Exclusive access to premium content!Feeling stuck in your business? You're not alone. That summer slowdown, back-to-school chaos, or any seasonal transition can leave even the most passionate entrepreneurs questioning their direction and motivation.
This episode dives deep into the three-step Reset Framework designed to transform those frustrating slowdown periods into powerful opportunities for realignment and growth. While yesterday we explored the emotional side of business motivation dips, today we're getting tactical with a structured approach to reclaiming your momentum.
First, you'll learn how to pause with purpose—not just stopping, but creating intentional space for reflection without immediately jumping to action plans. We explore how to evaluate your commitments, offers, and routines during seasonal transitions, helping you determine what needs to go, what needs to shift, and what simply needs rest. For business owners with families, we tackle the challenge of balancing your entrepreneurial drive with the ever-changing demands of family life.
The second step guides you through processing what worked and what didn't by leveraging your business data rather than just your feelings. You'll discover how to compare current performance against previous seasons, assess which aspects of your business truly energize you versus drain you, and conduct an honest audit of your goals to ensure they still align with your evolving vision.
Finally, we explore how to plan your rise by defining clear next steps for the coming month, establishing that big Q4 goal, and ensuring all your projects directly support your objectives. This is where we reconnect every tactical step back to your deeper why and ideal customer—because true alignment happens when your daily actions connect to your core purpose.
Ready to transform your business slowdown into your biggest comeback opportunity? Listen now, then join us tomorrow for the final installment where we'll put it all together to rebuild from a place of true alignment.
Yesterday I let you know that we are doing a three-part series this week on Reset to Rise, and yesterday we talked a little bit about this idea of the summer slowdown, how we can feel unmotivated and things to do.
Speaker 1:I gave you a journal prompt to be able to write through and really go through the feelings and emotions that you are feeling. That goes along with this. So if you haven't already listened to that episode, make sure you go back. But today we're going to talk about the reset framework and there are three steps to this, so that we can move forward and be able to really decide what is going to be in better alignment for us, and we're going to talk a lot about that tomorrow. The first step that I want you to do is I would need you to pause with purpose. I want you actually to sit and reflect, create the space to be able to do that and to not necessarily need to have an action plan right out of the gate and a to-do list. I want you just to sit and reflect, and you started to do that a little bit yesterday by doing that journal prompt. So you already probably have some ideas of where you were feeling out of alignment. Now what I also want you to do is take a look and evaluate your commitments, your offers and your routines Because, again, summer is often a time when this will happen, because there may not be a routine and because maybe you've taken that week off or a couple days off to spend time with family that it can be feel out of whack, because you're out of that routine that you're so used to. So really start to look at what is it that you need to do different and again, like we've talked about, this isn't just meant for summer. This is meant for any time of the year. Back to school can be a crazy time, especially for moms that have little ones, that you're having to do open house and now football starts and cheer and dance and volleyball and all the things, and coming up with that schedule you can feel over committed in many ways. So I want you to make sure that you really take a look at this and evaluate what it is that you are trying to accomplish.
Speaker 1:If you are in a season where more time has to go towards your kids, you need to be okay with that and understanding that it's part of your why, maybe of why you are doing the business that you are doing. If it's not and you're not okay with it, then you need to ask for help. You need to have conversation with your partner, maybe not only a significant other, maybe family members or friends that can maybe put a helping hand in to help out with some of those commitments that you've signed yourself up for. You also may want to evaluate those commitments. Are they truly necessary? We have a habit of trying to sign our kids up to 83 million things because we want them to be so well-rounded, but do they ever really get a chance to just be kids? I want you to think about that when you are looking at pausing with purpose. So, when you're looking at these commitments and routines, or even your offers, you need to decide what needs to go, what needs to be shift and what needs to have a just a rest. Where does it need to be? This is what you need to decide.
Speaker 1:The second step that we're going to do is you're going to process what worked and what didn't. You need to make sure that you are looking at data, so this can be done over the course of using your data from last year, are you noticing a significant drop from last summer, or are you just noticing, maybe potentially a drop from summer, from spring? So really start to make sure that you are looking at this and you're going to look at income, audience growth and, of course, your offers and how well they are doing. Are you continuing to sell? And again, I would look back at last year and potentially another two years even, to really see if this is something that is routinely happening over the summer, this is normal numbers for you or if you're just feeling that way because you do have a lack of routine. So when you're looking at this, you need to make sure that you are really starting to decide. What do you feel aligned with versus what you feel drained by? What are those things that, in your business, excite you, they light you up, you get excited about doing? Talked a little bit about this yesterday. Are you not wanting to get to the YouTube video, the podcast episodes, the book? What are the things that you are kind of continuing to push off and why? And the last piece of that second step is to audit your goals. Are they still your goals? Is that what you want? And this is where the 90-day plan program really comes into play and can help you determine that. So make sure that you take a look at that and figure this out for yourself.
Speaker 1:The third and final step is to plan your rise.
Speaker 1:You need to really look and define where you are going to take your steps forward in the next 30 days.
Speaker 1:You want to look at defining what that big Q4 goal is, which, again, is why the 90-day plan program is so important, because it helps you make sure that your projects and tasks are aligned with the goals that you are trying to accomplish.
Speaker 1:You also want to make sure this is a perfect time to make sure that you are aligned with your why and ideal customer. Maybe that ideal customer has shifted a little bit. Maybe the person that you're wanting to talk to is different than it used to be, so maybe that program that you thought you were going to be wanting to push out isn't quite the right fit. Maybe you're not looking to put up that new digital product. Whatever it might be, I want you to make sure that you're tying it back to your why, your overall purpose in your business and looking at your ideal customer. Is that the right fit for them? Now? Tomorrow, when we get back here, we're going to talk about how to rebuild from alignment, really making sure that we're using all three steps of what we have done today to be able to rise.
