The Wednesday wellbeing show 6th of April 2022 with Jote Prakash
This weeks guest on the #wednesdaywellbeing show is Kundalini yoga teacher and men's work facilitator JotePrakash Singh Khalsa
Jote Prakash spent much of his life craving elevation and ecstatic states. From being young, and finding it through high-octane extreme sports such as parkour and breakdancing to being a teenager and looking for it through drugs and alcohol.
After a spiritual awakening that was un-grounded and happened too quickly (the doctors called it psychosis, he calls it 'The Big Trip') he was gifted the chance to become a Kundalini Yoga Teacher.
And so, through the practice, at age 18, he came to the realisation that all the joyful and hightened states in the Universe can be inspired within ourselves - he still loves parkour of course but the drugs and alcohol have been shown the door.
Jote is now creating spaces and setting up an off grid Community and Whole-istic wellbeing centre called The Rising Dawn Sanctuary.
Here he works with a team of guardians however, they are still looking for land.
Jote is a Mentor and teacher he hosts Men's retreats that are like therapeutic rites of passage. He also has a mixed retreat combining sound healing and yoga in May 2022.
Recently he faced extreme challenges so tonights show explores just how we can overcome, grow and heal as a result of the challenges life can throw our way.
