The name on the door should match the work we do—and ours didn’t anymore. We’ve outgrown the “influencer” label and moved to Practice to Profit, a clearer promise for entrepreneurs who want sustainable revenue, simpler systems, and real confidence in their decisions. This rebrand isn’t a coat of paint; it’s a commitment to serving founders who care less about vanity metrics and more about building offers, owning audiences, and making profitable choices.

We walk through the exact reasoning behind the change and the moment it clicked back into focus. After asking our community for book recommendations and diving into Surge by Mike Michalowicz, we doubled down on niching with precision, speaking our customer’s language, and riding the right wave in the market. That lens helped us refine who we serve: product and service entrepreneurs who use content as a tool, not a business model. You’ll hear how words attract or repel, why a name can pull the wrong audience, and how to reset the signal so the right people lean in.

Nothing you love about the show goes away. We’re keeping the practical playbooks, revenue-minded tactics, and honest talk about pricing, positioning, email, offers, and operations. What’s new is a sharper throughline: practices that compound into profit. Expect episodes that map strategy to steps you can ship this week—validating products with real conversations, tightening messaging to match buyer language, and tracking the few metrics that move cash flow. We also unpack smart pivots from leaders like Amy Porterfield and Jenna Kutcher, showing how to spot shifting waves and decide with clarity instead of fear.

If you’re considering a pivot, let this be your nudge to choose focus over friction. Hit follow, share this with a founder who’s ready to grow on purpose, and leave a quick review to help more entrepreneurs find the show. Your next profit leap starts with one practice—what will you change today?

SPEAKER_00:

This week is a very exciting week because the podcast will rebrand Sunday. It will turn to Practice to Profit podcast with Jenny Melrose instead of influencer entrepreneurs. And I wanted to talk about the why behind this. And it's kind of interesting because if you are an insider, you may have noticed that I asked everyone to share their favorite business book recently. Because I used to be a very voracious reader. I would read all the things, and COVID hit, and I just stopped reading, and I want to get back to it. And one of the books that was recommended is by one of my favorite authors, and I had never read it before. And it also happens to be from one of my favorite clients that recommended it. So the book is called Search, and it's by Mike McAllowitz, who also wrote The Pumpkin Plan and Profit First, which, if you've been around for a while, you know I love both of these books. So it made sense for me to read it. Well, in Surge, it talks about this idea of getting really specific on your niche, who it is that you are speaking to, and making sure that you ride the wave in offering everything that they need and truly understanding them to the best of your ability, providing them with the solutions that they need, the language, the way in which you show them that you have the solution and the way in which you teach them based on the pain points that they have. And this really hits home as I had already decided that I was going to rebrand. Probably about two weeks ago, I made the decision that it needed to be rebranded. And the real reason it comes down to it is because the word influencer to me isn't what I had wanted it to turn into. It kind of had that negative scope, and I tried riding that wave and I've gotten knocked off. I feel it just brings the wrong audience that I'm I'm not looking for. I'm looking for the entrepreneur side of it that is looking to expand their business and look at profits and look to see what kind of products they can bring to their audiences and continue to grow. I'm not looking for the one that wants to be on social media and try to get paid by the platforms and not have any true way of having their own product or service other than themselves and their audiences that they are really trying to use in order to show other brands that they are valuable. So this whole turn for me from influencer entrepreneur to practice to profit is the new kind of wave, as it likes to say in search, that I am wanting to ride. I want to work with entrepreneurs that are looking to grow their profits in their business and want to become confident business owners that are no longer constantly questioning everything that they do, but feel like they have an actual path and a focus in the direction they are trying to go. And that is what I offer and what I want to be able to provide through the podcast, through my services, through my products. So you're gonna see Sunday that the podcast is just gonna come out with a rebrand. There's a short episode that introduces it Sunday. And then Monday, the episodes will just start having a new intro. The target, the topics that we are talking about are still the same. It's just the name didn't work. It wasn't attracting the right people. And I really wanted to be clear that the purpose of the podcast is to put specific practices in place that are going to give you confidence that will lead to profit in your business. So if you are someone that feels like you need to rebrand, you need to pivot. You may have noticed that there's a lot of people doing that right now. Last week I talked a little bit about Amy Porterfield and Jenna Kutcher because there was a little bit of tea that happened about people calling them out for pivoting. And they're smart business owners. They've seen that the pocket of their wave, as Mike McCalwood says, is turning and they need to either jump to a different wave or decide what's going to be the better product for them. And that's what they're doing, and that's business. So I am excited to take you on this journey with me. If you have questions, please let me know. And if you know someone that could benefit from the podcast, I would love it if you would share it with them. And if you haven't already left a rating and review, please take the chance and the opportunity to do so.
