Hi, welcome to the Vine Life Church podcast. We're in Boulder, Colorado, and we're following Jesus by staying rooted in his presence, growing in his family, and living on his mission so that hearts are awakened with his awe-inspiring love. And if we can help you in any way, reach out to us at VineLife.com. For now, here's a short sermon from last week in Avine Life. Again, thanks for joining us. So we want to give some space this morning for our students who were at the standard this weekend. Again, if you're coming in today and you don't know what that's about, we just sent a bunch of our students and some friends of our students down to Denver for three days for an event called The Standard. And the whole idea was just uh after a season of isolation, a season where uh uh where even like mental health and suicide in our state has been skyrocketing. Uh we just knew uh that it was time to gather the youth and and cast a new vision, just remind them of what is possible in Jesus, what it looks like, that the standard is Jesus for our lives, and for for you guys to catch a new vision for what's possible in Christ. Um and so we're gonna take a few few moments today to let them share, if that's okay. Is that okay with you guys? Okay. Um is really important for us today, even before we share some testimonies, is this. Um David, in Psalm 51, uh yeah, you guys you can keep just playing a little bit. In Psalm 51, David writes this very heart-rending psalm. It's on the heels of a giant moral failure, and he returns to the Lord and he's just rending his heart before the Lord and just confessing and receiving the mercy and grace of God. And about halfway through, he says this, he says, Cast me not from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit. And there's something inside of David that he came to this breaking point where there's a longing of God, I I can't be anywhere else but your presence. And not only that, but God, would you would you restore to me the joy of your salvation, the joy of that first moment, the moment I first knew that you loved me, the moment you first spoke to my heart, and the willingness that came with that, uphold me with the willing spirit. Let there be a willingness in me again, a joy of your salvation, and a willingness, and and I just have a sense this morning as we release some testimonies from our young people that there's some people in the room that you're you're here today. You need a refreshment of God, you need a renewal in your spirit of the joy of your salvation. You remember what it's like just across the room. I just want you for a moment to close your eyes. And many of you have a memory that comes to mind at the first moment the love of God grips your heart. The first moment you just knew, you knew, you knew, you knew that it was real. You knew it just went from your head to your heart. And maybe today that maybe you haven't had that experience, and and my prayer is that you have that today. My prayer that today, as you hear stories and the testimony of Jesus goes out, that his love is inescapable for you. But my prayer and our prayer together, I really believe that joy that God wants to restore the joy of his salvation again in this place. The joy of his salvation and a willing spirit. Do you remember when God first got a hold of your heart, how willing you were? How many of you are ready to sell everything and move to Uganda? Right? The further you would do anything. There was a willingness in your spirit because you caught something that you never knew was possible. God wants to restore that to you this morning. He wants to restore that to us. So I'm gonna start. I'm gonna have Gary come up. Maybe Gary, Gary, Emily, feel free to come up to you if you want. Um and uh just share a little bit. Then we'll have some students come up. And you guys, I want to brag on these guys. And if you don't know Gary and Emily, they're leading the charge with our youth, and they are that awesome. Um the students trust them, they're anointed, and uh, I cannot wait to see where God is leading us with their leadership in this ministry. Um, but I I I gotta brag on these guys, I gotta brag on Shannon Clark and Piper and the whole Vine Life team. Um, they over the weekend, so many from the Vine Life team were able to hold a space so beautifully, so excellently, so prayerfully that allowed uh so many students to come and meet Jesus. And and uh man, I I'm proud of our team. I gotta say, I know you're not supposed to be like full of pride, but I am super proud right now from our team and for these guys. So tell us a little bit about the weekend and uh yeah, kick off Gary.
