Hi and welcome to this episode of Sassin Sips. Today we are going to talk about Lost Season Five, Episode Eight, Le Fleur. I'm Lisa.
SPEAKER_00Come on. I'm so sorry. I just it was doing so good.
SPEAKER_04Okay, okay, okay. I'm just gonna mute myself the rest of the day.
SPEAKER_01No, just just introduce yourself. And I'm Agnes. Fool I can't stop laughing. In case you didn't know, that's Agnes. I'm drinking sangria today. What are you drinking?
SPEAKER_04I'm drinking our sassy sips drink. Tequila with the raspberry lemonade and frozen mango pieces.
SPEAKER_01All of a sudden she kept her shit together when she started talking about alcohol. Look at that. Okay. Cheers. Cheers.
SPEAKER_04I was keeping my priorities in life straight, okay, Lisa? Hello.
SPEAKER_01Clearly. All right. I feel like I I feel like there's a dance coming on or something. Because I want to get your hot takes for this episode. You did watch it, right? Because I haven't heard not one. I told you so. So I'm like, wait, did you watch it? I did watch it. I watched it.
SPEAKER_00Are you high? What the hell? Not this time, no. God. Am I not I enough?
unknownWhat?
SPEAKER_01I I oh what the hell happened?
SPEAKER_00I'm so are you crying?
SPEAKER_04I'm just trying to hold it and it's not working. I can't tell you why I'm laughing so hard.
SPEAKER_01But those are the best laughs. Oh, even I'm tearing now.
SPEAKER_04And then nothing happened before we hit the cord.
SPEAKER_01No, nothing happened. We just started. Oh, you started laughing because of the way I was introduced in the episode. And then forget about all it wasn't even that funny.
SPEAKER_04Oh god. Oh, take 166 at this point. Okay.
SPEAKER_01All right, hot takes.
SPEAKER_04Uh huh. We have a shitload of hot takes. Um, I did watch it.
SPEAKER_01Give them to me, baby.
unknownGive it to me. Give it to me.
SPEAKER_04No, no, no. You give them to me, and I'll I know, but you saw singing. I can I cannot sing. Hello. Okay. So when you asked me, did I watch it? And I'm like, wait, did I? But I did watch it. I just watched it last night. And I was like, why don't I remember shit? Don't remember anything. I remember that I wanted to watch the next episode. I said, no, I'm not gonna watch it. I remember that I liked it. I was like, ooh, the next one.
SPEAKER_01I like that. You wanted to watch the next episode? Yes, but I don't remember. I told you you were gonna like this episode.
SPEAKER_04But I don't remember. I remember um oh but modern boots.
SPEAKER_01Sawyer is now part of the Dharma initiative.
SPEAKER_04Yes, and yeah, okay, so I'm not thinking anything pops up that I really want to talk about.
SPEAKER_01Okay, I'm just gonna start reading. And you're gonna, yeah. Okay, okay.
SPEAKER_04I'm not too sure if I've seen it. Thank God. This is the first time you've ever asked me. Well, did you watch it? I was like, why would she add that?
SPEAKER_01The episode picks up more or less at the end of where um was it? There's no place like home or 316 or anyway, one of those.
SPEAKER_04Not the last one, but the one before it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and I can't remember the name of it. But anyway, you guys know, and that's what's important.
SPEAKER_04That's all that matters because we don't know shit about shit.
SPEAKER_01We don't know shit about Buck. You watch Ozark?
SPEAKER_04No.
SPEAKER_01Oh, you should. Okay, anyway. If you watch Ozark, then you know. I don't know shit about Buck. Oh, Ruth. That's such a good character. Anyway, after another time flash, the well at the orchid site, you know, the one that Locke went down the hole.
SPEAKER_04Locke go down the hole.
SPEAKER_01It's gone. Leaving Sawyer behind holding a rope that only leads into the ground.
SPEAKER_04That was kind of funny. He goes to go swing and go down. He's like, oh shit.
SPEAKER_01He tries to rescue Locke, but Juliet stops him, pointing out that they're now in a time before the well was built. Miles. So actually, this is where you see him kind of like pulling up on the rope, like straining. But it's just it's just like dirt. There's no well. So Miles then is like, um, you guys, and he points into the distance, and there's you see the back of a giant statue. Did that statue look at all familiar for you?
SPEAKER_04No, but when I looked at it, I'm like, Lisa's gonna ask about this shit, and I don't fucking know.
