Hi, and welcome to today's special Assassin's Tips episode. Today you're joining us for Pot Luck, where everybody brings the dish. Like Agnes can't even keep a straight face, alright? I'm Lisa, and the fool that can't speak is Agnes. And we are joined. We're joined by two special guests, Amy and Sandria. Would you guys like to introduce yourselves?
SPEAKER_02Hi, my name is Amy. I am from Brooklyn and um New York City teacher by day and uh bling slayer by night.
SPEAKER_00You get your $5 fix with Amy. Yeah. Yes.
SPEAKER_02You can feed your $5 habit with me. That's a noted statement.
SPEAKER_00I know. I just you had me. I still can't figure out what was on my face, so you know.
SPEAKER_02Oh gosh, don't start that up again.
SPEAKER_00Wait, wait, this is a whole different episode.
SPEAKER_03That is Sasta Sips at the dark. We have to wait for this one.
SPEAKER_00I'll I'll let Xandria introduce herself and then I it's the dumbest thing, but then I'll tell you.
SPEAKER_01Okay, because I'm scared.
SPEAKER_00She should be.
SPEAKER_01Okay. Hi, I'm Xandria. I am a single mom from Queens, New York. And um, yeah, that's about it. That's my claim to fame. As single as they come.
SPEAKER_03As single as they come. I feel Lisa, you're the only married one here. Sorry. Oh no, I think we're sorry for you. No. I think we're sorry for you.
SPEAKER_00On some days. But it's okay. No, no, no. The other night, Alex and I were gonna go outside and and sit by the fire pit, and I came downstairs because I had changed into like pajama pants and a t-shirt because it was chilly out. And I can't he was heating up pizza, so he was gonna heat me up a slice, and my oldest daughter was standing in the kitchen. I don't know, she was asking us something, and then it was funny because he he must have splashed something at me or touched my face, and I was like, You got it on my face, but then of course, like two 12-year-olds, we both start laughing. My daughter, who's 17, just kind of like and walks away, and then of course we laugh even harder, but I can't remember what he got on my face. Amy, this reminds me of the knock, knock, knock. Yeah. Beep, beep, beep, beep. Oh my gosh. Yeah, we spent the better part of an hour last night trying to remember, and we we can't coming back in bits and pieces.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, you didn't remember the pizza at first, and then eventually that part came back.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so we're gonna have to have a follow-up episode. Like, I remember I'm never gonna remember.
SPEAKER_00I've been trying. That's a problem.
SPEAKER_03Go go brush your teeth. You remember.
SPEAKER_00There you go.
SPEAKER_03Long story.
SPEAKER_00That's when I do my best remembering. I did brush my teeth today, but I don't remember. But okay.
SPEAKER_03Back to the episode. I'm so back to the episode. I'm so excited for our maiden voyage.
SPEAKER_00Listen, Agnes is like, oh my god, my friend has the best story. Oh, okay. What is it? I'm not gonna tell you.
SPEAKER_03Is it the best story, or is it the worst story? It's the best, worst story ever. Because I Xandra is telling me the story, and I'm like, in my head, I'm like, oh, podcast. I said, You're gonna be about next episode. And I think she thought I was just talking shit. I'm like, yeah, no. Lisa was like, so what's the story? I was like, nope, I'm not telling you. Oh, wait, you didn't tell her? Nope. I don't know. Oh my gosh, I do not know. And so there's an update. She told me there's an update since the last time we scrolled.
SPEAKER_01Oh, but the the update isn't really an update. The update is just like, are you fucking kidding me? Okay, all right.
SPEAKER_03So this episode of potluck, this is our maiden voyage of our new series. I hope it's a new series. When you bring the dish, and today's dish is your best worst. Oh, well, how did we say we're gonna say your worst first date, your first date? What worst date? Worst date. So I'd say it's your best worst date. Oh, yeah. This is yeah, yeah. Lisa, um, my co-host extraordinaire, doesn't have a story for us.
SPEAKER_00I've been married for 106 years.
SPEAKER_03It feels like it, dog years. So us as Sassa Sips, we as Sassa Sips decided Lisa's gonna be a judge of our stories.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna decide who has to, who's gonna be on dish duty tonight and who's gonna have to put their feet up on the coffee table and take a load off. Yes.