SPEAKER_06Well, thanks, Luke. I I want to holler out a couple people too. And um first, just just give a shout out to all the parents and just thank you guys for what you're cultivating at home uh with your kids and our students. And um honestly, like thanks, thank you for doing that and and and giving them for this weekend because what you guys are cultivating at home, like you guys are the real rock stars, and we just get to come and have fun every now and then, uh, you know, a couple times a month. So thank you for what you're doing at home and the in the culture that you're cultivating in your house. Um we also just had an amazing uh just leadership team this weekend. We had um my sister come out from Texas, Lexi and her friends, Foddy and Francisco, um we had Talia uh and then um Tate and Trinity Ross as well. And they really just held that space and just kept that culture moving. And um a lot of what we get into is is in and why we do what we do is just the experiences that we had growing up uh in our own youth ministries and um my time when I was in college and I totally just walked away from the Lord. Um I anchored just some of my camp moments uh and moments that I had in worship as like a young teenager, um, and those times where God met me. And and I was going to like Baptist camp, so it was nothing like what we were at, but but the Lord still moves. Um and and some of those moments like like really gripped me as a young man when I walked away from the Lord and um and and and carried me into that next season when I returned. And so that's um that's part of the reason why we do what we do is because these love encounters and and these places where the Lord meets us and loves on us are are just so huge for for later in life when when we just need to look back and on the history and what the Lord's done. So um really like what we want to do is is is is we want our kids to our students to to form their own relationships with the Lord so that when they move out, they they can have something that they can build on and and and grow into their own men and women of God with their own relationships with the Lord and their own stories and their own history with God. And so the number one place they get that is at home with you guys, but also they they get to come to youth group and and and have their own experiences and fight for their own territory. So um that's something that that we're super just just just huge on. So our prayer is that our kids when when they go to these camps that they would just encounter the love of God and get to know God um and his love, and that would just just flourish in their relationship with him. So some of these stories, um Don't you switch? Yeah, check. Um some of these stories, you know, you know, it's it's funny because we contend for this place with our students, um, and when it happens, it's it's like our victory. Um it's almost like it happening to us. And and when when Haven and some of the other guys were sharing their testimonies this weekend, they're gonna share them now, it it really just cuts us. And it's like, oh man, that's like it's just like the same as our own encounter with the Lord. It's just like seeing them have their own love encounter with God. So um as you guys are a part of this house and um and and our our students are having that breakthrough, um, I want you to receive that breakthrough as your own uh and that love encounter as your own because this is something that we've all been contending for, is for our students to have this place with the Lord. So uh as they get up here and and share these things, uh I want you to like position yourself in a place where you can receive um what they've received and as they impart that. So it's super important. I I I was on the ground in tears yesterday for a couple hours just with the goodness of God under the love of the Lord, and uh just because of what he'd done in our students. So might be a couple wet and sloppy, snotty people around here today. So brace yourselves.
SPEAKER_08Um and just a little context to the format of the weekend. Uh so there were main sessions, of course, of worship and teaching. Um there's some really powerful sessions, but in the afternoons, there were some activation sessions where they would actually take the students out, you know, walk them out of the conference center, the Sheridan Hotel in downtown Denver, walk three blocks away to the Capitol building, and uh and there they had some DJs and they filled up a huge tank of water and they'd go out and invite people back, um, and they would share the gospel. And how many people got baptized, Gary? Do you know? It was about 20 people get got baptized on the state capitol. Some of them, some of them were rededicating their heart to the Lord, some of them it was the first time. Um our students were laid hands on the sick and actually saw people get well while we were there. And so things are break. So it wasn't just being holed up in a conference room for hours of worship, it was actually sending them out to do the things that we're talking about out on the street. And so I'm hoping we can hear some of those stories today.
SPEAKER_06Who who got baptized this weekend? One, two, and then I think we had three baptisms this four. So we have four baptisms this weekend. So yesterday, as as we're so we're we're we're praying for people and inviting them into this rally that we had on the state capitol, and like, so everybody's dancing, they're doing worship music, and these people got prayed for, came up, and they're getting healed and delivered and and saved up there, and then we had a like a horse trough for baptisms, and it just started like an absolute monsoon, like it's starting to sprinkle. I'm like, all right, guys, let's get going. And there's 40 of us up there, and they're they're like dancing and all over the place praying for people. I'm like, oh no, we're we're done. So within five minutes, it's just a pure monsoon, and everybody's jumping into the baptism tank. It is nothing like getting baptism, baptized when you're already soaking wet. So uh, but at least the water is warm in there.
SPEAKER_08So um, Emily, anything you want to share? Okay, okay. All right, who do you want to start with, Gary?
SPEAKER_06Haven. Do you want to get up here? All right, let's hear it for Haven Freeman. Haven Freeman, come on, bro.
SPEAKER_01So on Thursday was the first day of the standard, and I initially walked in there feeling a little sour. Now um I thought it was on Friday, so you know, did I pack everything? Um I still need to like pick my high school classes on all that. Sorry, I'm losing my voice. Worship last night was nuts. Um and then so when I walked in there, it's like it can't get any worse. I why not? So worship starts. It it initially began as going through the motions, like doing what people on stage said, and then eventually somebody on my left um got the crazies, and um it was contagious. So um I eventually found myself moving towards the front of the room, and um people began praying and prophesied over me. Now um I broke down, and that is not something I have done before. So I like my you guys have no idea, my sweater was so gross, I had so much thought and tears. Um and then more uh and more people began praying for me, and then eventually got to the point where I couldn't stand. My knees were and my legs were shaking so hard that um I collapsed. And uh it only got better from there. People continued praying and prophesied until eventually um I collected myself and returned to my sheet seat. And then uh this lady on stage, I think her name is Shannon, she's asked, Um, what's more the Lord? And uh my hand shot up so fast that uh it took me a second to realize that it happened. So after that, more people came and prayed for me, and I decided that um I wanted to dedicate my life to the Lord, and it was easily the best decision I've made.