SPEAKER_01Okay, that's okay. Uh we'll talk about it later.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_01Meanwhile, we get like kind of like a refresh on lock and like what happened down in the room.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, because there was a second where I'm watching it. I'm like, did I see this? Like, because the refresh was a little bit more detailed. I'm like, wait, did I hit the wrong episode for a second? Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. So basically, it just shows you kind of like the same events. It's not really any new information. Afterwards, they all agree that that last flash felt different. And noticing that their headaches have faded and their nosebleeds have stopped, they surmise that they are done traveling through time. Sawyer notices that the well is in place again, and he's like, I'm gonna save Locke. So he grabs the rope and he jumps into the well, and then he realizes that he didn't go anywhere. He's just like standing there.
SPEAKER_04I guess skip the scene because that was a funny, that was a funny part.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Um, he's he's he's at ground level because the well has the well is there, but it's been filled in. Sawyer says he's gonna wait until Locke comes back, and Juliet is like, okay, well, how long? And he's like, as long as it takes. You know what? If Sawyer tells you he's waiting for you, he's waiting for you.
SPEAKER_04He's waiting.
SPEAKER_01He is a man of his word. He con man or not, he is a man of his word.
SPEAKER_04Speaking of con man, because this is scene where I knew, I'm like, oh my god. I knew where they were gonna go with the scene, and they just, yeah, I was like, aha, funny, I knew that. Anyway, because I was thinking it myself.
SPEAKER_01They seek out Daniel, who's looking stunned, staring at the ground and repeating repeatedly mumbling, I won't tell. When asked where Charlotte is, Daniel explains that she died and then vanished during the last flash. Sawyer decides that they'll head back to the beach to see if their camp is there, or if it's not, they'll just build a new one. Juliet knows that they don't really have much of a plan. But then when Miles starts to rant about, oh, well, we'll just go to the beach, but then we'll go back to the orchard, and then we'll go back to the beach. Juliet is like, shut the fuck up, and we're just gonna do Sawyer's plan.
SPEAKER_02Like cupcake.
SPEAKER_01But that's what she said. You know, like that's just like what she wanted to say. That's what they all wanted to say. On the way to the beach, they hear gunshots, they move like towards them, and then they see in a clearing two men standing over a woman and a dead man. Sawyer and Juliet move out, rifles at the ready. He's like, You got my back? She's like, I do got your back. Again, that's really what they should have said.
SPEAKER_04They should have, but I felt it.
SPEAKER_01Sawyer tells him to put their guns down. One of them fires at him, but Juliet caps his ass. The other is then shot by Sawyer. Sawyer is like, okay, put your gun down, and he said no, and so Sawyer's like, cap your ass too.
SPEAKER_04That was kind of a badass scene. Like it was like so much was said between them with that look, but not I yeah, I felt it.
SPEAKER_01It kind of really makes you want to be Juliet even more.
SPEAKER_04Yes, I know. Oh, but um, oh, I know why someone told you, I told you so. Took me a second.
SPEAKER_00More than a second.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_04Listen, to be fair, I can't like how could you forget?
SPEAKER_01Like, I felt like I was just gonna get text messages about this.
SPEAKER_04Because in my head, and I was thinking it as it's happening. I'm like, for the long for the longest time in my head, it was already a done deal. Like, as far as I'm concerned, like this is this is gonna happen. So I kind of forgot that it hadn't happened. Does that make sense?
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no, that that makes sense.
SPEAKER_04So, as I'm like, okay, and I'm like, oh wait, this is just not happening. They don't know it's happening like, oh, but in my head, I'm like, I said, yeah, I gotta tell Lisa that I'm a little stupid, but yeah, so I'm a lot stupid, but you love me. I do love you. I pay you to say that.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, you're late on last month's payment.
SPEAKER_04I'm late on last the past year's couple years payment.
SPEAKER_01I pay you back in you're late on the last 36 years.
SPEAKER_04I'll pay you back in trade.
SPEAKER_01Pay me on Tuesday for hamburger.
SPEAKER_04Hamburger today.
SPEAKER_01People are gonna be like, what the fuck?
SPEAKER_04If you know, you know.
