Welcome to the Success by the Book Podcast, the place where Christians who want to experience the extravagant goodness of God in all areas of their lives come from mentorship. I am your host, Dr. Inna, and I'll be unpacking the secrets I have learned from the Word of God over the last two decades. Let's dive in. Your problem is not too big. Your problems are not too big, your challenges are not too big. The things that make you afraid are not too big. The thing that is too little is our view of God. And once we can fix this, everything changes. I want you to think about the things that frustrate you, uh, the things that make you get afraid, uh, the things that make you go like, I'm just tired, I can't deal with this anymore. I want you to think about goals that you've chased down for a while. I want you to think about all of these things. They're not big because they're big. They're big, they seem big because our view of God is too small. Okay. All right. So what I'm gonna do for you is these are my notes from service. Uh, this was yesterday. So this was this was on Sunday. And I want to read for you verbatim what I felt like God laid in my spirit when he started talking to me about this. You guys know I spill all my beans. That's what I come to do here on Success by the Book. So I'm gonna share with you what he said, okay? And, you know, do I have big challenges that I'm dealing with? Of course. Of course. You have, you know, big goals you're chasing down, things that you've tried to overcome, you know, like milestones you've tried to overcome, you haven't overcome yet, you're working through and all of that. So this is what he said to me. He said, don't be more aware of any challenge than you are of me and my greatness. I want you to think about it. Don't be more aware of your challenges than you are of me and my greatness. Now, when you think about it, you might say, no, no, no, no, no. I know more about God than I do about my challenges, but I want you to think about this, okay? And I want you to type in the chat, hi, cuz if you're like, I get it. There are times when, let's say, I you so I like using business and numbers because numbers are just easy to measure. So let's say that you had a time in your business you were working on having your first hundred thousand dollar month or$10,000 a month, a million dollar month, wherever you fall. And you had been going at it, but you're like, oh man, I have to upgrade my sales system. And oh man, I don't yet think like the kind of person who can generate that. Oh man, this, oh man, that. And you actually think about that a lot more than you think about the God who gives who gives you wisdom, the God who gives you favor, the God who gives you strategy, the God who gives you strength and boldness, the God who can make sure a name is mentioned in the right quarters. You actually spend more time thinking about this. And sometimes you may say, Oh, I'm strategizing, you know, I'm trying to come up with a solution. But the truth of the matter is you are meditating on all the reasons why you can't pull it off, and you're not at all thinking about the God who makes things like this possible. So is it possible to focus more on the problem, the challenge, the on all of that than you do God and his greatness? Yes. So please don't listen to this and say, oh no, no, I don't, I've never done anything like that, right? Okay. So he said, don't be more aware of any challenge than you are of me and my greatness. Does that mean we pretend challenges are not there? No, but we need to be more aware of God. Okay. Then he says, I, meaning God, and the vision I gave you are to be your predominant meditation. So the thing I'm rolling over and over and over in my mind needs to be God, his greatness, what he can do for me, how he can help me, how he's done it for other people, how he's done it for me in a different way in my life. All of these things. This is my meditation. The assignment that he gave me, the end of it, right? Not just, oh, this is assignments, okay, figure it out. That's not what God does. If God tells you to do something, it's already done. He's just asking you to, you know, play it out here on earth. And so meditating on the end of that, like looking at your vision boards, all of that. He's like, this is to be your predominant meditation. Okay. So he goes on to say, study me, my power, my wisdom, my plans for you, my glory, etc. Study these things, study these things, know these things. Okay. Then he goes on to say, you can't know who you are. So even as far as showing up boldly, confidently, doing what God told you to do, and all, he says, you can't know who you are, aka a child of God, if you don't know me, God. And so if you think, if you don't think God is very powerful, like your default thinking, right? Because if I ask anybody, is God powerful? Oh, yes, yes, yes. But our default thinking, if a default thinking is not that he's powerful, he's wise, and all of that, like you're a child of God, what does that mean? Because your reference point is God. So if you don't know God, you can't know who you are as a child of God. Okay. So it says, if you if you don't, if you don't, if you don't know, you can't know who you are, child of God, if you don't know me, God. Then it says, if you don't know me, you'll have an identity crisis. And if you have an identity crisis, the be do have formula will be corrupted. So remember that in in in the book we released um late last year, your best year yet, we talked about, you know, you have to God the formula is you will be, and then you do, and then you have, right? And so if your if your understanding of who