SPEAKER_10Woo!
SPEAKER_01Alright, so um afterward, um I didn't know what to do with myself. Um I found myself after the session just walking around um thinking a lot, and then um I received a few words, and the more words I received, the more it became clear that I had a plan laid out for me. Now, when I first got them, each one it's like, oh that's nice, I'll remember that. But they all began relating to each other, and people were talking to me knew a suspicious amount about me. Like it was a little creepy. So, um I I'm still thinking about it, I'm still praying about whoa. I'm I'm still thinking about I'm still praying about it. But um, so like I said, I see all these words, I don't know what they mean. And the next day, we have another session, and people were talking a lot about how um, like, let it let it happen, you know, like let him love you. But every time I see them, um, I couldn't stop thinking about it, especially because one of them was a challenge of faith. The day after I was saved, so that's a little nerve-wracking, um, right off the bat. And uh they say let it happen, so I think about that all day. And then uh the last night um people uh began speaking in tongues, like a lot, and more and more people were collapsing, and um I well, I wasn't getting it. Like I really, really, really wanted it, but um it just didn't it didn't happen. So all these people began praying for me, and I broke down again. And then um later my hands like went really limp, stiff, and heavy. Um I couldn't move it. I don't know why. I'm still thinking about it.
SPEAKER_06Um I don't know, stay up here because we're gonna pray in a minute. So I I think um one thing that I I just wanted to say about Haven is um one of the things that we contend for is just to get into that place and worship where just the the love of God just overtakes us. And um I want I want Haven just to pray for that. And as we were processing, he's like, Man, I got these prophetic words and I was crying and I I didn't know why I was why was I crying, you know? And I was like, man, it's just sometimes when when the Lord speaks to you and and he cuts into your heart and your identity of who you are, it's like I can't help but it just breaks you down. Um and Haven is uh is still processing a lot, but I think one thing that I want him to pray is just um just give an impartation of some of that love that he received from the Lord this weekend. Um and I I think uh as you're processing that, I just want you to just pray and and just release that love that that you're carrying right now and that the Lord released to you. So um if if you're I just want you to just get in a position to receive. Um and again, like I said, like the Haven's vis victory is our victory here. Uh and his breakthrough is our breakthrough. And um I don't know about you, but I could always use a little bit more love. And there's not a lot of things better than the love of God, you know. So um Haven, will you just release that and pray that over us? Absolutely.
SPEAKER_01Okay. So dear God, I pray that you will touch more people in the same way that you touched me and show them that your plan exists and that they serve a purpose. Now, not everybody's not gonna know what that purpose is. I don't. And I pray that you make that clear as um some of us mature and uh learn more about you.
SPEAKER_06All right.
SPEAKER_02How y'all doing today? Well, um, before all of this I didn't really follow Jesus much. I mean, I didn't have a I had a relationship with him, but not a strong one. Um I didn't really read the Bible much and I prayed and prayed then and now, but um I didn't really follow him. But until I got to the standard in the first night I was like praying on the ground, and Olive came over to me and started praying for me, and she was like crying like crazy, and then I started crying like crazy, and she made everyone cry, and um and then I knew that God was really real that time, and after that I just had a relationship with him more, and I could feel the Holy Spirit in me. The second day kind of the same thing happened, but I cried a little more than last time, and the third day um we all kind of like we lined up and aligned our like on the edges of the auditorium, and we they prayed for us to like that we can get our tongues, and we I prayed for maybe 30 minutes, and I started feeling something, and I got my tongues, and the Holy Spirit was just in me, and I could just feel it, and it just felt so good. And yeah, and I really want to follow him more, and he's like the best thing that ever happened to me. And um we went to outreach, and that was a lot of fun, and I want to tell a story about that um when we were over there and we were all on the steps of the Capitol, there's this guy on the bottom of the steps, and he's in a wheelchair, and these other guys were starting to pray for him, and he kind of like couldn't walk, but then suddenly when they were praying, he got up and started walking up the stairs. And it was really cool, yeah. And yeah. So I'll
SPEAKER_08Hey, let's do this, Aaron. Let's do this. Do you want to pray? We should pray for the sick, huh? That's an awesome testimony. If there's anybody here that has any pain in their body, maybe even in their legs, have a hard time walking, or anything else, just around the room, just in a testimony, an atmosphere of faith. Um, as we just heard this story of a man getting up and walking, we just want to pray this morning. So if anybody is has anything going on in their body, just either pain, discomfort, something you're struggling with in your body that you need, you're asking the Lord for shielding. Just put your hand up in the air across the room. Okay. Okay. And we're gonna pray for these guys. If you're around somebody with their hand, just put your hand on your shoulder on their shoulder. We're gonna pray for them. Yeah, students, move around the room. Sick them. All right. Let's just release release that, Aaron.
