Big visions are easy to love; steady revenue is harder to build. We walk you through a practical path to turn a meaningful mission into consistent income by designing a focused 90-day plan that connects what you sell to the life you want. Instead of chasing platforms and juggling five projects at once, we zero in on one core offer, clarify who it serves, and map the exact steps that move buyers from interest to decision.

Across this conversation, we unpack why vision without structure leads to scattered offers, inconsistent marketing, and feast-or-famine results. We define revenue design as the missing bridge between your dream and your bank account—choosing a primary offer, setting clear priorities, and aligning every piece of content and email to support a single sales path. You’ll hear why most entrepreneurs stall at the idea stage, how reactive work hijacks growth, and what changes when you commit to a measurable 90-day objective backed by projects, tasks, and real deadlines.

We also share a simple framework: vision → strategy → action. Start with how the business needs to support your life, translate that into a concrete revenue plan, and then execute with weekly deliverables and metrics. Expect tactical guidance on picking your focus, shaping messages that address buyer objections, and turning launches from forced sprints into compound momentum. By the end, you’ll know exactly how to prioritize, what to stop doing, and how to build the bridge from dream to dollars—without burning out or guessing your way forward.

From Vision To Impact

SPEAKER_00

I am beyond blessed to be able to work with clients that have a deeper vision for their business. It's often about the impact that they want to make, which excites me because that gives it makes it so much easier for me to want to work even harder to make sure that I am helping them get to where they need to be. And because of this, many of you start off with this overall idea of where you want your business to go and the impact that you want to make. But we often will look very busy on the outside when people look in as far as the content creation and the email marketing and all the things that we are doing that is busy work, that are checking off to-dos. But the revenue isn't always matching the effort. And the problem isn't the vision, it's what happens after the vision. Most entrepreneurs stop at the idea stage. And what we have to realize is that vision isn't enough. You have to make sure that yes, you can dream big and you can picture the life that you want to lead and the passion needs to be there. But vision without structure creates scattered, offered, inconsistent marketing, and often random revenue, which ends up being high peaks and low, low dips. So it's important that we understand that vision is the starting point, not the strategy. The real problem is that there's no bridge between vision and revenue. So what we need to do is have an intentional design. And in order to do this, we have to have a revenue design, which should come down to what are you selling that actually supports the vision? Not what should I post or what platform should I use? This again is the busy work. Instead, we need to be looking at making sure that it's in line with the vision that we are trying to go and what are we selling in order to aid that. Without revenue design, our offers are often random, our launches can feel forced, and income can fluctuate. So we need to make sure that when we are doing this, we have strategic priorities that are involved in what we are doing. Most entrepreneurs will try to do too many things at once. They're going to launch a course, grow a podcast, start a membership, build an email list, create digital products. The result is that nothing gets enough focus to grow. Revenue grows when priorities are clear. So pick one way in which you are going to grow your revenue over the course of the next 90 days. And we often, in doing this, will not have an actual plan. So the vision often will live in this idea of having all these great random thoughts, but no way of putting it into a clear plan for the next 90 days. Your execution ends up becoming reactive. You put out fires in your emails, you answer DMs, you're doing again all of the busy work. So instead, what we want to do is have our vision go to our strategy, which then goes to your action. And this is exactly what we've been talking about so often when you hear me about creating your 90-day plans. You need to have a vision that actually explains the business actually needs to support your life. How is it going to go about doing that? Then you have to decide what offers will generate that income and what then must happen in the next 90 days with the exact steps to make it happen. And this is where we talk about having a goal with then having your plan that is going to create the projects and tasks that are going to go into that. That is the key difference between hoping revenue happens and planning for it. So instead, what I want you to do is start to think about what is that one area of revenue that you are going to focus on? What is the one product that you are focusing on in promoting in the next 90 days in order to sell, right? So that you can make sure that your content is in line with that, your emails are in line with that. All of your marketing is more strategic and in place. Now, if you are someone that is listening and you probably don't feel like you need another strategy or another platform or an offer idea, what you really are probably thinking is you need a step-by-step plan. And that's why I'm putting together the Vision to Plan Intensive. It is a four-day live event where we are going to hop on via Zoom. We're going to go over how to refine and define your vision for the next 90 days, and then how you're going to be able to put together the revenue design, as well as then what are the steps that you have to take in order to do that. Now, not only am I going to be teaching this, but we are going to have co-working time where you can actually get this done. You will have workbook pages that are going to ask you specific prompts to move you along. So if you haven't already signed up for the Vision to Plan Intensive, make sure that you do. It is March 23rd through the 25th. You can go to jennymelrose.com forward slash vision dash to dash plan, and it is linked in the show notes for you.
