With an average success rate of 97%, the collective focus on osseointegration makes sense. But infections still occur, implants are still lost, and there’s an increasing need to optimize the process further.
Dr. Marcel Kunrath, a clinical researcher and specialist in implant dentistry, has been conducting preclinical research on osseointegration for the Department of Biomaterials at the University of Gothenburg.
