The Wednesday wellbeing show 4th of August 2021 with Nicky Holins
This week in the #wednesdaywellbeing show I'm chatting with sunshiny, joy filled, earth mother, medicine woman Nicky Holins.
Nickys life dramatically changed after her beautiful partner chose to take his own life. Nicky decided to prioritize freedom and began home educating her daughter focusing on her emotional wellbeing, finding her passion and choosing autonomous teaching. An approach to learning in which learners hold the power or right to regulate and control their own learning activities. Learners are in charge of their own learning processes with autonomy. Autonomous learning is also called self-directed learning.
Nickys passion is to empower others, support them and just love them fully.
Her work helps people to process grief, and uses traditional methods influenced by African tribal traditions, a deep connection with our ancestors, the seasons of life and the earth.
Nicky like many of us is a huge chocolate lover and she works with Cacao a plant medicine, a teacher plant that heals and has loads of health, and wellbeing benefits.
Tonight we talk hugs, grief, connection, the Goddess, plant medicine changes in our lives, menopause and we go on a joyful adventure.