SPEAKER_02Lord Jesus, we thank you for today, Lord. Thank you for everyone in this room that they have a purpose and that you love them and that you want you want to know them more. God, thank you for everyone here, and God, we ask that you'll heal everybody that needs prayer and needs healing, Lord Jesus. We pray for everyone that needs has pain and that it will just completely go away. In the name of Jesus, we declare total healing and restoration in every part. We love you, and we thank you. In the name of Jesus, amen.
SPEAKER_08Amen. Come on. All right, so if anybody uh raised your hand and you receive prayer, if you have a way of kind of testing that out, that would be awesome just to hear if you feel any differences. And if you do, we'd love to hear about that. Just to see, just to check in with each other. We believe that God wants to heal. So Gary.
unknownYeah, we're gonna. Teagan's up next.
SPEAKER_08Alright, Tegan, everybody, welcome. Teagan. Good morning.
SPEAKER_13Okay, so before I came to the standard, uh same uh same with Aaron. I never really followed God. I had a relationship, but not like a strong one, and I would like never read the Bible. But like I wouldn't do like I wasn't, I should say I wasn't like the most trustful person before. And once I came to the standard, um, I was like, I felt like a completely different person. Um the first night when we started the worship, I felt God touch me, and it like changed me. And I've never seen like all of us work like any like of us worship before, so this was like kind of new to me. But yesterday I was like filled with joy. Like really, I was so happy than I was ever before because yesterday I was one of the 20 kids or whatever that got baptized, and um, and I'm just like running to my mom. I just like called my mom and my dad and just telling them, and they were super happy, and then later that night I was sleeping, and then I had a dream about Jesus coming to me. He's like, do more. I was like, what do you mean, God? I thought I thought I was doing a lot. He's like, do better. Be better. And then I woke up and then I went back to sleep, and so yesterday also I was like playing catch and stuff, and I jumped, fell, and twisted my ankle, and some of the standard um kids right here came up to me and prayed, and then after my foot was like better, it was fully healed, it was all good, and I could just like run again and all of that. So I just want to thank you guys for healing and thank Jesus. Thank you.
SPEAKER_08Amen. Tegan, it's Christ in you, the hope of glory. That dream you had of Jesus, just remember, calling you into deeper into him. So it's his strength, it's his might, it's his power in you. That's why he's confidently calling you up into that, right? So be blessed with that. He's gonna give you all kinds of new strength, that happiness, and joy you feel. That is something he is giving to you.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, Tegan, why don't you come back up here? Um, so one of the things that it was really talked about, if you guys know Lou Ingle, he's he's just a massive intercession. And uh, I think Bill Johnson's called him one of like the most important people in our country just because of that place he holds with the Lord. Um, and there are a few people um who he directly called off stage and and prayed and prophesied over. Um, and so we're gonna get to that. But one thing he said is hey, he said, Hey, where some for some reason where I go, um, the Lord releases dreams too. Um, and dreams are one of the ways that God just communicates with us. And and sometimes we write off wild dreams as pizza dreams, you know, it's like, hey, I just ate a pepperoni pie last night. But um we don't want to write off the ways that God's speaking to us. Yeah, uh, and and I want Tegan to, as he's experiencing dreams, I want him to just pray dreams, just releasing dreams in Jesus' name. So um, if you're somebody who who's who's longing for that, um you get in receive mode and and we want the Lord to speak to us in those ways. So Tegan, you just want to release dreams in Jesus' name.
SPEAKER_13Um, so I pray that God gives dreams to all these people and feel the same way that I feel, and heal them like how I got healed. And I just want them to be happy and filled with joy and get all that depression and sadness out of them and anger and recover that with love and happiness and joy and forgiveness.
SPEAKER_08Yeah.
SPEAKER_13So amen.
SPEAKER_06All right, let's get some girl power up here. Let's go, ladies. Alright, let's hear it for Amanda. Come on, Amanda.
