Exclusive access to premium content!Tired of blaming the algorithm while your to-do list gathers dust? We get it. The real drag on momentum usually isn’t strategy—it’s avoidance dressed up as planning, perfectionism posing as high standards, and fear of visibility masquerading as “not the right time.” In this fast, focused conversation, we break down why good plans stall, how emotional resistance hijacks execution, and what it takes to ship work that actually moves the needle.
We start by naming the hidden culprits: weeks spent learning instead of implementing, launches delayed by “just one more tweak,” and the nervous system’s natural pushback against anything unfamiliar. If success feels unsafe when struggle is familiar, you’re not broken—you’re wired to protect yourself. That’s why we trade action for endless prep: it feels safer. The fix isn’t a brand-new playbook; it’s consistent follow-through on the strategies you already have.
You’ll hear practical ways to lower friction and increase output: change your environment so action is the default, create binary metrics that reward shipping over polishing, and adopt a “two-move” rule that shrinks the gap between intention and delivery. We also dig into the power of accountability—how real-time feedback, co-working, and a supportive community turn scary steps into repeatable habits. Most importantly, we challenge you to pick one avoided action and do it today. Send the pitch. Announce the offer. Ask for the meeting. Let the data, not the doubt, guide your next step.
If you’re ready to replace analysis paralysis with real progress, this conversation is your nudge to move. Apply for Mastermind!
If you think that your lack of results is from a lack in strategy, you're lying to yourself. We have such a tendency of trying to blame algorithms and platforms and timing instead of actually looking inward, where it is often the problem. Oftentimes, the real culprit behind slow progress is going to be avoidance disguised as planning. We'll be spending weeks learning instead of implementing. We often will find ourselves having perfectionism that is actually masking the fact that we're trying to raise our standards but ending up in avoidance. We have a tendency to make fear-based decisions by delaying pitches or launches and asks and our visibility. And these are all culprits that are slowing our progress. So what we need to figure out is that the problem isn't our strategy, execution actually is. You have decent strategies, but inconsistent follow-through. And it's often because emotional resistance equals unfinished tasks. It's a big part of just the way that we are wired as humans. The nervous system is how your brain literally resists the unfamiliar. That feeling of not wanting to do something, of trying to avoid it, is natural. It's our way of protecting ourselves. And it's the reason why success feels unsafe, especially if you're used to struggle. It's something new that your body is not used to. So today, I want you to shift. So I want you to pick one action you've been avoiding and do it today. Whether that's you're going to need to change your environment of where you are getting those tasks done so that you can actually change the outcome, or if you're going to need the accountability that's uncomfortable but effective. Now, if you are listening and you feel you could need that outed added accountability, the opportunity to celebrate your wins and the constant feedback about where you're going in your business while pushing you to move forward, then I highly recommend filling out an application for our mastermind. You can go to jenymellers.com forward slash mastermind info, all one word, and it will be linked in the show notes as well. We would love to have you as part of our group.