you are, your be is upside down, then you're not gonna show up like that person, you're not gonna act like that person, so you can have the results they have. You guys see this? So he was like, you can't be more aware of the challenges, you can't be more aware of the reasons why you can't pull it up. You can't be more aware of all these things than you are of me. How can I then become of this person who knows, who is more aware of God, who's more aware of what God can do, God's power, God's wisdom, God's favor, right? More aware of that, God's glory, more aware of that than the challenges. And so I know that I know that I know that every challenge is designed to be overcome. Period. End of story. Okay, so here I am minding my business in church, and he starts talking about all this stuff. Okay, all right. So um, I have my Bible, I have my notebook, I have all this stuff. We're gonna get through some good stuff here, okay? So your goals, uh, they're not too big. Your past failures, sometimes we think about that. Are we gonna repeat them? Or blah blah blah, or maybe the damage that's been done for them is irreparable, right? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Current limitations, like they're permanent. Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah. We're gonna look at how big our God is. Okay, so let's look at two opposing things because what I'm gonna show you is really a process of starving your doubt and building your faith, right? Starving your doubt, building your faith. And these two things come, they come the same way. How does faith come? The Bible talks about it in Romans 10:17. It says, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Faith comes by hearing the word of God. You want to be this person who knows God. The Bible says, and they who do know their God, this is Daniel 11, 32, they who do know their God will be strong and do exploits. So those who do not know their God will not be strong and will not do exploits. So if we want to do kingdom-level exploits, what do we need to do? We need to know God. We need to know Him. Like, oh, God is just mysterious. Okay, well, you tell me. If somebody was planning to be mysterious, would they write 66 books about themselves? Right? Like, yes, there are parts of God we'll never know, but 66, we cannot exhaust the revealed knowledge of God in this lifetime. Okay, so not that much of a mystery. We have enough to know, right? Okay, so it's they who do know their God who be strong and do exploit. So, exploit. So, how does faith come? It comes by hearing and hearing and hearing. So you hear it when you go to church, you hear it when you come on the rise and shine, you hear it when you do your Bible study, you hear it when you're meditating on it, you hear, hear, hear. The more you hear, the more you have faith. And oh my goodness, if you have faith in the God who is with you, everything changes, right? Okay, how does fear come? Fear comes by hearing. Hearing what? The things that are the opposite of the word of God. Okay, and so God is like you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you, you're my masterpiece, all of that. And the world tells you you're no good, you can't do this, you're not the kind of person who can do that, and all that. The more you hear that, the more you have faith, aka fear in from in that, right? So faith comes by hearing, fear comes by hearing, faith comes by hearing, doubt comes by hearing, faith comes by hearing, the negative part comes by hearing as well. So, what are we gonna hear? How are we gonna strategically like set ourselves up so we can hear what we need to hear, to grow in our faith of who God is, and then God becomes big in our minds because God is big by himself. But the question is, how does he how does he what is our view of him? If our view is small, it will look as if he's small in our lives, even though he's not. Okay, all right. So faith comes by hearing. Okay, so how how does faith come by hearing? How does faith go by not hearing? How does doubt come by hearing? How does doubt go away by not hearing? Okay, but now we're going to focus on hearing, hearing, hearing, like how do we study God, growing our knowledge of God? So in our mind, God looks like He actually is, right? So if you are at home and an airplane flies overhead, I hope you know the airplane looks really small, but is it small? No, it's just our view of it. So is God is God's size dependent on what we know of him? No, but our view will be dependent on what we know about him. So we're about to get the right view, okay? All right, so let's take a look at this here. I'm gonna give you three things you can look up to pull this off. Okay, I'm gonna give you three things. Did you guys like that? I share I shared with you my notes from from service. Actually, let me do this before I do that. We launched what we call the success by the book inner circle. Okay, so we launched this on Saturday. It was a soft launch. We didn't actually announce it. Um, and then what that is is the things, the personal dealings I have with God, the things He's showing me to do that I'm working on in real time, I am sharing those in the inner circle. Okay, so I will come back. Um, you know, for instance, I just did one um where God started talking to me about the reason why there was a certain goal I was trying to hit, and he's like, Yeah, you're not set up to hit that. You are violating this principle here, you're not set up to hit that. And then he sent, he he create, helped me create a 90-day plan of how to brainwash myself so I can become the kind of person who can pull that off. Okay. So we put that. So I