Welcome to another episode of ready set, mindful podcast. I'm your host Kerry Bicskei. And I'm excited to bring you this short and sweet. Episode today, this is going to be a guided visualization for athletes to build confidence and release negativity. So go ahead and get somewhere comfortable and quiet and go ahead and just close your eyes. 

Go ahead and take a nice deep inhale through your nose. 

Filling your belly. 

and  filling your lungs. 

And a long, slow, slower than you want to exhale. 

Just like that. Nice, big, deep inhale. 

And big exhale. Exhaling fully and slowly. 

Don't worry if thoughts are coming and going, just keep coming back to your breath to reset. 

Not in your next inhale. I want you to imagine that you're breathing in. A glowing lights. 

Maybe that light is yellow. 

White. Bright. You're breathing that in. As it's growing. It's going down. Into your belly. 

Almost like you have a little ball of energy, a little ball of sunlight inside your body. 

And as that glowing ball of light starts in your belly. It starts to expand. 

The glowing light expands down to your toes. All the way through your legs. Down your arms. 

See that glowing light. Going all the way out to your neck. 

Into your head. 

Until it looks like your whole body is glowing. 

This bright white light, this inner glow. It's not just in your body. 

It starts to expand. I want you to see this bright light, this inner glow. Now expanding beyond your body. 

As if it's creating a protective. Circle. Around you. That's protective energy. 

You see this circle around you glowing. Swirling. 

Protecting. 

This moving energy. 

This bright white. Light. 

And with that glow as it's expanding outside of your body. It's actually taking with it. Some of those negative things. That your inner critic. And her inner perfectionist says to you. 

These thoughts and feelings of I'm not good enough. 

I don't deserve to be here. 

I'm not worthy. 

All of those negative thoughts. Any emotions. 

Now or outside of this glowing orb. That's protective energy. That's around you. 

You've created this inner glow. 

That's allowing those negative thoughts and emotions to move further and further away from you. 

There are no longer a part of you anymore. 

As this inner glow is expanded through your body and outside of your body. It's taken with it. That perfectionist. Negative voice. 

That voice that. 

Tells you that you're not enough. That you'll never have the confidence that you want. 

You'll never be. The athlete. That you want to be. 

And what staying in your body. And your mind. Is that supportive voice. 

That support, that supportive voice. That's a part of you. That's telling you things like you can, you are enough. You do have value. 

That's the voice we want to pay attention to. 

That's always reminding you. That you are enough. You do deserve to be here. 

And even though. You're going to make mistakes. You're going to struggle. 

Even though it's not going to be perfect all the time. 

You're still connecting to who you are. And the confidence that you do have inside of you. 

I want you to really imagine now all of those negative. Perfectionistic voices. 

That that voice is on the outside. Those thoughts and emotions. Uh, negativity. Is outside of your protective orb. 

As you make room for what you do want to protect. Inside of that inner glow. 

Which is that voice of positivity. 

That voice of support. 

The voice you can always count on. 

Let that image sink in. 

Want you to take a big, nice steep inhale. To seal this visualization in. 

Nice big, slow exhale. 

That's it. You just let go. 

Breathing in that protective light. That positivity. That confidence. 

Breathing out. That negativity. 

That perfectionistic voice. Those negative emotions. 

Go ahead and start to bring your attention. Back to your body. Once you start to wiggle your fingers and your toes. And just bring your attention back to the room that you're in. As you slowly open your eyes.