SPEAKER_03So this week I went to the standard and it was kind of last minute, and I am so thankful I went because it changed my life. I before was a Christian. I went to church, I prayed a lot, but I never had an encounter with God. I never had an encounter with like Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit. I had a prayer tongue, which was great, but I just it didn't really feel like I was doing anything to me. And I just never really liked to worship a lot. Like I was just standing there just singing, I didn't really like, but this week I just I just found how much God loves me. And before this, I've been dealing with like depression and feeling rejection from like a lot of my friends. And a lot of my friends are Christians, but they don't act like a Christian, they just don't really show love to me. And this week I've been praying that God would just show how much he loves me, and he showed how much he loves me, and then he also just gave me a lot of amazing friends. So I just want to pray and just let you know that never doubt God because He always shows up and He always loves you, and so when He loves you, He will always give you what is best for you. And that's what I found this week. So I'm just gonna pray and say, Lord, thank you so much for loving us, Lord, and just giving us each other. I just pray, Lord, that you will show everyone in this room your love and that you will give them your beautiful love and just show them how much you love everyone. Because no matter what we do, you always love us, and that we're never alone and we're never rejected because you always love us. In the name of Jesus, amen.
SPEAKER_10Amen. Come on.
unknownI know you've got stuff to share.
SPEAKER_00Hey Boston, what's up?
SPEAKER_08Boston, come on, give it up for Boston Reno!
SPEAKER_05So before I went to the standard, I was kind of like Aaron and Tegan. I had a relationship with God, but it wasn't that strong. And the first night that I went to the standard, um I everyone like walked up to the front of stage and started getting on their knees, so I kind of just like everyone else was doing it, so I went to follow them. And I looked over and I saw Olive just bawling her eyes out. And every she's walking around just praying for people. Every single time she touched someone, they just started bawling her eyes out. And she came over to me and she started praying for me, and I just started bawling my eyes out. Aaron was next to me, bawling his eyes out. Everyone in the room was just crying like crazy. And then on the second night, when we were going to bed, I prayed that um I asked God for more. Like a bigger encounter of his love and stuff. And on the third night, I was on my knees crying, and someone came over to me. This like older guy, and he came over to me and he's like, I don't know who you are, or I never met you, but the Lord told me your name is Boston. And it just wrecked me. And thank you, Jesus.
unknownThank you.
SPEAKER_05Now I have a bigger relationship with God, and I'm super happy about it.
SPEAKER_06So I think something that everybody knows is that that God so loved the world, right? Um, but sometimes we forget that he actually likes us and and he wants to know us, uh, and he wants our love in return. And and one of the ways that uh that he tells us that he likes us and he loves us and he knows us is he actually knows our name. How crazy is that! We forget that God knows our name uh and knows unique things about us that sometimes we don't know. Um so, Boston, I just want you to just release that love. And um, again, this is like one of those moments, guys, where this is for us. Let's cultivate that in our lives and in our hearts. So I'm gonna pray that.
SPEAKER_05Lord, I pray that you will touch everyone's heart in this room and that they know that you love them and you like them, and you'll never stop loving them. Amen.
SPEAKER_06I'm not crying, you're crying. Kitty? All right. It's here for kitty.
SPEAKER_11Um so a lot has happened um at the standard, um, but I'm gonna just talk about one day, which was yesterday. So we went to the capital, and um when we were like worshiping, I like looked at the sky and I saw an outline of an angel. And it was like it said, um, like you are doing good to everyone that was worshiping. And it was kind of like just thanking us for worshiping God because he loves it. Um and then it started pouring rain, so then like I just laid down rain as you do, and um, and then I closed my eyes and I saw like what we think Jesus looks like, and he was just smiling at me. And it was like, what? Yeah. And then later that night, no, and then I got re-baptized because but like I was a Christian, but it was kind of like all the other people who just talked, it wasn't that strong, but yeah, and then um later we like lined up and people were praying over us, and I physically felt God's hand touch my top of the head, and it was like no one was there, he just touched the top of my head.
SPEAKER_00So um I just want to pray.
SPEAKER_11So Lord, I pray that you will uh touch the hearts of these people here, that they can just get visions and they can hear your you talking to them in the word. You'll help them just listen to you because you speak to them, but sometimes you just don't listen to you they don't listen to you and um God is trying to speak to you, but you're not listening, so in Jesus' name pray, amen.
SPEAKER_12Good morning.
SPEAKER_08Freedom.