called it my 90-day mental diet for quantum leaps. And so um, I want to invite you, you can come join us in the inner circle. Um, the team has posted the link and all that. It's only 20 bucks a month for the inner circle and all of that stuff, but we're gonna have a lot of fun, a lot of fun. And if you're already a part of it, you already listened to that episode, uh, then you can let people know in the chat how that was for you. Okay. Okay. All right, excellent. Now, three things to look at. What do I need to meditate on, speak, visualize, all this stuff so that I can shrink my problems, my view of my problems, and expand my view of God. Okay, that's what we're trying to do. Shrink how big the problem seems, expand our view of God. Okay, so number one, number one place we can look at is the names of God. The names of God are not random. They're um they they they show his attributes, they show what he does, they show who he is, right? Okay, so let me give you an example of a few of them. And after after today, you will find out that you are such a powerful, bold believer. And I can't wait to see this for you. Okay, so let's look at some names of God, and sometimes in worship we just sing them, but we forgot what they mean, okay. Now, one name of God is Jehovah Rapha, and it means God, the healer. Okay, so now we're not making any of these up. Let's go to the scripture. This is success by the book, after all, Exodus chapter 15, verse 26. Okay, I want to I'm gonna show this to you. Okay. Now it says, if you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his sight, give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians. Then he makes a statement. He says, For I am the Lord who heals you. I am the Lord who heals you. Now, if you are trusting God for long life or you're touching, you're trusting God to be healed. Are you more aware of the illness or more aware of Rafa? Right? Jehovah Rapha. And I want you to think about this. God says, I am the one who heals you, I am your physician, I am your personal physician, I am I am the one who heals you. So the question then becomes Is there anybody who can put on you an illness that is like, and God is like, oh, oopsie, oopsie, never seen that one before. Don't know what to do. I mean, I know I'm God and all, but I ain't got nothing for that. No, there's literally no disease he can't heal. Now, even as you know, doctors and all this stuff, they're newer and newer and newer discoveries that are being made in healthcare and all that. Is God making new discoveries now? He knows everything there is to know. Jehovah Rapha. Now, the person who is Jehovah Rapha is the same person who built your body. So if he built it, I want you to think about this. How badly does a Mercedes, so let's say a 2026 S class, how badly does it have to be damaged for Mercedes to say, oh, there's nothing we can do about this? No, because even if there are parts that are broken, they made the parts, they can replace them. Even if it's something that is completely destroyed, they built it, they can rebuild it. This is and that so God made us. And if there are parts that need to be remade, he can remake them. So is there any disease too difficult for your physician to heal? No. Now, let me just say this, okay? Because we're Christians, we want to stay in the middle of the road, okay? And so some people say, Well, he's my physician, and I antagonize uh physicians. No, a lot of times God works in partnership with physicians, right? He he does that. So it doesn't mean physicians are bad. It just means you have an ultimate physician, the one who has the final say, okay? All right. So, God, my physician, my physician, my healer. Now, I want you to imagine meditating on that, brooding on that, meditating on that, thinking about that. Like, what is too difficult for him to heal? Nothing. What is too difficult for him to turn around? Nothing, right? And your understanding and revelation of that becomes so much bigger than your revelation of you know, of what the illness is. Now, I want to, you know, like for instance, when when I had my first daughter, um, she at 21 weeks, she was diagnosed with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia. And basically what that means is the big muscle between the chest cavity and the abdomen, uh there was a hole in it. And it was a hole nice enough that most of her liver was in her chest. And because her liver was in her chest, her lungs had no space to grow. So her lung volume was at 9%, like one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine. And they're just like, just abort this child, start over, don't worry about it. Okay. But then I could go to the final, the overall physician, right? Like, so if he built the body, he can rebuild the body. You know what I'm saying? And then, so we then what did I do? I started meditating on God, the healer, God who can rebuild, God who made the body in the first place. And let me tell you something, because the funny thing is, when this diagnosis was made, I was a pediatric resident and I was working in the neonatal ICU. Like I was in the exact same place where people who would have conditions like hers would show up. So, guess what I did? I never read anything about congenital diaphragmatic hernia again until after I had her. Why? Because I was like, that's not the knowledge I need right now. I need the knowledge that will help me come out of this battle victorious, right? I knew I was like, nah, that's not gonna help my faith. And I don't need to know it. I'm not her doctor, I'm her mother, right? So the doctors can do what they need to do, I'm gonna do what I need to do, and God's