For many of you listening to Unhinged, you're advanced business owners. Did that make you feel a little uncomfortable, as if you immediately probably thought I'm not an expert? Definitely not. Well, I'm here to tell you you absolutely are. I know who listens to the Unhinged, I know who is a premium podcast subscriber and you are experts in your industry. Now what we need to be able to do is continually turn that expertise into sales, and there are direct ways in which you can do that. We talked last week about a number of different ways in which you can do this, but I want to today really dive into the idea of being comfortable selling.
Speaker 1:Now, if you got that queasy feeling when I just told you that you're an expert, it's likely that you may also struggle with sales because the confidence, the imposter syndrome, the thoughts that run through your head are defeating you. So what I need you to do leading up to the turning visibility into sales challenge that I am running in October October 6th through the 10th I need you to start working on your mindset. I need you every day to be telling yourself that you are that expert, to look and see how much knowledge you provide, that you are the resource If you're coming up on the first page of Google based upon your topic of what you speak on and what you have become known for, you're an expert. You just are. If you're getting asked multiple questions, if you're being sought after to travel to the place that you talk about or being asked to speak at summits, and you have no idea who these people are that are reaching out to you, you are an expert and I need you to start telling yourself that, because, as you become more comfortable with that, sales become easier, because you start to get the attitude of you're dumb to not buy it. And when you speak with confidence, people are more likely to actually purchase. They're going to convert because they see the confidence that is oozing out of you because you were such an expert in your niche. So I want you to start working on your mindset, Start having these positive affirmations that you are saying to yourself and when I say affirmations, I'm not telling you that. I want you to start thinking about you are beautiful, you are strong. Those are things that we say to our kids when they're little right.
Speaker 1:You have to tell yourself that you are the expert. You should be speaking on stages. You have to know that you can make sales, and in order to do that, you have to start telling yourself that it seems so silly. But the more you can tell yourself I'm going to make a hundred sales on my product, I am going to have a launch that does $5,000, $10,000, $50,000. These are the thoughts that have to be going through your head because as you put that out, it will naturally flow into your confidence.
Speaker 1:You often hear me talk about if you have read my book Confidence it is the C in the PAC framework. I so truly, truly, through and through, believe that confidence is not something you were born with. It is something that you work on, and these positive affirmations can help you do that.