SPEAKER_03The winner is going one, no cleanup after the potluck. The rest of us losers, we got dish duties. Yep.
SPEAKER_01So excited. Well, if anybody could tap that, they deserve it. They deserve their photo.
SPEAKER_03I already know Xandria won. I mean, I don't even know, I don't know Amy's story. I know mine. I think Xandria's gonna win if it comes down to me as An.
SPEAKER_00Um all right, I'm gonna pick a number in my head. And whoever guesses the number goes first.
SPEAKER_03Well, you should like write it down, right?
SPEAKER_00Okay, I'll write it down.
SPEAKER_03We've never done this before. Can you tell? Okay, I got my number. A number between what and what?
SPEAKER_00Between what and ten. Sorry, one and ten.
SPEAKER_03Okay, I got mine. Alright, well just say 'em. Three. I can't see that. That's a three. Damn. This was not planned, I swear. No, it really wasn't, because I expected to go last. All right, you're up. Okay, so I had two, but I think I'm gonna go with this one. You have to go with just one. Yeah, I didn't know which one's gonna go. So first I meet this guy on I should have known, it was on the train. And I was leaving my homegirl's house. It's like crack of dawn. I'm sick as two shits, and you know how you're like all nasally and nasty and like snotty when you blow your nose, you can hear the mucus. It's disgusting. Dude trying to talk to me. I'm like, okay, here's my number, go away, leave me the fuck alone. Whatever. We actually we made a date. Okay, fine. I lived in Jersey at this time. He lives in Queens. Lived, how do I know? Well, can I give names? I remember his name. And this is like if I don't just I mean, I would say don't give a last name, but you can give a first name.
SPEAKER_02His first name is pretty safe.
SPEAKER_03This must have been about 26 years ago. Uh because it was pre-Christa, pre-air. All right. So guy's name is Marvin. He's like, okay, we go out to dinner over here. I'm like, fine. I no, we so we met up in the village area, because I didn't drive and I wasn't taking the fucking train to Queens. That wasn't happening. Um at the time I was insulted, but I'm like, fuck it, I got something from it. But he apparently he didn't like my outfit. I don't remember what I even had on. So we went shopping. I'm like, yes. So he brought me two outfits to wear. I'm like, this son of a bitch. But my mama didn't raise no fool. I'm like, all right, fine. I get some outfits out of this. I don't almost won't see him again. All right, shopping is done. We head over to Queens. He's like, I guess I'm gonna stop at my house. I'm like, okay, fine. He didn't give me any bad vibes. Can I ask his age? Roundabout. Okay, so if I'm about 18, 19, he must have been in his mid to late 20s, I think, at this time. Okay, maybe even early 30s. Like he was certificate. Okay, he was older. No bad vibes, just like baby douche bad vibes. So coming on strong, Mr. Marvin. Um, we'll go to his house. And he's wrapping up. You just met this guy and you went to his house. I was 18 and stupid. Okay, leave me the fuck alone.
SPEAKER_00Remind me, Matthew, the next time I see you.
SPEAKER_03I also carried my butterfly knife with me the time.
SPEAKER_00I don't care. Your mother taught you better than that.
SPEAKER_03And I know she did. She absolutely did, but she also taught me how to use my butterfly knife. Okay. Um, I don't know, Dan. I'm kind of surprised LP never either saw it or caught my weapon in my purse during checkout every day. Um so we're gonna go to Red Lobster. Fine, I don't care. It's food. It's just not being him though. It's me, him, and his mother. I'm like, what I wish I could see Daddy's face. I'm like, okay, fine. This is what we're doing now. I'm like, okay. So we go. He's sitting, I know, I refuse, even at this, at this age, I refuse to sit with my back to the door, and I refuse to be inside. So he said inside the booth, I sat on the outside, his mother sat across from me. Very nice woman. Everything's going great. And I was 18, I remember I was 18. And I don't think she ever asked me my age, but obviously I you could tell I was younger than he was. Conversation starts going to like you know, children, and I'm not thinking anything of it. She goes, Yeah, Marvin needs some. Marvin needs to give me grandchildren. He's like, he needs someone who's younger than him that can give that, you know, who's young and healthy, and give me lots of grandbabies.