gonna do what he's gonna do. And to the glory of God's name, you know, that child is gonna turn 18 next month, right? And you know, she had surgery the day she was born. They didn't think she'll survive it. Uh, she survived it. They were like, you don't have to come up for follow-ups because we're done with you. Um, and she has no consequences, no long-term um consequences from that. It's all praise to God, right? Okay, so what do you're doing? You're sitting on that, you're meditating on that. The name, the name of God, Jehovah Rapha. Okay, okay, let's look at another name. Let's look at another name. Um, I love this, Jehovah Ra. And I think some also have Jehovah Rohi, which is God my shepherd. God, my shepherd. Okay, so Psalm 23, um, verse one, very popular scripture. I'm just reading it because I have this habit of you know looking into the scriptures. Okay, it says, The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. Some translations say, The Lord is my shepherd, I have all I need. The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing, right? Okay, so you stop. Like, do we know this? Most of us know this verse, but but it's not about that, it's about knowing it, it's about getting revelation of it, it's about meditating on it to it becomes your subconscious reality. So the Lord is my shepherd. The Lord is my shepherd. The Lord, what does a shepherd do? The shepherd protects the sheep. What does the shepherd do? The shepherd guides the sheep. What does the shepherd do? The shepherd leads the sheep to sustenance, whether that's water, whether that's um that's food, right? Okay, that's what the shepherd does. Now, of all things God could have been named, one of those things is shepherd. What does that mean? God protects me now. Hang on, God is the most powerful. So if he protects me, who has access to me? Nobody, except he lets them through. Nobody. Okay, so who can come hurt me? Nobody who's powerful enough to pull me out of the hand of my shepherd. Nobody. Okay, then he's my guide. Hello. If I mean they're different kinds of guides, think about if you are traveling, it could be a map you get from the gas station, right? And you're like, we're here, so you draw a line, we could go here, we can go here. That's one level of a map. Of a guide. Well, you could have maybe not a map, but a little upgrade away actually gives you directions from where you, but it's a static piece of paper. Like, you know, follow this and you get to where you're going. The problem is if you miss a turn, you're out of luck, right? Okay, so you can have that. You can have a static, like almost think of it like a static GPS, right? Okay, you can have another set type of guide where you have a GPS that's an interactive GPS. You put in the addresses, like make a left turn here, do this, do that. They're all different levels. In the same way in life, they're all different levels of guides. But the the the best of the best guide, the most sophisticated guide, the guy that can give you the shortest path to the biggest outcome. And all of that is God. And guess who he is? My guide. What? That's who he is. God is my guide. He's my shepherd, so he protects me, he guides me, and then he leads me to everything I need I shall not want. He leads me to a life of abundance where everything I need, he leads me to. He leads me to. He leads me to the connections, he leads me to the job, it leads me to the business, leads me to the strategy, he leads me to um uh to be in the right room, to be in the right place at the right time, he orders my footsteps, all of these things. Problems, your challenges already seem smaller just by you paying attention to the names of God. He's my Rafa, He's my Rohi. Right? He leads me, He protects me, He guides me, He keeps me. That's who He does. He comforts me, He disciplines me. And I'm trying to be that sheep, trying to go get eaten by a wolf by going on my own. He's like, come back here, girl. Right? Okay. So Jehovah Rafa, Jehovah, Jehovah Rohi. Let's look at one more. Let's look at one more. Jehovah Sabbath or Yahweh Sabbath, right? And that means the Lord of hosts. Now, wait a thing. The Lord of hosts. A lot of times we don't even know what that means. Okay, guys, if you hear something in worship, in prayer, as the Bible is being read, all that stuff, and you do not know what it is, find out what it is. The Lord of hosts is talking about the Lord of heaven's armies. Your God is the commander in chief of heaven's and all armies that are there, actually, but let's say heaven's armies. Okay. Let me read this scripture. Because I want you to show, like, we think, oh, Goliath was so big. Let me show you why Goliath was so small for David. Okay. So 1 Samuel chapter 17. 1 Samuel chapter 17. And I'm gonna read verse 45 because David have a had a different viewpoint. He had a different one. Okay, so 1 Samuel 17, 45. This is what he said. Then David said to the Philistine, to Goliath, You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. Now I want to put this in context. This this is what people will call a problem. First of all, Goliath is so much bigger than David. So first disadvantage, Goliath is bigger than David. David is small. Second of all, he had a sword. Guess who didn't have a sword? David. He had a spear. Guess who didn't have a spear? David. He had a javelin. Guess who didn't have a javelin? David. And not only did he not have these three things, Goliath was big. Like, let me show you this, right? In describing his spear, the Bible says that his spear. Let me let me let me pull it up here.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Verse 7. Did I read verse 7?