SPEAKER_01We're old. But we're only 20. Uh, the hell was I? The woman introduces herself as Amy and convinces them to bury the body, the bodies of the two others, and then carry her dead husband Paul back. Daniel approaches, Daniel approaches the sonic fence, and Juliet yells for him to stop. Amy goes over to the control box, you know, acts like she's disabling it, and then she walks through. Sawyer, Jin, and Juliet. No, Sawyer, Jin, Juliet, Daniel, and Miles go ahead too, but then they're knocked out by a high-pitched noise. Apparently, that bitch Amy removed earplugs from the box and had them in her ears, and that's how come she wasn't affected by the set them up.
SPEAKER_04Like they legit saved your life, bitch, with with no questions asked.
SPEAKER_01Exactly. And it wasn't like they were like, oh, take me to your leader.
SPEAKER_04They were just like, Oh, you'll help you we'll carry your dead husband's body.
SPEAKER_01Bury the dead guys, carry this guy. Yeah, okay. Ungrateful people.
SPEAKER_04Pretty much.
SPEAKER_01So the next thing you know, Sawyer is waking up at the barracks, he's in the rec room, and he's being questioned by Horace Goodspeed. Sawyer intro does intro that too. Mm-hmm. Sawyer introduces himself as Jim LaFleur. He invents the cover story that his group was on a salvage boat that wrecked while searching for the Black Rock. Horace tells Sawyer that the group will have to leave the next morning on the sub. He explains that only members of the Dharma Initiative are allowed to stay inside the compound, and that, you know, no offense, but you're not Dharma Initiative material. And as we know, Lost loves its irony, as we'll see later. Right. The rest of the group is like sitting outside at a picnic bench and they're talking about their situation. Miles is worried, but Juliet is not. They ask Juliet what she's looking at, and she points to the house that she used to live in for more than three years. Miles asks her if she was a member of the Dharma initiative, and she says no. She mentions the purge, which was also before her time on the island. Daniel still seems confused, but then he sees a little girl whom he guesses to be young Charlotte. And then afterwards, Sawyer and Horace meet them, and Sawyer tells the group what he has achieved. Suddenly, the alarm sounds and everybody takes cover in their houses. The group is brought inside one of the houses where an armed woman is to look after them. As Sawyer and Juliet start to look out the window, a man with a burning torch strolls into the middle of the compound. Oh, look, it's Richard Albert. Looking the same as always.
SPEAKER_04I love his little walk and his swagger.
SPEAKER_01I like swagger all over me. Like okay, I'm gonna take that out.
SPEAKER_04No, don't that was pure gold. Um, that was amazing. He's so handsome, yummy. And no, he does not wear eyeliner. No, he's a he has a nice thick eyelashes. Men get yeah, men are pretty, the eyelashes, the great hair, because in every species on this planet, the man is the male is supposed to like show off for us, right? You both folks got it. Yeah, you guys suck, men suck balls. Girl, don't get me started on men right now because that's a whole nother episode.
SPEAKER_01Oh, yeah, no, I know. And we have work tomorrow, so we can't. We'll have to cut this off at some point.
SPEAKER_04I guess.
SPEAKER_01Horace goes to speak to him, then returns and anxiously asks Sawyer how well they buried the bodies. And Sawyer is like, well, that depends on how hard they look. I mean, isn't that true for like most things, but um Sawyer then goes outside, ignoring Horace's objections. He explains that he's the one responsible for killing the two men. And then he asked Richard if he buried the bomb. Richard is like, um, huh? What? You know, like new phone, who's this? New Dharma, who's this? Um he also brings up Richard's meeting with Locke that happened 20 years earlier. He's like, um, don't you remember a guy who like waltzed on it into your camp?
SPEAKER_04That was the best moment.
SPEAKER_01I'm showing Locke and then disappeared. Like you know, Richard is like, wait, what the fuck? Like, so he's like, Yeah, I'm not with the Dharma Initiative, I'm with John Locke.
SPEAKER_04And people like, who believes that shit? But hello, this dude is like 100 years old and he looks like he's 30.
SPEAKER_01So don't you worry about who's gonna believe it. Right, he's gonna believe it. He's gonna believe it, and don't you worry about why it's like he's gonna believe it because um I'm gonna tell him a story about what happened to us yesterday, but for him it was 20 years ago. So, you know, I'm gonna seem like the only fucking second coming of Jesus right about now.
SPEAKER_04And everything, I guess this whole episode kind of mind fuck a little bit because I have to remember like the three years and then not three years, but three years right around the corner. But it makes sense, it does make sense.