SPEAKER_00I have so many questions.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Without sounding like an asshole, is is this like a cultural thing, maybe?
SPEAKER_03I mean, he was uh just regular black guy, American.
SPEAKER_00I know, just to it's not like okay, like arranged marriage culture, like I need grandchildren to run the farm kind of. I don't know. It's more like some child labor, let's fit them out. I don't know, right?
SPEAKER_03I'm like wife number six to give him the next. You gotta be part of the cult, either moving to Utah. I don't know what's going on. I don't know. I didn't get that. No, I just thought I just like I guess he was in his 30s and she wanted grandchildren, and she came on your date. Yes. And don't know this man from a hole in the wall, don't know this woman, and she wants me to you know be the mother of her grandchildren. Um insane.
SPEAKER_00Oh my gosh. Didn't you did he know she was planning to come, or did she surprise him too?
SPEAKER_03I got the feeling that it was kind of like pre-planned. I think he kind like I think at best, and I see this. I think at best, he was trying to kill two birds with one stone. Like, oh, I usually take my mom out, or I'm taking this girl out. Shit, let's take them both out. And that's the best case scenario. Worst case is like, oh, I bet this girl, mom, you're gonna like her. Let's let's see if it's gonna work, you know.
SPEAKER_00Like this tag keeping girl. Well, what do you know about her? Well, she rides the train early in the morning and she looks kind of like shit. Perfect. That's the one.
unknownOh my gosh.
SPEAKER_03All right. I mean, at 18, I was kind of hot. So I think even looking like shit, I was kind of so.
SPEAKER_00Did you have to wear those outfits to Red Lobster?
SPEAKER_03One of them, yes, because he bought the outfit and I changed into it. That's what I was just like where did you change? At the store. Like we went shopping. I don't, it was like one of the stores in the village. And I don't why can't I remember the name of the store? It's one of those hot stores like the 20-year-olds were shopping at all the time. Was it Forever 21? It was one of the other ones that we all that everyone shopped.
SPEAKER_00Or something like that.
SPEAKER_03No, not like one of the like hot girls' shopping. Urban outfitters, maybe something. I can't remember, it'll pop in my head. I remember I had a little cat logo on my sweater. I had like a cat log, you know, every place had their own little logo and they had the little cat, little kitten logo. I'm gonna have to remember it. It piss it's gonna piss me off.
SPEAKER_00So if somebody out there knows what it is, please tell us.
SPEAKER_03What's this? Abercrombie. It's like it was like anyway. We're like, you know, the cute little crop tops and the cute little the hot pants, you know, like look going on like 40 fucking years ago. Um come to the case.
SPEAKER_01Oh no, they didn't sell clothes back then. We had to make our own clothes when I was that age.
SPEAKER_03Did you go shopping at like at like the pink pussycat?
SPEAKER_00Maybe you were in the village because you don't even know.
SPEAKER_02Yes, it was.
SPEAKER_00But I'm not sure they sold clothes you could go to Red Lobster.
SPEAKER_03I used to buy I used to shop there too, but no. Um so either, like I said, either it was he wanted to kill two birds with one stone, or he's like, hey mom, think I got a breeder.
SPEAKER_00Let's make it so. But did you ever see him again after that? But the day's not over yet. Oh my god, something's more okay.
SPEAKER_03After dinner with the mom, we dropped mom off and we head back into the city and we go to a club. We went to the tunnel. Oh god. Everyone went, oh shit.
SPEAKER_01Um well, wait, because first of all, the the the outfit that you're wearing to red lobster should not be an outfit that's okay.
SPEAKER_03So um the out Okay, so it was kind of like and describe this outfit, please. Okay, so it was a burgundy short sleeve sweater, like a like a soft chenille kind, not chenille, but like a soft sweater, crop, but not like crop crop, like you know, like maybe an inch of skin. And I already had on a late 90s, to put it in perspective. So I already had on a pair of high heel boots.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_03And they were like, and the pants were like black, like flared. Okay. I could see stretch pants. You know, they were like dress pants, but they were stretchy and they're flared. So yeah. Because that's one of my favorite outfits, because I was like, oh, I like this outfit. Okay, you know, someone else is buying it. I want to buy what I like, right? Um, I don't really know, so it was not overdressed for red lobster, probably a little bit too casual for the club, but it wasn't bad, you know.
unknownOkay, okay.