SPEAKER_00

Hold on. Okay, no, let me just hang on. I'll give it to you. From verse 5. Goliath, he had a bronze helmet on his head and was armed with a coat of mail, and the weight of his coat was 5,000 shekels of bronze. And that is 120 to 125 pounds. It was almost the weight of David. Just his coat. And he had his coat of mail. And he had a bronze armor on his legs and a bronze javelin between his shoulders. Now the staff of his spear, the staff of his spear was like a weaver's beam and his iron spearhead. So we're not talking about the spear, we're talking about the spearhead. The spearhead weighed 600 shekels. That's 15 pounds. That was the weight of this tip of his spear. So not only was he bigger than David, but he also had a sword, a spear, a javelin that were big, they were world class. So David was so disadvantaged. Okay, so air quotes disadvantaged. But I want you to see, I want you to see David's viewpoints. So from today, you'll read this differently. It says that David said to the Philistine, You come to me with a sword, with a spear, with a javelin. But and so you think I'm disadvantaged, but I come to you in the name, he didn't say in the name of God. He said, I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts. You're looking at me and you think I'm disadvantaged. The only problem with that is I'm not coming in my name. I come in the name of the Lord of hosts. The God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. When you get up and you're facing your day and you're going around accomplishing your goals that God set with you and all of this, I want you to identify as somebody coming in the name of the Lord. Right? And if you're the you know the God of wisdom, right? Who by his wisdom created the heavens and the earth, I come in his name. You're a student, I come in his name, right? Entrepreneur, I come in his name. A mother, I come in his name, right? You're like, I come in his name. So David didn't have any disadvantage. Because if he was coming by himself, yeah, he's smaller than David, he's smaller than Goliath, and he doesn't have a spear, and he doesn't have a javelin, and he doesn't have a sword. But he wasn't coming in his name, he was coming in the name of the Lord of hosts. Who is this Lord of hosts? The Lord of heaven's armies, the Lord of Heaven's armies. Now, let me show you something. This is gonna blow your mind. Blow your mind. I don't even know how we're gonna get to all three things. We're still in the name of God. Now, you may say, you know, you may think about it like how many people, when you think about the U.S. army, you're like, this many people in the army. You think about, you know, whichever country, like these are how many people they have in the army. Well, how many people God got in his army? He's the Lord of heaven's hosts. Okay, but let me show you. Let me show you something. Hebrews chapter 12, verse 22. Hebrews chapter 12, verse 22. I want to show you something here. I pray you never forget this. Our problems are not big. The problem is we've made God too little in our eyes, but we're fixing that now in Jesus' name. Okay, Hebrews 12, 22. It says, Um, but you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels. What does innumerable mean? We can't count them. The army that your God leads is so many people, so many angels. They can't be counted, and when you come in his name, you have the angelic backing at your disposal. What? What problem? Who they be? Okay, so who is our God? Our God is our personal physician. Who is our God, the shepherd who leads us and guides us and protects us? Who is our God, the mighty man of war, the Lord of hosts, the Lord of heaven's armies? That's who our God is. And guys, there are over a hundred names of God. We've only looked at three. We've only looked at three. So you look for the name of God that represents the side of God you need in manifestation for your problem to not be a problem. And so if it's sickness, right, it's like Jehovah Rafah. If there is a battle, is Jehovah's Sabbath or Yahweh's Sabbath, right? If you need direction, is the Lord my shepherd. Do you guys see that? Hey, so the name of God, the names of God we meditate on, we speak, we declare, we visualize so that we can put God in proper perspective and our problems in proper perspective. Okay? So number one is his names. Number one, what do we meditate on, visualize, speak, all of those things to put God in his proper perspective and our problems in their it, bidding proper perspective, right? Okay, let's look at the second thing. What's the second thing? His descriptions, his descriptions, right? And the thing about his descriptions is that um David was so good at doing this. If you read through the book of Psalms, you'll see all these descriptions. And you can create your own descriptions, right, that are based on the word of God, based on your walk with God and all of that, but we're gonna take some from the Bible, okay? Now we recently did this in a Bible study on Horizon Shine. If you're not aware, Arise and Shine is a Bible study we do Bible study, it's a prayer meeting we do every morning at 6 a.m. Eastern, will completely rock your world. Okay, if you're not part of His and Shine, come join us. Those of you who are a part of, let the others know why they should come join us, okay? So DC Georgia.org forward slash prayer. But we looked at Proverbs, uh, we looked at Psalm 46, and I want to I want to read some, maybe just two verses actually from there. And I want you to see the descriptions of God, okay. So Psalm 46, this is what it says. Um, verse one God is our refuge. Hold up. God is our refuge. What does that mean? When crisis show up, there is a safe place you can go hide in. It is called a refuge. Now, who is my refuge? God. So when the battles of life show up, guess what? I'm not alone, I'm not stranded, I'm not, I'm not someone the enemy can just come and pick on. I run, run full speed ahead. Where? To my refuge. Who is my refuge? God. He is my refuge, he's my hiding place. When life gets tough, that's where I go to hide. When enemies show up, that's where I go to hide. That I go to hide. When crisis shows up, where do I go? I go to hide in my hiding place, God. God, my refuge. Right? So think about so some problem comes up, and it's like, oh my goodness, I can't have it. Run, run to your refuge. How do you run to your refuge? By saying it, God, you are my refuge. You are my hiding place. You are my strong tower. You're the place I come to in a time of crisis. Then you come swing it at Psalm 91. They that dwell in the secret place of the Most High. What is that? A hiding place, a secret place, right? Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty, Lord. I come to you. I come to your secret place. I come and I hide there under the shadow of the Almighty. Who's gonna come get you out of the hand of God? Who is so powerful that they could come get you out of the hand of God? Nobody. God is my refuge. One verse, one one part of one verse. Okay. It says, God is my strength. Uh hold up. God is my strength. God is a source of my power and might and boldness. So, what you what that means is if something shows up and it's too powerful for you, it's not a problem because you have access to more power. Your power generator is God, so you can hook up to the gen. If I run out of might or something comes and it is mightier than me, I can hook up to my might. Who's my might? God. If I don't have boldness to go after something, guess what? I can do I can hook up to the source of more boldness.