SPEAKER_01Basically, Sawyer explains that the Dharma truce with the others hasn't been violated, and after getting the story of what happened to his people, Richard tells Sawyer that they still require justice. Sawyer returns and tells Horace and then they go to talk to Amy, telling her that they'll face whatever they need to. She doesn't want to give up the body, but give up the body. They want the body.
SPEAKER_03Give me the body.
SPEAKER_01Give me the body.
SPEAKER_03Where's the bar?
SPEAKER_01She agrees that they can have the body, but she takes the Ankh necklace from his neck first. As Sawyer leaves the room, Horace tells him that they can stay for two weeks when the submarine is scheduled to return to the island. At the dock by the submarine, Juliette tells Sawyer that Locke has already saved them, noting that the flashes have stopped and they're no longer sick, so there's no need to wait for him. She explains that she's been trying to get off the island for over three years and that she intends to be on the submarine in the morning despite Sawyer convincing Horace otherwise. Oh, Juliet, you weren't ready for Sawyer.
SPEAKER_04No, no, no. No one could say no to Sawyer. Who wants to? But she likes him. She wants a kiss. She wants a date. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Sawyer, however, talks her into staying initially for just two weeks until the next sub trip. That was 1974. Now we are in 1977. Do you remember that there was an episode with it was when Saeed and maybe Kate, that they were exploring in the jungle and they found Mikhail's house.
SPEAKER_02Vaguely.
SPEAKER_01It had like the cow outside, and they're like, oh, it's a radio tower, whatever.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01The title of oh, and Lock was with them also, because he remember he was playing chess.
SPEAKER_04I remember vaguely, but yes.
SPEAKER_01But then the name of that episode is called Enter 77. But in that episode, it referred to a key on the um on the computer game, like after Lock 1.
SPEAKER_04Okay, right, yeah.
SPEAKER_01And now we are entering 1977.
SPEAKER_04Do you think this was intentional or just like a happy accident that they're gonna run that they're gonna run with? I think about 20% of the shit was just maybe 40% of the shit was just a happy accident. Like, oh fuck, let's run with it.
SPEAKER_01It's very possible. So 1977. In a security center at the barracks, Jerry puts on some music and begins dancing with Rosie. Suddenly, Phil bursts in, angry that the two are neglecting the monitors and worried about what their boss, La Flor, will say. Jerry attempts to calm Phil, but then he sees someone on the monitor by the solar fence. They identify the person as Horace who appears to be drunk and throwing lit dynamite into the forest. They're like when when he's getting yelled at it, he's like, Well, you worried about the polar bears? Are they gonna figure out a way to get out of their cages or something?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I was like, oh, that's cute. I like the fact that little things are so like being brought in, considering yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Despite their initial reluctance, the pair run to one of the houses and wake LaFleur, who is the head of security, and turns out to be Sawyer. I mean, come on. Sawyer gets Miles, who's also a security officer, and asks him, Did you bring your zapper? The two of them drive out to the sonar fence where they retrieve a passed out Horace. Sawyer takes him back to his home where Sawyer is greeted by Horace's wife, Amy. As Sawyer explains what happens, what happened, Amy goes into labor. In the infirmary, the doctor reminds Sawyer that the baby is in the breach position and a cesarean section is needed. The doctor explains that Dharma women always give birth on the mainland and he is inexperienced with such an operation. Sawyer heads to the Dharma motor pool where Juliet, who is look at that, still on the island, is working as a mechanic. Juliette initially objects, saying that she and Sawyer had a deal, but ultimately agrees to go do the procedure even though the doctor's uncomfortable. Fuck that doctor. Outside the infirmary, Sawyer awaits for the for news of the baby, and Jin, who now speaks fluent English, shows up and reports that their grid searches continue even though they still haven't found any of their people. Juliette emerges and joyously says that Amy gave birth to a baby boy. Later, a smiling Sawyer strolls through the barracks and picks a flower. He returns to the house he now shares with Juliet. As she prepares dinner, he gives her the flower and tells her that she was amazing today. They declare their love for each other and share a kiss. Sawyer asks, Horace, how's his head feeling? To which Horace responds, it hurts. Sawyer informs him that he missed the birth of his son and inquires about the fight between Horace and Amy that led Horace to pass out in a drunken stupor. He's like I got good news and bad news. Good news you got a baby boy. Bad news you missed it. Horace had found the unk necklace which had belonged to Paul among Amy's things, leading Horace to question Amy's love for him. Horace is unsure whether three years is enough time for Amy to get over Paul. Sawyer tells of his love for a girl with whom he had a shot, but reluctantly lost his chance. She has been gone for three years, and though he had difficulty forgetting her in the beginning, he finds now that he barely remembers her face. And thus Sawyer Sawyer states three years is absolutely enough time to get over someone. And then you know what happens? And then Lost comes and says, Oh yeah, motherfucker, hold my beer.
