Exclusive access to premium content! The rush to finish the year can swallow the joy of the season, so we’re choosing something different: a clear pause. We announce a holiday break for the week of Christmas and walk through a practical approach to unplugging without losing momentum, using simple breadcrumb notes that make January re-entry smooth, fast, and focused. If you’ve built your 2026 plan, this is the moment to trust it—and if you’re still tying up loose ends, we share how to mark your place so you can rest fully and return ready.
We ground the conversation in gratitude and service, not as slogans but as strategy. You’ll hear prompts to spot what changed in your life since last year, which relationships fueled your growth, and where your work created real impact. We talk about family traditions like delivering cookies or volunteering, and why these acts reset perspective when stress runs high. By noticing the wins, naming what matters, and giving back, you shift your mind from scarcity to abundance and open the door to better decisions in 2026.
To help you thrive through the break, we outline a quick, repeatable system: write a brief handoff note to your future self, define one outcome for your first week back, list three priority tasks, and choose the very first 30-minute action. This tiny plan preserves context, avoids scope creep, and protects your energy. Then, close the laptop, savor the season, and let rest do its work. We wrap with a heartfelt wish for a Merry Christmas and a challenge to make 2026 your strongest year yet.
If this message lands, share it with someone who needs permission to pause. Subscribe for more grounded strategy, leave a rating or review to help others find the show, and tell us: what breadcrumb will you leave your future self before you unplug?
You probably heard me mention yesterday that we will not be having unhinged episodes for the week of Christmas, which is next week. So if you're popping in next week and you're hearing this because you missed this week, then you know that there's none coming for that for that week of Christmas. I really want you to make sure that you are taking time to enjoy your time with your family, your time for with yourself. At this point, I know that the majority of my unhunged listeners have done the work to make sure that they have a plan for 2026 all ready to go. So next week is your time to unplug, to step away from things. Make sure before you do that that you leave yourself breadcrumbs as to where you want to pick back up. If you haven't quite finished something that you wanted to get done, you still will have a couple days in 2025 before we go into 2026, the week after. So leave yourself some notes so that you know exactly what you need to pick up on, where you kind of left off. Make sure that you know what you are stepping into that week as we tie up this week and get ready to hopefully take next week off for the holidays. I want you to be able to take that time to not only uh make sure that you are taking care of yourself, but also really taking the time to enjoy the season. What are you grateful for? What are the things that you have that are amazing in your life that you didn't have last year? What relationships do you have? What can you continue to grow on? I think that this is a really important time of year when the girls were little. I would always try to make you to have people talk about, well, they were gonna go deliver cookies to the fire department and to all, you know, try to make sure that they are serving in a soup kitchen. Or it is about making sure that you're trying to give back, but it's really also important that you are taking the time to be grateful for what you have and the family that you have surrounding yourself, friends, extended family, all of it. Because this is the time of year where we can often get muddled in the stress of it all, and sometimes it's just an important part of making sure that you reflect on your whole life as a business and as a person. So I really want to make sure that you take that time to do this. It's gonna be part of really feeling like you're surviving over the next week and not simply just surviving, but also thriving through it and enjoying it and getting that time to yourself so that you can come back ready to go for 2026. Because I am so looking forward to seeing what you all do in your businesses in 2026. So I hope that I get to continue to work with each and every one of you. And I want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and let's make 2026 the best year that we can.