SPEAKER_01

Who is that? God, God, my strength. My strength.

SPEAKER_00

So you run out of strength? Not a problem. See, when I worked in the ICUs, ICUs for kids, for newborns, a number of the kids were on ventilators. And so they couldn't breathe on their own and they had machines breathing for them. And when I trained, I trained in New Jersey. And could there be a power outage because of a very bad snowstorm and all of that? Yes. Do they wait for the power outage to start figuring out what do we do? No. They have standby generators. And the second the power goes out, the standby generator kicks in. Immediately it kicks in. Why? These people can't breathe on their own. So we're helping them breathe. And so we can't run out. God is your standby generator. You face a problem too powerful for you? No problem. Why? You have access to more power, more might, more boldness. You just need to hook up with the generator. How do you hook up with the generator? First of all, having faith that there is a generator. By prayer, by saying it out of your mouth, by declaring it. You look at David all through the battle with Goliath. He kept talking, I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of heaven's armies who you've defied. I come against you in the name of the Lord. He kept declaring, he kept declaring, that's what we do too. We turn on the gen, we turn on the generator. God told the children of Israel, He says, You have defeated these nations, five nations, more powerful and mightier than you. Why? Because God was their power, their strength, their might, their boldness. So God's descriptions, my refuge, my strength. Okay. We are still in the first half of verse one. Okay. Let's keep going. Psalm 46, verse 1. God is my refuge and strength. He is my refuge and my strength. You have to use your words. You have to say it. You have to say it. You have to say it. You have to believe it. You have to visualize. You have to imagine it. You have to believe it. We do all of these things with our problems. That's why they seem so big. Now we're going to shrink that and we're going to do this with God so He can be as big as He truly is, in our view, in our lives. God is my refuge and my strength. Okay. The next part of the verse says, a very present help in times of trouble. Hold up. So when trouble is present, guess who is very present? The problem is present, God is very present. And not just God, but God my helper. The God and his willingness to help me, very present. Every time trouble is present. But a lot of times we're so focused on the trouble that we completely miss. That God is right there and he's very present and he's there to help. God is my very present help in times of trouble. So what does that mean to me? It means when trouble is present, God is very present. In fact, when I looked up the meaning of these words from the original text, it says abundantly or exceedingly available. Like he's not so busy, he's not like you asked me for things before. Excessively available to help me.

SPEAKER_01

Right? And what does it mean to help? To support, to aid, to support, to aid. God is abundantly available to support me. To help me. To aid me. Abundantly.

SPEAKER_00

Right? So I'm going to think of just verse one. God is my refuge. God is my strength. God is my very present help. Oh my goodness. What if we meditated on this, said this out loud, meditated on this, visualized it, looked in our lives in the past where God has shown up this way and all of that and focused on that instead of saying, Oh my goodness, will it work? Will it not work? Oh my goodness, are we gonna get out of this? God, why are you doing this to us? Like, no, we don't do that anymore. We don't do that anymore. Okay. God is my refuge, God is my strength, God is my very present help in times of trouble. The descriptions of God. Now, these are only three descriptions. There are so many. There are so many all over the place, all over the place, right? And we like He's my deliverer, right? He's my strong tower, He's the fortress I hide in, right? He's my shield. If God is your shield, who is gonna penetrate that shield to get to us? God is my shield, He's my defense. Yeah, the descriptions of God. What are we looking at? How do I make my view of God so big that the problems become like right? So, number one, the names of God, number two, the descriptions of God, number three, the stories of God. The stories of God. We are not the first people to follow God, and God did not just show up in the in the year 2000. God has been God before time began. He has been God since before time began. And so we can go look like what is the history of God? Now, I want to do something, right? Like, let's let's let me show you how I would do this. All right. So this is us meditating on stories, especially stories we know. Like you can take a walk and take a story, you know, and just go through it. You're like, wait, what? Okay. Now, let's look at Genesis chapter one. Every almost everybody knows Genesis chapter one, right? So Genesis chapter one. Hmm. In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Interesting. God is a creator, God is a creator. So here I am trying to create a family, but God is a master at creating things. With his wisdom, what kind of family could I build? Here I am trying to create a ministry. Wow. If I got out of thinking about all the problems, all that, and I leaned on him and I leaned on his wisdom. What could I create? Oh, I'm creating a business, wow. I'm creating a career, wow. I'm creating, I'm recreating my body, right? Like I'm focusing on my health. God is a creator, he made me in his image. So I'm a creator. Remember? If we don't know God, we don't know who we are. So so so wow. So he can create. And that if there are things that are broken, he can he can recreate them because