SPEAKER_03Um, had a great time at the club. Of course, he was one, I feel like he was one of the oldest ones there, but that's besides the point. Um he drives me home. Everything's great until I'm like, Thank you for the great day. And he said, Are you gonna let me up? I was like, No, I don't think so. He throws a fucking kissy fit, he throws a temper tantrum. So I'm like, All right, bye. I said, Don't call me, I won't call you have a good life. So some weeks pass. He calls me, uh it just so happens I'm at home doing nothing. He says, So what you doing? I'm like, nothing, because I'm like, shit, it's Friday. I'm not doing anything. Maybe I kind of want to do something. Um, he's like, Hey, you want to come to Queens? I was like, You want to come pick me up to go to Queens? He's like, No, I just thought you on the train. I said, From Jersey? He was like, Yeah. So I hung up. I had balls back then. I don't know what happened to me. I got nice in my old age. So he calls me back. He said, Okay, I'm in my car on my way. I'm like, okay. So after that, you know, we went out to dinner and then he went his one way and we never saw each other again. Uh, I think the next time I saw him, I was actually at work. No, I was a hundred, he was probably downstairs. He was at the he was at the kids'. He was waiting in the car, probably. Um, I don't think he knew where I worked. And he's like, Oh, I'm like, oh, and I happened to be 100 buttons pregnant at the time. So, but he was upstairs shopping on the kids' floor, and I was like, shopping for one of yours? He's like, Yeah. And in my head, I'm like, oh, mom's happy. But he got one, but so yeah, he got a breeder, apparently. And so, Marvin, I hope you're doing well. You're not horrible, but you're a little weird. And I mean, he works for transit, so that had a lot to say about it. So there's that.
SPEAKER_00I have a friend who works for MTA. You want me to you want me to ask?
SPEAKER_04You want me to ask my friend? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00You'll have to give me the the last name later, and then I'll call my friend. I'll have to find out. I don't know, black eye marvin. So I get oh yeah. Well, that's in New York City.
SPEAKER_03That narrows it down. Like 26 years later, I think I did pretty good. Remember all that, you know.
SPEAKER_00I'm not, I'm not even saying it just didn't, I'm just saying I'm not sure how you'd like me to ask for Marvin. But wouldn't it be funny? Marvin.
SPEAKER_03But wouldn't it be funny?
SPEAKER_00Actually, I know two people who work for MTA. But wouldn't it be funny? But I was like, well, yeah, I kind of know someone. Like, that'd be funny. Okay. I know I know two people, and one of them, she knows everybody. So if if if anybody knows her, she knows her. So I'll ask. All right, that'd be cool. And it'll be an updated episode. Have have you ever tried to like search for him on social media just to see like how many kids he might have now? I think I might.
SPEAKER_03Like but I do want to look up what the fucking store that was, because it's really pissing me off.
SPEAKER_00All right. Who's the next victim? All right, who's the next victim? Let's pick another number. I got it.
SPEAKER_04Alright. No.
SPEAKER_00That's it.
SPEAKER_04All right.
SPEAKER_00Okay. So this is a good thing.
SPEAKER_02I'm excited to hear her story.
SPEAKER_00Me too.
SPEAKER_02I'm excited to hear her story. Agnes and her assistant.
SPEAKER_03She's the reason for this whole new series. Thank you.
SPEAKER_01Alright. So this begins with a little uh app called Facebook Dating. And that is where I met this individual. And I'll get I'll give his name because you know I'm not gonna give his last name. His name is Roger. Now, normally I would have swiped whichever way it is to say no, I don't know, on him because he lived in Massachusetts. And I was like, you know what? I haven't had any luck with anybody local. This guy sent me, wait, I meant to look up what he said to me because hold on, because I was like, you know what? He's saying all the right things, and if he is willing to like meet up with me, knowing I live in New York, and you know, he lives behind God's back, then okay, you know what? Fine. I remember the store. What was it?
SPEAKER_03Wet seal. Okay, what was it? It was wet seal.
SPEAKER_01Ah Wetseal, yes, okay.
SPEAKER_03I had to Google, but go ahead.
