Melanie Pizzey "Leader in Highlight" Part 2
In Part 2 of our interview with Melanie Pizzey, she chats with us about being a female leader in a male-dominated industry. She reflects upon her early role models being the strong women in her family and foundational TTI leaders, Paul Andrews and Craig Conrad. Melanie had an early determination to succeed and was taught to value and accept people for who they are. She learned how to navigate the boardroom to ensure her thoughts were heard. Her courage and confidence came from being well prepared, respecting those around her, and seeing herself as equal. "Think about your end goal and develop a plan to get there," Melanie says. "Perception becomes reality." Melanie talks about the value of being open-minded, listening, trying new things, and mindfully disconnecting at times to reflect upon your goals, and behave your way to success.
