Feeling stuck between your ambitious vision and the overwhelming reality of making it happen? You're not alone. Those big dreams of hosting conferences, leading women's groups, or becoming a sought-after speaker are within reach—they just require a strategic approach.

The key to transforming overwhelming goals into achievable realities lies in breaking them down into baby steps. Rather than seeing your conference as one massive undertaking, visualize the specific components: creating a ticket website, building brand awareness, growing your email list, and leveraging relationships with others who have your ideal audience. When approached as individual tasks, these elements become manageable pieces of your larger vision.

One crucial insight many entrepreneurs miss is the importance of runway. Give yourself nine to twelve months for significant projects, especially if you're still building brand awareness. This timeline allows potential attendees to discover you, understand your value, and make the decision to invest. For in-person events requiring venue contracts and room blocks, this extended planning period becomes even more critical—something I learned the hard way when facing cancellations during 2020. Beyond social media marketing, consider how podcast interviews and strategic list swaps can put you in front of established audiences, creating shortcuts to credibility that would otherwise take years to build.

If you're ready to transform your ambitious goals into reality but need support breaking them down into actionable steps, I'm here to help. I work one-on-one with clients and offer packages designed to meet you where you are, regardless of budget. Together, we can map the path from where you stand today to the legacy you're meant to create. Reach out now to start turning those overwhelming dreams into your remarkable reality.

Speaker 1:

Are you someone that is doing big things right now in your business? You have these really big goals of passing on your legacy. That's going to go beyond simple impact. You have big ideas for what you want to do. You want to host a conference, you want to start a women's group, you want to be able to speak around the country. Those are big goals and they can often be overwhelming because they seem so large. But what I want you to start to do is look at the baby steps that need to go into it. How can you start?

Speaker 1:

Any project that you're going to begin to do is going to seem overwhelming until you break it down into its pieces. This is anything in life is this way. So if you can take a big project and look at the pieces that have to go into it, which are tasks, it's going to make it that much simpler. So, if we're talking about you want to host your first in-person conference, what are the pieces that are going to have to go into that? Well, you're going to have to build up a website so that people can be able to purchase tickets. You're going to have to build brand awareness about it through, potentially, social media, making sure that you're growing your email list. How can you also build brand awareness without solely relying on creating your own content through social media or through blog posts or podcast episodes or YouTube videos? Also, potentially, you could look to utilize someone else's audience that has the ideal audience to come to your conference. So podcast interviews, youtube interviews, anything that can put you in front of someone else's audiences that, this way that you are leveraging this the big thing that I need you to make sure that you do is, anytime you're looking at building a big project like this, you need a good runway, especially when you're talking about putting up thousands of dollars in order to host a conference or summit. So we wanna make sure that we have a three to six month runway, if not even nine months, if you're planning it in person, where you're having to do a hotel and potentially they have to you are responsible for the rooms, and it just makes me shudder thinking about it because, of course, as many of you know, that was me and I used to do this, and prior to, of course, 2020 having to cancel in April of 2020, because of COVID being told by the hotel that, even though I had to cancel, I was still responsible for 40 rooms, because, of course, no one understood what COVID was, and I live in the South and everything was fine, it was totally fine. So sorry, off track.

Speaker 1:

But, point being, you need to make sure that you are giving yourself plenty of runway to get to that point. And if you are looking to build, if you're at the point where you're just starting to build brand awareness about this, you need to be giving yourself at least nine months to even a year, because if we're talking about utilizing social media for this, then you know it's going to take quite some time for someone to be able to understand that you are there, that you do this, and then to actually take that action. So if that is where you're at, where people do not know that you have this you are not well known yet, your social is kind of smaller make sure that your runway is very large for this. You're giving yourself nine to 12 months in order to make this happen and then, when you're going back, you're making sure that there's other pieces, of course, that go in correspond with that. Start trying to reach out, to do interviews with other people and write.

Speaker 1:

Potentially, maybe a list swap is always a great way to grow your email list with the right people. You just got to make sure that the person that you're doing the list swap with has the correct audience. So I really want you to start to make sure that you have this longer runway for yourself so that it makes everything simpler, not so complicated and just more light and easy, because, as we are looking at this, you have these big goals and I love it, but I also know that the overwhelm that can come from looking at something like this can be hard to overcome unless you break it down into its pieces, into its tasks. It will then become much simpler for you and if you are needing someone to help you break it down into the projects and tasks that are going to go into this, make sure that you reach out. I work one-on-one with my clients and I offer all sorts of packages that can work well for any budget, so that we can make sure that we are hitting you at where you are and where you need to be.