SPEAKER_04Hold my beer. I mean, to be fair, the two situations aren't exactly the same.
SPEAKER_01No, no, of course not.
SPEAKER_04Because you know, losing a losing your significant other be a death, you know, a little bit different. But yeah, I get what he's I get his point. I get where he was going with that.
SPEAKER_01In the morning, Sawyer and Juliet are asleep in bed when they're awakened by a phone call. Jin is calling with urgent news, and Sawyer um and as Sawyer get dressed, and as Sawyer gets dressed, he doesn't tell Juliet the nature of the emergency. He drives his blue Dharma Jeep out to the North Valley alone and waits for Jin to arrive in a Dharma van. They park their vehicles opposite one another and the van's passengers emerge. First Hurley, then Jack, and then finally Kate. Sawyer is shocked to see his friends as he takes off his glasses in disbelief. And that is how the episode ends. Now, you told me so. Are you happy?
SPEAKER_04Like I said, I it's weird because I feel like it's already a it was already known. Like I feel like it was already a thing. The way they they bounced off of each other and the way that they just work so well together is kind of like you forget that they're not, but they yeah, I just find it hard to be happy about something that in my head was already a done deal. Right, they're already, yeah, they're already together. What are you talking about? There's nothing new.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I I like their their story arc, their dynamic is amazing.
SPEAKER_04I want to know what he told her. Um, like what happened from the two weeks to three years. Like, like hey, I mean, I'm sure that she was already kind of falling for him to begin with. I mean, you you wouldn't have stayed the two weeks if you didn't. And those two weeks probably just solidified their love for one another. Okay, too much.
SPEAKER_01No, you want to do some like uh, you know, no, trivia, trivia, trivia. This is the first time Sawyer has been seen with no beard since Pilot part two.
SPEAKER_04Now, the funny thing is, you know how long it took me? Like, okay, the hair is longer. What is it? It's off. Something's off. Why can't I get it? And then, like, of course, at the end of the episode, I'm like, oh, the beard. Um took me that long to get it. I'm a little slow with uptake sometimes.
SPEAKER_01A fan-based joke revolving around Richard Alpert and Guy Liner is referenced in this episode by Sawyer, who explains to Horace he was referring to his buddy out there with the eyeliner.
SPEAKER_04Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_01The joke has been debunked in interviews with the actor playing Richard, Nestor Carbonel, who has very dark eyelashes. However, he once actually wore an eyeliner in the dark night.
SPEAKER_04Oh, I'm I'm going to whitewash that movie now.
SPEAKER_01So there's obviously the theme of three. So, like three years, right? Three years before, three years later. Julia's been trying to get off the island for three years. She lived in that same house for three years, and then there's the you know, is three years long enough to get over somebody?
SPEAKER_04Three, three, three. Okay, maybe it's just maybe it's also the at the show was three seasons too long. Ooh. But I mean this is gonna fuck me up. Explain to me why it took so long to see my man Sawyer and my man, like I like Locke and I love Sawyer. Those are my two boyfriends, and I don't like the fact that it took them that long to show him, like, he needs his own episode at least once a season.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yep, yep, yep. And I'm babbling.
SPEAKER_01So the little girl that Daniel presumes to be Charlotte is 19 is in 1974. Yet Ben previously mentioned that Charlotte was born in 1979. In the March 19, 2009 podcast, it was revealed that the original script for Confirmed Dead stated that Charlotte was born in 1970. Damon and Carlton initially said that Rebecca Maider was responsible for the change, though they later admitted that they had changed the birth date as a result of casting a younger actress for the role than they had originally planned. They admit now that it should have been 1970 all along.
SPEAKER_04Interesting.
SPEAKER_01Juliet successfully delivers the baby without letting the mother die. You know, just kind of leaning towards the notion that whatever happened on the island that made it so that women can give birth maybe hasn't happened yet.
SPEAKER_04It happened probably when I think it's a result of something the Dharma does that they haven't done yet. I don't know, I'm just making up shit. I'm good at talking out my ass.