SPEAKER_12Um uh so I've before the standard, I always had relationship problems with my family. And uh I felt like they hated me and preferred someone else. Um and during the standard, Olive, um uh she started praying for me, and she just prophesied against it. And um uh two days after that, then um my sister Lily uh she prophesied against it and just said things that I thought never were true, which now I see that they obviously are. And after that my sister Grace just one after the other, breakdown after breakdown. Um my sister Grace came and um prophesied about how the spirit hates the flesh and uh said that it was because I was spirited in the Lord and I want other people to experience um God's relationship name Yahweh. And it and just the presence and the love of God is amazing and it's for everyone.
SPEAKER_08Jesus, yeah, there's an anointing on this one. Come on, guys, there's a gift here if you're willing to receive it. His name is Freedom, by the way. It's the grace that God has given him. If you want to experience the freedom, where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Freedom, pray for us.
SPEAKER_12Um dear Jesus, please bless other people to experience the love and your presence, and that you will speak through other people and you will talk to them straight and say that you are his beloved, his child, and his masterpiece. And if you have a relationship with him, he can hit help you with relationships with other people. But forgiving takes time. And dear Jesus, amen.
SPEAKER_08Olive, Oliverina, the girl that made everybody cry. That's how she's that's how she's known. By the way, you guys know when the students are talking about bawling and crying and all this stuff. They're explor they're they're talking about these, you know, there's not a lot of language when we when we know that God is coming to us, and sometimes our bodies just like we we can't help but there's something that emotes within us because something is coming into alignment, or there's something that God is touching that He's needed to heal. And so, you know, obviously we we we we talk about crying and balling and all this stuff, but it's it's it's the beginning of this pathway to that that shows us. It's like a light on the dashboard of a car that says, God is doing something underneath the hood of my car right now. And um, and I just want to bless you guys with that as you have those things, you know, it's it's a it's an invitation for what God is doing when when we notice ourselves start shaking or crying or that kind of stuff. So Alba, tell us what happened.
SPEAKER_04Um so I was like, I think I was like in fifth grade when I first found out like I had a gift kind of. And I was at a Vine Life camp or a Kindnos camp, and I was just like sobbing on the floor, and it was crazy, and then I just like felt something, and so I went up to Gary, who was also crying on the floor, and I just started prophesying over him, and it was like crazy, and um and so I was kind of like expecting that when I went to the standard, and on the first night, it was like people were like talking on stage, and then I was just like sobbing on the floor, and then I just like went over to Amanda, and then I started praying over her and just like saying like a ton of stuff about like I don't really remember, but um, and then she was like, Oh my gosh, how did you know that? Like, I've literally been like struggling with that, and I was like, Oh my gosh, what's happening? And um, so then I prayed for a like ton of other people, and they were all like crying, and then um And then I was like Um I was on like the Capitol steps and then there was like this guy who was like protesting and he was like Jesus lies he's like Jesus is the worst or something and I was like I wanna go talk to him and I wanna go see like his point of view and I wanna go like try and talk to him. I didn't which I kind of regret um but instead of talking to him I actually talked I found these two girls that actually came from London and they were like super nice and really funny and so I started talking to them about Jesus and stuff and they were like oh well one of the girls was like oh can you like prophesy over me and I was like uh sure I'll try and then um so I like laid my hands on her and then I was like um saying like something's gonna come up in your life that's gonna be really hard and um Jesus is the only one that can get you through that and then she was like sobbing and I was like oh my gosh and then um she like went to talk to her friend or something and then it started pouring and then we were just like all dancing in the rain and it was like the best and then Kitty was rolling down the hill and um and I just like definitely felt God in that place and then the last night we were there this lady comes up to me and she's like you have the gift of prophecy and I think you're gonna be a pastor and I was like oh my gosh I've actually been struggling with that like a cry um I definitely have been um wanting sorry um I've definitely been wanting to like preach about God and stuff I've had like multiple dreams about it and I've never told anyone um so yeah you're preaching right now girl um so I'm just gonna pray um dear God I I pray that everyone here will fear feel your presence and just hear you talking to them and not ignore the fact that you are the only one that is important.
