I was a"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":367.02,"endTime":369.96,"body":"performing arts major in"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":367.02,"endTime":369.96,"body":"college, although I spent more"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":369.96,"endTime":375.03,"body":"of my time backstage directing"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":369.96,"endTime":375.03,"body":"than I did on stage acting as a"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":375.03,"endTime":380.01,"body":"stage manager. We often"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":390.63,"endTime":397.74,"body":"earned an MBA and after 11 years"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":390.63,"endTime":397.74,"body":"in DC, working in marketing for"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":397.77,"endTime":400.89,"body":"a national trade association,"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":397.77,"endTime":400.89,"body":"decided it was time to look for"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":400.89,"endTime":403.71,"body":"the next big adventure in my"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":400.89,"endTime":403.71,"body":"life. So 10 years ago,"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":408.66,"endTime":414.15,"body":"on July 30 2011, I got up on"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":408.66,"endTime":414.15,"body":"Saturday morning without"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":414.39,"endTime":417.24,"body":"literally a patch of dirt"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":414.39,"endTime":417.24,"body":"without a tent, which is not a"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":417.24,"endTime":420.57,"body":"great idea in DC in late July,"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":417.24,"endTime":420.57,"body":"and gave my first cooking"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":420.57,"endTime":423.24,"body":"demonstration in front of a live"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":420.57,"endTime":423.24,"body":"audience. And I lived Near"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":436.8,"endTime":440.01,"body":"Eastern Market DC at the time."},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":440.22,"endTime":444.63,"body":"And I think probably from my"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":440.22,"endTime":444.63,"body":"retail background thought if"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":444.63,"endTime":447.66,"body":"people knew what this food was"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":444.63,"endTime":447.66,"body":"and why it was so special, and"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":447.66,"endTime":451.05,"body":"what to do with it, they bring"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":447.66,"endTime":451.05,"body":"more home and have more fun. And"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":451.05,"endTime":456.54,"body":"so I went to the market. And I"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":451.05,"endTime":456.54,"body":"can go into a backstory on that."},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":456.54,"endTime":461.67,"body":"But after a couple months said"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":456.54,"endTime":461.67,"body":"yes. And they didn't have a chef"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":461.67,"endTime":464.85,"body":"at market program. Most markets"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":461.67,"endTime":464.85,"body":"that I've worked with, do they"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":464.85,"endTime":468.03,"body":"have the whole thing set up and"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":464.85,"endTime":468.03,"body":"you just go in they have all the"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":468.03,"endTime":470.82,"body":"relationships with the vendors."},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":468.03,"endTime":470.82,"body":"Well, Eastern Market didn't. So"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":471.15,"endTime":473.79,"body":"then I started go vendor by"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":471.15,"endTime":473.79,"body":"vendor with the markets who I"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":473.79,"endTime":477.12,"body":"shopped with on the weekend, and"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":473.79,"endTime":477.12,"body":"said, What do you think about"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":477.12,"endTime":479.64,"body":"giving me a couple tomatoes next"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":477.12,"endTime":479.64,"body":"Saturday? Would would you give"},{"speaker":"Unknown","startTime":479.64,"endTime":483.18,"body":"me those three cucumbers.