he's a creator. Interesting. Hmm. And he didn't just create anything. Let's take a look at the kinds of things that God created. Um, so he created the the firmament, is what it's called. So the skies and all of that. And you stop and you walk outside and you look and you're like, wait, those clouds, I know I've always seen them. I'm just like, they just are. They're not, they're not just there. He made them like he made that. You look at the sky, you're like, hang on, he made that. You look at the cloud and the formations and the different colors during the sunrise and all that. Your God made that. Wow. Okay, he made the firmament. That's interesting. Then he says, Oh, you know, let's separate the waters and all of that stuff. So hang on. The oceans, he made that. The bluish green work waters of the Bahamas, he made that. Right? He he made like I want you to understand, like, God is so there's something. Uh uh, Denise, I know you're from Chicago. So you you get a kick out of this because my pastor, my husband, always says, you know, God is not your uncle in Chicago. He's trying to say, like, God is not a man. Do you see what? Like, he made that. The ocean, he made that, he got many of them. He made that. Interesting. Interesting. The trees, you look at it, we enjoy nature. In fact, like um, you know, usually during the fall, um, you know, we would usually go to do what. Like I call them fall festivals, they're not festivals, but we're literally looking at the beauty of the fall where you have all the leaves, and they're I mean, they're not green anymore, they're yellow and orange and red and this and is the most beautiful sight. And I remember the first day I was thinking, I said, wait a minute, what does the fall really represent? These leaves are about to fall down and die. This is a process of death. But even a process like this, God made it look so beautiful on its way out, so much so that we pay money to go watch all these things. Like we will usually go to Asheville, we go to the Biltmore estates and stuff like that. The drive down there is like it's so gorgeous. You can't capture it with any camera. Just looking like, oh my goodness, that's your God. And then you think you can't find a creative solution for a problem? Like, are you kidding? He right, you're building something and you think it's subpar. Guys, you have access to the God of the entire universe. For those of you who are physicians, I know a number of you are on here. He made the human body. You know how complicated it is. It took you a decade to learn one part of it. Like I'm a pediatrician, right? I do kids, like the other stuff. I'm like, don't know. He made that his stories. His stories. You go to 2 Chronicles 20, and God says, Oh, be still this battle. You will not need to fight this battle. Oh, watch and see. And there were three nations that came against Israel. Three nations. And they were mighty nations. The Bible talks about them being a multitude. The king was afraid. God said, Nah, this particular battle, I got this. And how God did it is the three two nations fought one nation, killed that nation. Then the two nations started fighting each other and they killed themselves, and that was it. That's the God you serve. Jesus saw a widow who had a son, and the son had died and was her only child. And Jesus went and Jesus raised that child from the dead. I want you to think about the last time you know somebody that died. God is that powerful. These are the stories of God. Right? So when you look at the names of God, you look at the descriptions of God, you look at the stories of God, and you look at your problem. It's nothing for God. You see that problem, the challenge, the obstacle, all of that. It's nothing for God. It's nothing for God. And you must remember you go in his name. He didn't call us to do this life by ourselves. We're with him. We're with him. So it's nothing for God. It's nothing for God. It's nothing for God. We must understand this. We must put problems in their proper in proper place, and we must exalt God in our lives, in our minds, in our thinking, in our imagination to his proper place. Our God is mighty. And he's here to deliver us. And now the more you know this, the more you know you. You are made in his image and his likeness, which means if he's a creator, you're a creator. So when you hear someone say, Oh, I'm not a creative person, they're lying. If they're saved, they're lying. It's a bold-faced lie. You are creative. The very first thing the Bible says ever about God is that he's a creator. You are creative. If there's nothing too big, no challenge too big for God, there's no challenge too big for you. Not because of you, but because of who is with you. Because of who is with you. We must know who we are. So I'm a person who has access to strength. I'm a person who has access to wisdom. I'm a person who has access to favor. I'm a person who is creative. I'm a person who cannot run out of answers. Why? Because you are connected to the God of all wisdom. It is nothing for God. It is nothing for God. It is time for us to take our eyes off the challenges and off the problems and put our eyes on God and put our eyes on the God who is on the inside of us. The Bible says we are temples of the Holy Spirit. So it's like, oh, I'm looking for God. No, no, no, no. Temples of the Holy Spirit. Temples of the Holy Spirit. You are not ordinary, my friend. That also means for you, it's time to raise your expectation. Okay, so in one of my companies, I have the entree MD business school, which is a business school for physicians. We help them build six, seven, and eight-figure businesses. And God has started talking to me. He's like, That's I called you to do that. Which means I want you to build it to the kingdom standard, not the world standard. Somebody ought to come into