EP.89 - Eric Godard - Stanley Cup Champ and 1000 Career PIMs
Show Notes

Eric Godard is a self-admitted unlikely Stanley Cup Champion. But that doesn't mean he wasn't a big part of the 2009 Pittsburgh Penguin championship.

Godard never thought he'd play Major Junior. He was wrong.

Godard never thought he'd be a professional hockey player. He was wrong.

And Godard never thought he'd be an NHL'er and a Stanley Cup Champ. But he was wrong again.

Eric climbed the hockey ranks by being a great teammate and by being one tough SOB.

Judged by some of his peers as the toughest of his era (and his era was TOUGH), Eric amassed over 1000 PIMs in the AHL over 800 in the NHL - and Eric rarely took a minor penalty!

In this episode we talk about Eric's road to the NHL, the mindset of an NHL enforcer, his new job as scout for the Minnesota Wild, have a lot of laughs and share some stories.

Enjoy!