SPEAKER_01So I think he must have blocked me because I can't find his profile in my list of horrible people that I've talked to. The audacity. Don't you hate when like the weirdos would have block you? Like, you have something. He must have because he's not coming up in my matches anymore. But anyway, so his profile says like all these great things. I I I bake from scratch, I do this, I'm handy, I'm blah, blah, blah. I'm a romantic. I mean, all the all the good things you want to hear, right? I'm a gentleman, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And when he wrote to me, he was like, Listen, I know I live in Massachusetts and you live in New York, but I really loved your profile. I really would like to get to know you, you know. Okay, all right, sure. So I respond back, we start talking, and um, you know, he doesn't look like my type. I'm Gonna say that. Um, and still, I was like, well, he's not unattractive, but he just he's not my type, right? So I'm not I'm not really attracted to him, even though he's not unattractive. But I'm trying to be open, right? Trying not to be single forever, trying to try something new, right? Try something new, girl. Because what has worked for you already? Nothing. So talking to him, and he says that he got a promotion and he is moving to New Jersey. So I say, okay, well, that's better. So I'm gonna be in Jersey next week, looking for apartments. You know, we should meet up. All right, not a problem. So being very attentive, calling, FaceTiming, you know, in the game. He's in the game, not like some of the ones that you speak to once and never speak to again. Like he's following up, right? So I'm like, okay, this is going well. I say to him, you know what? I actually have a friend who's a realtor. Um, let me put you in touch because I'm thinking my friend could get business, this guy could find an apartment. Isn't wouldn't that be nice?
SPEAKER_00And you can get some information. So Lisa Brownsacks, at least. Exactly.
SPEAKER_01Lisa, Lisa, you uh hit the nail on the head with part of the follow-up. That's part of the follow-up.
SPEAKER_00Um, so my mind goes.
SPEAKER_01Info. I so I did introduce him, you know, gave him my friend's number, and they um, you know, he was meeting up with him and he was gonna take him to some places. And so he said, Well, where do you want to meet? Okay, well, you know what? I I'm not going that far. Like, I'm not going to New Jersey. I'll I will make the effort to go to Staten Island. Now that's an effort.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_01So I'm really, I'm really reaching with this one, but I will go to Staten Island. We can meet at I don't know Staten Island anything because who spends time there? I drive through there. So, but I know there's a mall, so we can meet at the mall, find some place to eat, and you know, chat, spend some time. Okay, fine. He's like, Oh, that's great. So I am he he meets up with my friend, and then my friend calls me later and he's like, So how well do you know this guy? And I was like, you know, I don't. Like, I'm going to meet him. You have met him before me. And he was like, Oh, okay, you know, I just wanted to know because if, you know, if you, you know, if you're you're referring him, you know, I would, you know, put my name out there for some places that will take him on my say so. And I was like, no, no, no, don't do that because I don't know him. I'm not referring him. I was just trying to throw some business your way, if at all possible, for you to get some business and for him to find an apartment. But no, I'm not vouching for him, I don't know him. And he was like, Oh, okay. And he asked me something else. Um, I can't remember what it was, but so he but he didn't say anything to me. He just said, you know, well, let me know how it goes. Um, he said, um, you know, I told him that I wasn't really attracted to him, and he's like, why? And I told him why. And he's like, Yeah, he is that. And I was like, Yeah. So um I said, but you know, it it'll be okay. It'll be fine. It is what it is, right? So I trekked my little happy ass out to Staten Island, and we get I get to the mall, it's so crowded over there because I guess there is nowhere else to go in Staten Island because everyone and their mother was at this mall.
SPEAKER_00I used to live there.
SPEAKER_01There is nowhere else. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00I mean, although had I known you back then, I would have told you somewhere else to go.
SPEAKER_01Oh but so anyway, I get there and I I'm calling, he's calling, we're calling, trying to figure out where he is, where I am, and then I spy a crispy cream on the outside of the mall. And I was like, Oh, so this is kind of recent. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00It just happened when I told you.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00Oh, because I'm like crispy cream over there. Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_01Yes, there's a crispy, there's a crispy cream there now, which I was very excited about.
SPEAKER_00Well, my mom still lives over there.
SPEAKER_01So tell her to go get some donuts.
SPEAKER_00No, no, no, no, no, just but I just mean it like so I'm still kind of aware of what's around me. Because I asked, yes.
