JennyThere are different terms that are thrown around when it comes to AI and how to rank. So I wanted to kind of break these down a little bit today. Oftentimes you will hear people talking about LLM, Geo, GPT. They're all newer marketing SEO concepts that are tied to how AI tools like ChatGPT, Google AI, Claude, Gemini, how they go about recommending businesses.
What An LLM Recommendation Means
JennySo what we really want to understand when it comes to LLM, it stands for large language model. It's the AI systems that power tools like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. When you hear that, you're trying to ask the question how do I get AI tools to mention or recommend my brand, business, content, or website when users ask questions. So if someone were to go in into ChatGBT and ask who is the best person therapist-wise to recommend a supervisor course, that is where you want to come up with that. And if AM mentions your brand organically, that's considered being recommended by an LLM. It's obviously become very important.
GEO And AEO Explained
JennySo when it comes to GEO or generative engine optimization, it's basically SEO for AI generated answers. Instead of optimizing only for Google rankings, GEO focuses on helping the AI systems. It understands your expertise, trusts your content, and gives you surface your brand in AI responses. It gives you that opportunity to show up. You'll also hear terms like AI SEO, LLM optimization, answer engine optimization, or AEO. They're all related and they all mean the same thing. How can you make sure that you are coming up when people are utilizing AI tools? So whether it is being recognized as the person that has the supervision course, or if it's being recognized for having the answer to a specific question that is content related, it's all how you are going to be cited with these AI responses.
What AI Systems Favor Most
JennyNow, there are specific ways that businesses can get recommended, and many of you are already doing them because you have been doing keyword research, making sure that you are utilizing words that people are using when they ask questions. That's the most important part to realize with this. So the big thing to keep in mind when it comes to this is that AI systems tend to actually favor specific things. They want consistent expertise. So you're talking about the same topic. This is why we create that web of content, right? They want well-structured content. Again, this is why we always make sure that we have our blog posts looking like outlines so it's easy to be crawled and easy to be understood. We want to make sure there's a clear topical focus. So which specific areas are you looking to be known for and making sure that your website has it structured in a way that people can easily access that content. We also want brand, other brands, other websites to be mentioning us across the web. And you want to obviously be a trusted website. If you have any sort of FAQs where on your website that it's going to be specific to specific products, like a supervision course, that is also going to be key because it's going to make sure that it's

Jennythere. And then something else that is doing really well for AI is if you are having podcast interviews. This is huge when it comes to being found in AI because you're being seen as an expert on another platform where it's utilizing your voice and you're being noted. So when you are really starting to think about this, you want to make sure that you are utilizing your frameworks because frameworks, again, are your original content. You become known for that framework. So if you haven't already created a framework for the content that you are producing, I would highly recommend this. Someone in our space, it's really gonna come be important that you continue to do the keyword research, that you are getting on different podcasts as being interviewed and having others on yours if you have one. And you want to make sure that you keep at those branded frameworks. They matter, they make a difference, they make you stand out. AI is noticing those.