SPEAKER_06Thank you God you're the only one that all of us need and thank you and I pray that no one will be afraid to ask you for help even if we're like oh I don't need help like you still want to help us get through whatever we're gonna get through or do whatever we want to do and yeah in your name I pray amen so I I do want to brag on Olive a little bit it's she was kind of the first one um it as people shouted out she was um minute one she was just on the ground just just seeking the Lord um and God just used her um just to kind of light a fire uh in our group um which is really cool when a student does that because it makes my job really easy um but um you know and it it it's not I I don't want to elevate all of above you know the Lord because the Lord really has done some beautiful things through but that's one of the things that prophecy does is it it allows us to share God's heart with people um and and olive has just been able to to do that since she was a little kid and and I still um I have that recording from from when you're a fifth grader I listen to it now still uh and it's if I need encouragement it's just those those prophetic words just help build us up um so we're we're probably gonna be praying for people after I recommend just getting in Olive's line as well um but for some reason the Lord just moves through in in just really beautiful ways so thank you and then we can we can do some more next we're gonna we're gonna uh probably have a couple more share and then we're gonna have the youth line up in the front and welcome you guys to come just get blessed by them be prayed for by them um and then we'll the whatever whoever we don't get to today we'll do next week alright um because we there's several other really amazing uh breakthroughs here so go for it who who still is waiting to go Jaden gosh making it rough on me Jaden Noah do you have a good one all right you want to be our anchor alright hello vine life the first week I went to the standard I walked in I just felt the presence of God I just felt like it just blasted onto me and I just felt like relief that I had like support with all my friends and so like the first day I went into the room I started worshiping and I just saw Aaron you were just praying and so I started to pray and then I just felt God's glory over me.
SPEAKER_09So I just kept praying before this it was hard for me to connect to God because I just felt that like it was just me speaking in my head and so I didn't even know if it was God or it was me. So I just tested it out and I just tried to think and ask God but then on the third day like literally Trinity walks over and right as that Trinity talks to me God speaks and says that you're already with me Noah and so I'm just like what so I just I was just confused just distraught and I don't know what to use except pray and just hang out with all my friends. So yeah okay well I had a like spiritual dad kinda like he came over to me and like he just taught me how to pray over like an audience so I just prayed like I just shared and tried praying for like the whole place in the room and uh I just like saw fire all over everyone's head and I just like don't burn them and so I just saw like fire in everyone's hearts and all over them. Everyone was on fire and I walk over and I just on the second day I just walk over and see like all of them bawling and I'm just like stop and then I'm just like why is there a reason to bawl but then I just feel that there is a reason because like God is talking to them and I know that there's God's telling them something important. So yeah God I pray that everyone can connect with God and that they know that God is real and that he's with you and that I hope that everyone will now be worthy I don't know what to say um just connect with God and know him and let God see you.
SPEAKER_06You're God Jesus amen we got our caboose here Jaden Ross you guys doing okay?
SPEAKER_07Yeah it's up to you ma'am this one's good come on Jaden everybody welcome Jaden she's already got the phone out okay um so I feel like in order to like kind of I don't know get you guys feeling something I gotta give some background to uh my life and kind of how things have kind of built up to this moment. So sorry I'm like thinking of how I'm gonna phrase this I gotta finish strong. This is the last one. Okay, so growing up I have always been in like a Christian family. Both my parents uh still together and you know still are you know they've always gone to church uh and brought all of the kids along to do that. And you know so in a way it was like you know I didn't really I was young so I didn't really know how it felt to experience God and I'm not saying that you know it's impossible. I just never really understood it. But what ends up going on is I kind of drift away from that when I get older start to realize like eh well you know there's a potential that you know this guy up there you know isn't there and you know I've then wasted my entire life trying to find him when in reality I should have just been you know going out and enjoying myself you know life is life go skateboarding or something. But uh so I kind of just I don't know I I fell really far from God and I still would I don't know I would still talk to him as if he was there and I would in like you know some crying and desperate moments I would be really sad and I'd say God where are you man? Come on I need you and he wouldn't he wouldn't answer uh I don't really know I didn't really know why I didn't I didn't get it and that's kind of what made me you know fall even further I just got so mad at him because every time that I would try and communicate and be like come be a part of my life he wasn't there but there's a good end to this uh I what ends up happening is I find out uh through talking with my mom uh what a lovely lady I I have a conversation with her uh a few nights before the standard um because I was just going through a lot of emotions um I had just gone through a breakup um a few years prior uh I actually went to Juvie uh for three weeks and that was probably the most traumatic moment of my life um so far hopefully it doesn't top that uh but you know so I'm I'm feeling a lot of things I don't really know how to react like my life has pretty much fallen apart uh I don't have any anybody to talk to really so I resort to going to my mama uh and she sits with me and we're out I don't know how late it was it was probably you know one o'clock in the morning we were still talking uh and it started out with just a conversation saying like I'm so sad I don't eat enough I