SPEAKER_01Yes, so very new. Go there, and I we like he sees me, I see him. Oh hey, we hug, and I was just like, okay, yeah, no, this isn't gonna work. So, but I'm still I'm still in it, right? I'm still in it.
SPEAKER_00We, you know, I'm gonna give him a chance, but was it because of his look, the way he hugged you, his person, like what was it that made you feel like this isn't gonna work? Well, I'm sorry to interrupt. No, it's it's fine.
SPEAKER_01I just wasn't at I just wasn't attracted to him. I wasn't attracted to him. It just wasn't like the vibe. He just weren't. No, the no, the vibe wasn't there, it just wasn't there. Um, and the yeah, so we go inside the mall, and I am looking like, okay, where can we go eat? Where can we go eat? The one place that we had gone that I went into because I originally had to go to the bathroom so badly because I had been in traffic getting to behind God's back Staten Island that I had to pee so bad by the time we get there, all I could do was race inside this place to go to the bathroom. And it was, I don't know the name of it, but it was like a huge kind of sports bar place. And Tom Tommy's Tavern. Yes, I guess, yeah. And so it was like a thousand people in that place, and I was like, Well, we can't say that I know that. And so looking for someplace else to eat, and we're talking and walking, and then I it occurred to me that he was not saying anything when I was mentioning where we could go and eat, and I was like, Are you not hungry? And he was like, No, I um I'm not actually. I had Applebee's a little while ago before I was like, wait a second, what wait, why? Okay, you you went to Applebee's before the date, yeah, right. So that was weird, but now I'm annoyed, and I was like, okay, whatever. Now at that point, I should have just been like, dude, I'm going to the food court to eat because I haven't eaten. And I, but I didn't. I was just like, all right, whatever. Um, we we can just sit down here on this bench, right? So we sit down on a bench, and Lisa, since you're familiar with the mall, we were sitting outside of the Starbucks um in the mall. Yeah, okay, and I'm watching. I know that one. My friend Jen used to work at that one. Oh, I'm watching all the fucking weirdos around me, and I'm trying to listen to him, and he's talking about his family life, and I'm asking him questions, and we're talking about his siblings and his mom, and you know, there they seem to be a little bit of the deadbeat-ish kind of siblings that you might have um in a fucked up family, which okay, yeah, sure, everybody's got people, whatever. And then he says, Um, you know, I uh I left home at a really young age because I had to get out of there and I've been on my own. I'm taking care of myself, but I made a lot of bad choices. And I was like, oh, okay, yeah, well, people make bad choices when they're young, sure. And he says, Yeah, I had a really bad gambling addiction and I robbed six banks and I went to prison for a long time. Ave, at least in the face, Avi just chilling, chilling. And I said, wait, what? What what was that? You did you you said you went to prison? Is that yeah, I went to prison. I robbed I robbed six banks, you robbed six banks, so you robbed six banks, you robbed six banks, he robbed six banks, he said he robbed six banks, and so now my mind is racing, and I he robbed six banks and couldn't come all the way to Queens. He robbed six banks, they couldn't wait for listening, you're not listening. He robbed the banks because he has a gambling problem. Oh, great, and this was 20 years ago, so he doesn't have any more money. The bank robbing money is gone. There's no money for me, the money is gone.
SPEAKER_00So he got away with the money and still don't have the money.