SPEAKER_01This is a major step in his character development. Okay? I mean, think about it, right? Beginning of the series, he's just like this gruff con man. Nobody can really trust him. Even the viewers who have insight are like, you know, like who didn't like story from the get-go?
SPEAKER_04You got issues. Okay, go ahead.
SPEAKER_01No, no, no, but like, what you know, like he's like, oh, that guy's a terrorist, and you know, like he was he was not supposed to be really like a likable character. So to see him go from there to here, now literally the de facto leader, the one that they all trust, the one that they look at.
SPEAKER_03They're like, who made him the leader?
SPEAKER_01And I'm always like taking care of them, right?
SPEAKER_04I can see I have faith in Soya all along.
SPEAKER_01That's a huge you know, that's a huge um personal growth.
SPEAKER_04That's huge personal growth, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yes, yeah. So some cultural references. The unk, I think that's how you say it, right? Unk?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, the Egyptian unk, yeah.
SPEAKER_01So it's an Egyptian hieroglyph, it's a symbol of eternal life and fertility. Egyptian gods are often portrayed carrying it by its loop or bearing one in each hand, arms crossed over their chest. The giant statue appears to be holding one in each hand, but its arms are by its side, not crossed over its chest. Paul's necklace was also the ankh unk? Wait, what did I say?
SPEAKER_04I call it a I call it an unk.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Paul's necklace was also an unk, which Amy takes from him after he dies. And Amy later successfully gives birth on the island. Maybe that's what all the women need.
SPEAKER_04Well, you know.
SPEAKER_01A dead husband's unk.
SPEAKER_04Well, you know, I mean, it was like first, you know, Garden of Eden is in Mesopotamia, and then, you know, first, you know, first of mankind up in the Africa, Jeff, you know. Anyhow, the creator of life.
SPEAKER_01So, and not only is now Sawyer, the ex-con man, the leader of our lusties, he's also the head of security.
SPEAKER_04That does not surprise me. That was a fitting, that was very fitting for him.
SPEAKER_01He picked the alias Le Fleur, which means the flower. And we also see in this episode he gave a flower to Julia just before Kate showed up. I think that it's also fitting that this phase of his life also started more or less at the orchid. That's where Locke had to go to reset. Oh, until like 1977, this kind of phase in his life where he's LaFleur, he's gonna be with Juliet, Dharma Initiative, leader of Miles and head of security and the Losties, or whatever. His name also reflects that that's symbolically where his journey began. Or that's just me overthinking things.
SPEAKER_04Nope, it makes sense.
SPEAKER_01The statue we see the big statue, we see the back, but we saw part of the statue before. So I don't remember. Let me see, the episode was Live Together, die alone. It was one of the season finales. I want to say like season two. Jin sounds good. Jinn and Sun and Saeed were in the boat. Remember they that the plan was that like some of them were gonna walk on land, and the other ones were gonna go in the boat, and they were gonna meet on the other side of the island.
SPEAKER_04Vaguely.
SPEAKER_01And while they were in the boat, they saw just the foot of the statue. Oh, it wasn't the whole statue, it was just the foot.
SPEAKER_04Okay, okay. I remember. I remember that. This is the whole statue.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Now, did you remember this when you first watched it?
SPEAKER_01Remember, I watched it on TV, and there was always like the previously on lost.
SPEAKER_04Okay, so it was able to. Okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I didn't have I didn't have to remember it.
SPEAKER_04So translation, you would not have.
SPEAKER_01I don't know if I would have.
SPEAKER_04I don't think you would have. Because it's like it's like one, it comes like it's a week. You know, you have to wait, and then there's a summer break, and then there's like there's a lot of time between the episodes.
SPEAKER_01Well, and between seasons, because that was remember, this is season two.
SPEAKER_04Right or strike that was like season two, and there's a writer's strike, and that pushback stuff. Yeah, so oh my god.
SPEAKER_01The next episode is called Namaste.
SPEAKER_04Yes, believe it or not, our wonderful listeners, I meditate quite often. I focus on my chakras, and I do all that like hippie-dippy stuff. And there's a and this is and that is why I am not in jail. It's funny. People who like know me superficially, people who just know me like peripherally would never think that I'm a nice, I am calm at peace, wusa, namaste. I really am. I'm the calm one. Like, is you sure you want to do this? I got your back. I'm ready to go, I'm ready to fight. Like, as I'm putting my hair in the bun, like I'm putting my hair in the French braid.
