If your email list has stalled, it’s probably not because you need more ideas. It’s because you need better access to the right audiences, and you need it consistently. We’ve used AI for outlines, sales emails, and content creation, but the overlooked advantage is AI for research: finding the podcasts, creators, and website owners who already serve the people you want to reach.

We dig into a simple growth system built on collaboration. Think podcast guesting where you can offer your opt in, list swaps with creators who have a similar audience, and partner connections that put you in front of new subscribers without chasing trends. The time sink is always the same: searching for shows, guessing keywords, and hunting down contact info. We explain how to prompt AI to compile a targeted research list, then how to sanity check it so you’re only reaching out to active, relevant platforms.

Then we get blunt about what actually gets you a “yes.” We’re seeing 8 to 10 pitches hit the inbox every day, and most get trashed because they’re obviously generic AI copy. We share how to use AI to research each host or site so your pitch email becomes specific, human, and audience aware, the kind that stands out and earns real collaborations.

Subscribe for more practical creator marketing, share this with a friend who’s stuck on list growth, and leave a review with the collaborations you want to land next.

Quick Recap Of AI Uses

We've talked a lot about how you can utilize AA. AA. Oh my goodness gracious. Not AA. AI for your content creation. How to utilize it for creating emails that you can send with a call to action to read your blog post or your YouTube watch your YouTube video or listen to your podcast episode. We've also talked about using AI to write sales emails for a launch that you have, for a product or service that you're putting out. And we've also talked about how to use AI for content creation as far as podcast episodes, YouTube, actually outlining them for you, getting ideas that are based around the same kind of concept so that you can have big broad content that you stick to. Today I actually want to talk about the idea of using AI for research. So one of the things that we are constantly talking about is how you're going to need to continue to grow your email list. No matter who you are, you have to continue to grow your list. You are going to have people unsubscribe. That is the natural wave of the way that things work. So because of that, you need to continue to find ways to get out in front of people. And today I want to talk about how we can actually use AI in order to help us with this. Because in order to grow your list, you need to be getting on potentially other podcasts that have a similar audience to you, where you can offer your opt-in. You need to potentially be doing list swaps with other creators that have a similar audience. And this can be time consuming to do if you are going through your podcasting app and looking for keywords that is going to attract that audience. And then find all those emails to go with those people. Why can't you use AI? And that's the trick. Utilize AI to do your research. Ask it to research podcasts that have a similar audience to you, and then find emails for the podcast hosts in order to pitch them to either get onto their podcast, potentially to do a list swap if they have a list. You obviously are going to want to check these podcasts to make sure that they are still up to date, they're still producing content, but it's a faster way to do it than going through and trying to do it yourself based on the keywords that you think they are going to be showing for. It's also a great way to be able to find potential people that have a that are doing a list swap. You could ask them to look for particular types of opt-ins, particular types of guides that would attract your audience, but isn't the guide that you were offering. And then once it finds it, to be able to find the email list for that particular website owner so that you can start doing website uh list swaps with them. This is a great way to start doing more and more research. I think we often will ask AI to do certain things for us, help us brainstorm, create outlines, write emails, do sales copy, but we're forgetting that it can also do the research part. And the research is a huge piece of this. Explaining what you're looking for, telling it to look for a copy of what the idea is based on the concepts you're trying to find for the audience, even asking it. I'm looking for an audience of people that are looking to improve upon their finances or better their relationships. Who has this audience already? What website owners? Show me, research these, compile them for me so that I can start contacting them. And then when you go to contact them, obviously, AI, write me a pitch email to be able to send that's going to be specific to that person. That's the key with this. I recently got asked, is it a good idea to try to do podcast swaps or to do backlinks or to do list swaps? Sure, it's great. But you cannot use the same swipe copy to pitch an email to one podcaster as you can to the other. You have to make it specific to stand out. I am getting eight to 10 pitches in my inbox per day to come onto my podcast. And every single one of them goes into the trash because I can immediately tell that it is AI generated and it is not specific to my podcast at all. It often hasn't even wasted the time to find my name. So you have to make sure that you are setting yourself apart, that you understand their audience, and AI can help you do this. It can research and get more information based upon the podcast, based upon the website, so that your pitch is specific to them. Make sure you are changing up these pitches. This is how people are going to say yes to you and want to collaborate and work with you. This is how you can continue to grow your list with the right people.
