Have you ever found yourself overwhelmed, needing stillness and clarity? Discover how a purposeful pause can align you with divine purpose, as I, your host Lyvita Brooks, share my personal journey on why I'm taking a sabbatical in this episode of Hanging Out with Jesus Podcast.

We engage in a reflective discourse on the importance of listening to God's voice, particularly in times of transition, and how this intentional quiet time can lead to rejuvenation and a fresh perspective on life.

Even as I embark on this sabbatical, this podcast will remain a source of spiritual nourishment. So, stay tune, subscribe, and join our free bi-monthly newsletter for additional resources including the rebranding of our website in March. And for your newbies, welcome. This is Episode 90. So come walk with me where we intentionally and daily hang out with Jesus. Thanks.

Lyvita:

This is normally the time of year that I share with you. To get yourself together for the upcoming year Is that time where you look in the past to see what goals you completed and celebrate yes, celebrate and then look to the future to see what it is that you still need to accomplish in order to be where God has given you that vision of where you to be. But you're doing all of this, looking through it and hanging out with Jesus as you're doing it. Whenever you plan your upcoming year or any meeting that you have, it should be with the Lord. That's a given. That should be a given. Well, saint, I had the opportunity to spend time with the Lord, and one of the things I'm clear on is that I need a sabbatical. I need to take some time to spend time rebranding, hanging out with Jesus' podcast and the Me Project Academy. There's some things that the Lord wants me to do with these two tools, and there's another tool that he's bringing up in my spirit that I need time to explore. So I'm going to take that time. So You're going to be hearing a couple of episodes from the past which I believe the Lord is leading me to to share with you. So don't stop listening to the podcast. I'm coming back full force, but what I do, it's either going to be February or March. We'll see when we get there.

Lyvita:

But when I return, I have more clarity. You see, saints, we can keep going and going and going and doing, and doing and doing, but if we don't take that time with the Lord, we could be going and going and doing, and doing in the wrong direction. So when you have come to a place in your life where there seems to be a whole lot of transitioning going on, stop, just stop. Organize your schedule so that you can spend more time with the Lord. If that means eliminating going places that you normally go, which fill up your time, if that means that scrolling through on your phone or on your computer, stop.

Lyvita:

God has something to say to you. When you are coming out of when you're coming out of, when you are immersed in changes and unfamiliar waters in your life and grapes are being tossed at you and just just seems like stuff is just out of whack, stop, rearrange that schedule so you can spend time with the Lord and you sit down with the Lord with pen and pad and Bible and you say Lord, I'm here, I'm listening, and it doesn't matter where you begin in the Bible, just, just, just flip it open. Sorry, I got excited, I'm sorry. Just flip it open, or or start where your devotional stops. But whatever you do, just stop, Get that Bible, pen and pen and you sit still before the Lord. Because, saints, I've done it before and I'm going to do it again.

Lyvita:

It's those times that God speaks so clearly, because my only expectation is to hear from him, just to hear from him. He's already heard my concerns, my illness, my hurts, my pains, my confusions. He's already heard it. So now you need to sit and listen, just listen, just listen, and I'm telling you you will be amazed at the things he has to share. So, saints, y'all take care and keep listening to the podcast and just continue to seek God's face, because in him remember you're hidden, in Christ, so in him you find you, you find just who you are and just how powerful your God is. So let's pray. Thank you, lord, for all you do, for all you have done and for all you shall do for us in the future. Thank you for our Lord and Savior, jesus Christ, who gave his life freely on the cross for us, who died and was buried, got the keys from Hades and Hale and rose again on the third day. He is now seen at the right hand view making intercessions for us.

Lyvita:

Lord, we know, with all the wars and the rumors of wars and all the confusion and all the things that are happening in this world today, we can imagine Jesus lacing up his sandals, getting ready to come get us. We are not to fear because we're in Christ. No matter the challenge, no matter what comes our way or what crosses our mind, we are to stand and, having done all, to stand some more in Christ Jesus, knowing that our beginning and ending is with you. Rather we're six feet above the ground or we're in the arms of Jesus. We are with you. Our lives are hidden in Christ. Thank you that we have a hope that goes beyond the tragedies of this world. And thank you, lord, for blessing us to be in your presence, to spend time with you, learning more about you, seeking your face, fixing our eyes on you.

Lyvita:

Thank you, lord, because, just as that song says, fear is not our future, sickness is not our story, broken heart is not our home and death is not our ending. You are our future, you are our story, you are home and you we will live with forever. Thank you, lord. Continue, dear Lord, god, to spark within us the flame to be hears and doers of your word. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen and amen. Thanks for listening. If you enjoyed this episode, then please consider subscribing to the podcast rating and reviewing it.