SPEAKER_01I should get her Vaseline.
SPEAKER_04Like, I'm like, are you sure you want to do this? Have you worked out and doing all that stuff? Like, have you worked out every contingency plan? Are we still doing this? As I'm getting ready to fight, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Anyhow.
SPEAKER_04Anyhow. I used to stay anyhow. And my mother used to go, but my mother, this here's the here's the use of part. This is the used to part. My mother used to respond, I'm not an any hoe, I'm a special hoe. Yeah, I'm sure she would love for it to be to go on in history, her legacy, her monaisms.
SPEAKER_01This this comeback has been brought to you by Mona. Oh Lord. All right. Next episode, Namaste.
SPEAKER_04Namaste, bitches.
SPEAKER_01We thank you for listening to this episode. And we will remind you, as we always do, not to drink and drive, but to please drink responsibly. My god, don't be those assholes that ruin it for the rest of us, okay? You know, we don't want like the way this world is going, okay, we're getting our rights taken away from us, left and right. Like, do you really want to be into like another prohibition?
SPEAKER_04You came out of left field with that. I kind of thought you were yelling at me for a second.
SPEAKER_01I was like, wait, that was the boy No, I don't want to make moonshine in my bathtub. At least if I want to, it's because if if I do it's because I want to want to, not because I have to, right? So I'm gonna just go to the liquor store and buy a bottle and keep it moving.
SPEAKER_04Right. So don't be stupid, people.
SPEAKER_01So let's let's always don't ruin it for the rest of us. Now, the other thing I want to tell you is that if you're sexy and you know it, the review five stars.
SPEAKER_04I love it, but I was with it. I was like, yeah, I don't know where you're going, but I'm with you.
SPEAKER_01I'm I'm a little drunk. A little? You know, a little bit, a little bit a lot, a little bit a lot, it's fun here.
SPEAKER_04Is that why it took us 20 to us 30 minutes to start this episode after we hit record?
SPEAKER_01Okay, I'm gonna leave those outtak somewhere.
SPEAKER_04I'm just glad it wasn't me this time because usually I'm the dumbass.
SPEAKER_01Hey, you're the one who kept laughing.
SPEAKER_04Because you made me know actually, wait, actually, yeah, I couldn't stop laughing. So I was a dumbass.
SPEAKER_01Anyway, but uh yeah, only sexy people, no, no, no, no, no. What if we have ugly listeners? Um, but they don't know they're ugly. That's true. Do ugly people know that they're ugly.
SPEAKER_04No, stop.
SPEAKER_01I want all you sexy, fabulous listeners out there to go leave us a sexy, fabulous review and five stars. I don't know. Just I like that creative with it. Like, I like how creative you could be. Oh, yeah, it's like a creative writing contest, but for like good reviews. Yes, I could sign that. Actually, to be honest, if you leave five stars with it, like you could just write whatever you want.
SPEAKER_04Like, honestly, good, bad, and different. You would you could talk about your pets.
SPEAKER_01Um oh, we want to hear about your pets.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah, yeah. Give us a view on Fido.
SPEAKER_01Oh, five stars, and then tell us about your best doggie. Okay, who is the best boy ever? Okay, or girl. No, no, no, I got the best girl. Sorry. Oh, well, just saying.
SPEAKER_04I like cats. Can we talk about your your favorite, your best pet, your best furry child?
SPEAKER_01Tell us all about your pets. Yes, I want to give it away. I'm so excited about it. And if anybody has ghosts, tell us send us pictures online. Like, if you got a picture of your pet, and I mean like actual animal. Animal, like not a penis.
SPEAKER_04Um the fact that we have to actually say that pisses me off.
SPEAKER_01Hey, you can you can slide those into our DMs. Oh, we want us, we want to see. Oh, live there pretty. Oh god. Okay, now I think you went somewhere else. Oh we should do that on Twitter more often. Ask for like pet tax. Pet tax. All right, anyway. We gotta go. I gotta go get chips and salsa or something.
SPEAKER_04No one feeds me around here either. I actually have I actually started a Wing Stop order, but I didn't realize I didn't have my card on me.
SPEAKER_01You don't know your numbers by heart.
SPEAKER_04No, because it's saved in my phone, but I'm using the app, so it this it doesn't work with the app. If I did online, it would have, but yeah, sorry. I I suck.