need a shower and it wasn't good I was just saying like yeah I'm I'm upset I'm sad and I feel depressed I have I feel like I'm I walk around the house as like an empty shell of myself and that I don't have really any feelings apart from just pain. And that sucks. I'm sure a lot of you guys know that you know pain is you know painful uh it's not desirable in any way so talking with my mom I ended up sharing uh this thing of from elementary school uh I when I kind of like didn't really have any or I I wanted some attention what I ended up doing is creating this sort of imaginary friend that I would talk to and it wasn't like you know oh hi Jeff you know what's up bro no it was like in me there was a there was this being that was there that I would be able to talk to so that I didn't feel so lonely and stuff like that. And I named him Junior uh you know Jaden Ross my initials uh he was like the other half of me but he was in me and what ended up happening is I got so close and familiar with this you know with Junior and everything like that that I didn't notice really when it changed. And I say it because uh well what started out as this you know harmless you know friend of mine ended up being corrupted by uh a demon I was letting it live inside me because I was kind of I didn't want to let it go. You know my my friend that got me through elementary school middle school you know now I'm in I just went through freshman year of high school uh and you know every once in a while I would talk to him and it got bad because it started telling me things that I really didn't want to hear. Uh and its ultimate goal and things and the goal that I have many times felt like uh pursuing was that it wanted me to die and it didn't want me to you know be alive anymore. It was trying to kill me in every way that it could just speak to me as if no one cared about my existence and things like that. It was really bad. But I talked with my mom about it and straight away she knew that she was like yep that's a demon I was like oh okay so we talked and we prayed and she asked me are you willing to get rid of Junior and I you know started shaking. I was a little silent I didn't really know how to feel about that because it had been with me for so long and she encouraged me a little bit she said things like well sometimes uh demons can become so familiar that you start to see yourself in it in a way and it starts to become a part of you so it's very difficult to be able to move on from it and get rid of it. I'm realizing I'm looking at the floor a lot uh just kind of I don't know feeling things that night ended with me completely just Junior's gone the demon's gone I expelled the demon from my body uh thank you and I wouldn't have been able to do that without my mom so thank you I love you um and it was perfect that that happened just the night before we uh leave for the standard because I mean I pack my things uh and we head to this thing and I'm like okay I got an empty spot in my soul I can fill it with God this will be this will be my moment and oh jeez that could not have been more true I I go to this thing and I'm standing in the front row because we had the deluxe uh pass and you know that was great in itself but like you know got a t-shirt was pretty great but uh I was we were in the front row and I was just sitting there in my chair and kind of like every other camp or Kinos camp that I'd been to and just every service or thing that I went to I just kinda sat in the back didn't really do much. I was just like and you know singing the songs. Just doing my thing. I didn't actually raise my hand either I was you know pocket you know that's good. But then I started seeing everybody go up to the front and like they were you know right there in the center of the stage and they were jumping and they were on the floor and I'm sure all of them was making people cry. And I was sitting there and I was like okay alright I like that I want to be a part of that. But at the same time I was like a little embarrassing I don't want to make myself look dumb. So I stayed back for a little bit until I see like I actually like see people that are you know fallen down and have collapsed and going through a lot and I was like dang I need that I you know every after everything that happened it would suck if I just wasted this moment and this chance to be able to you know find God just because I was ashamed of how I looked and things like that. So I get this I get this feeling I was like I'm gonna go find Jace my younger brother I want to go rest my hand on him because you know I want to support him. I want him to feel like he can find God even if I you know can't because I was feeling like this is a little little much for me. So I get up and I I walk I start walking and I know I don't know like spot Jace. I don't see him and but instead what ends up happening is I spot my brother Tate sitting in a chair and just instinctively I just walked towards him like not a second guess. I was just like I need to go to him and looking at it now that was probably like you know God being like oh yeah that's your guy so I went to Tate and I rested my hand on his shoulder and cool but then I started feeling things you know it was like I don't know I it's not really my place to share but um I feel like we haven't had the strongest bond ever compared to the other siblings and I think that's stupid because you know I'm not mad at you or anything. I forgave you a long time ago I just never knew how to say it. And this probably isn't the right place but I don't know so what ends up happening is I lean down and I don't know if he could hear me or not but I whisper in his ear after I was just like I was done with crying I guess because I you know already broke down I whisper in his ear and I say I love you because I do you know I want that connection with you I want that bond and I said don't want to touch anything I shouldn't um with Jace you know we've shared a room our entire lives so we had that connection with Trinity you know we'd always go play house in the basement but I I don't know I just I never had that like those moments with you. I just remember in the past it was always rough trying to be able to find a way to talk to you and stuff and it got better but in a way that it wasn't it just was silence. We didn't talk we didn't really acknowledge each other you'd come home from work and I'd just you know mind my own business didn't want to sorry I'm running on a tangent but hey we can talk about this later but uh sorry I'm taking way too long with this next night and I know I'm jumping but
