3-21 No Kiddin’ began with one woman’s journey away from a bet—and has grown into an ongoing conversation about addiction, sobriety, recovery, self-care, wellness, and what it really takes to build a better life.
Creator and host Bobbie Malatesta began sharing her experience with gambling addiction and gambling recovery after placing her last bet on March 21, 2016. As her own journey evolved—including becoming alcohol-free—the podcast evolved with her.
Today, Bobbie explores problem gambling, alcohol addiction, substance use, behavioral addictions, sober living, mental and emotional wellness, personal growth, and alternative recovery modalities. Guests include people sharing their own lived experiences in recovery as well as professionals, experts, advocates, and practitioners offering different tools and perspectives for healing and healthier living.
There is no one-size-fits-all path to recovery. That's kind of the point.
Through honest conversations, personal stories, education, humor, mistakes, lessons learned, and a willingness to explore different approaches, 3-21 No Kiddin’ is about finding what works for you—whether you're in recovery, sober-curious, supporting someone you love, or simply trying to become a healthier, happier human.
What started as a podcast and personal mission has continued to ripple outward. 3-21 No Kiddin’ is now also a Recovery Playground and sober social club in Naugatuck, Connecticut, creating an alcohol-free, gambling-free adult space for connection, functional and non-alcoholic beverages, events, education, and community.

Today, I'm fearlessly taking my stand on a very important issue to me!
I firmly believe that addiction, gambling, drugs, sex, or any of the many others is an urgent matter that requires our immediate attention!!!
It's time to take a stand and make a difference.
To me, addiction, or compulsive use disorders,( for my professional crowd), is more than just an issue; it's a matter of life and death and the future of our entire world.
It's time to challenge the status quo and work towards meaningful change.
The best part is the secret to living our best lives beyond addiction.
CHOICES!!! COMMUNITY!!! CONNECTION!!!
3-21 No Kiddin will be a safe stigma free place for both people in recovery and the public who just want to take advantage of PLAY and FUN!!
The means to gamble is changing! You can do it from any and everywhere!
The means to drink is increasing!- You can have it delivered to your home
The means to smoke weed is getting easier! Most states or neighboring are making it accessible.
It can’t be just about avoiding TRIGGERS anymore- they are too abundant! They are everywhere!
It’s time to HEAL! It’s time for non traditional offers to a community of people struggling and not understanding they don’t have to live like that! They deserve BETTER! They deserve to BE ALIVE TO LIVE!!! ♥️
I am participating in a fearless challenge where I share myself completely and the critic voice in my head wants to make this shorter…. Keep the dream of recovery playgrounds to myself to avoid opinions that aren’t in alignment..
I am pushing through! It has been made clear to me that I am the messenger for this awareness. My role is to share what is available, be a loud voice advocating for the change!
