Physicians tend to be logical thinkers who follow logical mostly linear pathways to solve problems and to be successful. However, that thought process can stymie successful transitions to interesting and rewarding nonclinical jobs. After all, leaving practice is a decidedly non-linear activity. So, don't try to make it one. Think creatively to make the most of your nonclinical career transition.