your program and say, My goodness, they ought to come in and say, This is a sign and a wonder. Why? You're building according to heaven's blueprint and heaven's standard, not the world standard. And I want us, and so I start adopting that as a way of thinking. I want you to adopt this as a way of thinking. If I'm building my family by God's standard, because I have access to his wisdom, I have access to his power, I have access to all his resources, then what do I build it to look like? I do my job. If I'm doing it based on the kingdom standard, how will I show up to work? What kind of results will I get? If I'm running my marriage by kingdom standard, what would that look like? Every aspect of our life should look like a sign and wonder because we're in partnership with the God whose default setting on production is sign and wonder. Default setting. Default setting. Now, you may not get it to from now to heaven in two seconds, but you can start turning and facing that direction right now. Right now, if I was doing this by kingdom standards, would I talk this way? Would I act this way? Would I think this way? Would I treat that person this way? How would I do it if I'm aiming for kingdom standard? How would I do it? How would I approach it? You're not ordinary, my friend. You're not ordinary. Reject it. So we are not called to be subject to problems. We are called to be subject to our king, to be elevated by our king, to be guided by our king, to be upheld by our king. So it's time to let go of constantly meditating and being overwhelmed with problems and start looking to the God, our helper. You're like, Lord, you're my helper. If God is your helper, how would you show up today? What would you do today? What would you believe for today? Who would you collaborate with today? If God is your helper, if God is your helper, if God is your wisdom, you say, Oh Lord, this looks like a challenge, but I'm gonna wait on you. What is the wisdom? How do I navigate out of these things? And we're focused on God. Can you imagine spending our entire lives meditating and brooding on problems? When we can meditate on brood on God who makes every problem a non-problem? It's time, folks. Oh my goodness, it is time. It is time. It is time to arise and shine. I think I need to read that scripture in the I need to read that scripture for you from the translation. Oh, oh, thank you, Jesus. This is so good. Thank you, Lord, for what you are doing in our lives. Thank you. Thank you. We're grateful. So let me read this. I want you to receive this as a prophetic word to yourself, a prophetic word from the Lord to you. Okay? Well, hold on. I want to pull it up in the specific translation I need to read it from. This is God's word to you. So pay close attention to it. Isaiah chapter 60, verse 1. And I'm gonna read it from the Amplified Classic Translation. And if you receive the word, once I'm done reading it, I want you to type in the chat, receive the word. So wait for me to read it. The Bible says, Arise from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you. We have focused for too long on the circumstances. Now it is time to arise. Arise from the depression and prostration. That means you lying down. Arise from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you. Rise to a new life. From today, a new life, kingdom standard, new life, new life. Every circumstance, I'm coming out of it, every circumstance, I'm walking away from it, every circumstance, I'm pulling on the wisdom, the favor, the power, the grace, the help of God to walk away from. Be radiant with the glory of the Lord. For your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. Arise, my brothers, my sisters, from the depression and the prostration in which circumstances have kept you. Arise, get up, stand up, get up, get up, get up, arise, rise to a new life, shine, be radiant with the glory of the Lord. For your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. It's time. It is time, it is time. Enough rolling over and playing dead. Enough making excuses for it. It is time to activate our God, our shepherd, our refuge, our strength, our helper, our Rafa, our sabbath, our move, arise, shine. Enough. Enough. Enough of the stories. Enough of tolerating it. Enough of making excuses for it. Enough of treating it like it's a pet in our home, like it's one of our children. Enough. Arise. It's time to rise. It's time to rise. The biggest thank you you will give God for this session today is walking away from being overwhelmed by any circumstance, being subdued by any circumstance, walking away from that and arising, arising as the person who God is their refuge, and God is their strength, and God is their deliverer, and God is their standby, and God is their very present help. You arise and you take that place. You shine. You cannot overhaul your entire life in 24 hours, but you can change your direction and start heading there right now. Right now. And if you do, everything will change for you. Everything will change for you. Everything will change for you. I am rooting for you, rooting for you every single day. This is truly the least you will ever be. Because from here it is up and up and up and up and up. God bless you, love you. I'll see you in the inner circle. I'll see you on the rise and shine. I'll see you everywhere. Because we're going to do this together. We are going to rock this one beautiful life God has given us. God bless you. I'll see you in the inner circle. If this has helped you in any way, I would love for you to join the movement and share this episode with your friends, family, and the Christians in your world. By doing this simple thing, you could be changing the trajectory of someone's lives, their family, and their community. That makes you a world changer and they will love you forever.