SPEAKER_01So awesome. So now I am not I'm no longer listening to what he said. I am focused on my own internal trauma and the fact that I'm in Staten Island and the fact that this place is God forsake trauma. It closes at eight o'clock. Where do you have a mall that closes at eight o'clock on a Saturday night? So I am in some sort of hell, and all I can think is, I can't believe this is happening to me. Why is this happening to me? What did I do to deserve this? All I did was try to give this man a chance. And here I am behind God's back. I haven't eaten, I'm stuck here. This weirdo person is sitting across from me. I don't know what the hell is going on in their life that they're here, but I know why I'm here and I know I need to get the hell out. So he is talking about how he changed his life. He he, when I tuned back in, I had to reel myself back in to fix the focus. I was gone. I had been gone, and I was like, come back, come back, listen to the man. The man said that he um started a GED program and he taught the people and the convicts and he helped them, and then when he came out, he did some work, you know, to keep the kids from gambling and robbing. And he, you know, has found Jesus and turned his life around. And, you know, congratulations. That's wonderful. That's amazing. Good for you. Oh, all right. So listen, um, the mall's closing and we need to go. And so I am gonna go over to Krispy Kreme. Now I said, I'm gonna go to Krispy Kreme, and the man said, Okay, great, let's go. All right, he wants to go to Krispy Kreme too. Okay, sure, we can go to Krispy Kreme. So he goes back to his car, I go back to my car, and we go to Krispy Kre. We're standing online at the Krispy Kreme, and um we're still talking about I don't I don't know what now. And I get up to the counter and I say, Oh, are you gonna have any? Are you gonna get something? And he's like, No, I don't really like Krispy Kreme. So why the fuck are you here? Why are you here? But okay, all right. So I said to the woman, uh, I will have uh three donuts and a small coffee, please. And then he steps aside, and now I'm paying for my donuts and my coffee, and now I'm really pissed off because I'm sorry, you can't pay for my donuts, you don't offer to pay for my donuts and my coffee, you have dragged me all the way to hell, and you are not going to even offer to pay for my donuts so that I could be like, no, no, I got it, thank you. No, not even. He steps aside and waits for me to pay for my coffee and my donuts, and now I'm even more outraged than I was in hearing that he robbed six banks. That's the most offensive part of the whole that is that is the most offensive part to me. That is the most egregious part to me because, dude, I have been dating for a lot of years, and never in my life has anyone ever proceeded to step aside and allow me to pay for anything. Now, I'm not too good, I'm not saying that I am too good to pay for my coffee and my donuts, and I would have paid for my coffee and donuts, but the fact that he did not offer to pay for my coffee and my donuts, yeah, the intention. It's the intention that's important. Oh no, no, no, no, no, no, no. So now you are really, really on if you aren't already on the no fly list, you could definitely if you weren't already on the no fly list, you are definitely on the no fly list at this point because that I don't do. I don't. I'm sorry, I can't, I can't, I can't let that go. Can't let that go. I would be willing to even bypass the fact that you robbed six banks, sir. But paying, paying for something. No, I'm not doing that. I'm not so he walks me to my car and I give him a hug, and we say our goodbyes, and I managed to make it the way home in one piece without slamming my car into somebody because I was that angry. Um, yeah, so that's the story. Uh now I he did call me on my way home, uh, and I hadn't gotten home yet, and um that was nice of him, sure. And then the next day, though, yeah, this was Mother's Day weekend. So the next day was Mother's Day, and he called me, and I was busy and you know getting ready for uh my mom to come over, and I said, Oh, you know, let me call you back later, but I did not, and I guess he must have gotten the hint or found someone else to found someone else because which leads me to the part two of the story, is so I was speaking to my friend maybe a few weeks later.
SPEAKER_03And this is the this is the real estate agent, yeah.
SPEAKER_01The my real estate friend. I was speaking to him a few a few weeks later, and he was like, Yeah, did you whatever happened with the guy? And I was like, Yeah, no. Um, I said, You're gonna have to call me for this one. So he calls me, and I tell I proceed to tell him the story. He was like, Wow. He said, Okay, you know what, that that um all makes sense because you know what? He was out like going out on different dates that weekend. And I was like, wait a second. So you knew that he was going out with other people, and you didn't tell me, like, that's why the Applebee's story makes sense now because he had been out with somebody about it eating at Applebee's. Oh my goodness. This was just the icing on the cake that men stick together no matter what. Like, this is my friend. You don't know him, you know me, and you are not telling me all the tea that you have prior to me going out with this person. Like, what kind of shit is that?
SPEAKER_03And then wait, the guy, Roger, is okay with telling this complete stranger about his dating life and is a friend of yours, right? Insane, insane, insane.
SPEAKER_00They're both fired. Both of them what is the what is the age difference? Like, is he older or younger than you are? And it's like a give a take how much, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Like I'm just curious, relatively the same age. He might have been like maybe two years old. I I don't remember, but I want to say he was maybe a year or two older.
SPEAKER_00Well, the other reason I ask is because I feel like okay, if it's a young kid, you know, sometimes like younger kids, they're like stupid and cocky, and like older people maybe they feel like you know, fuck it, I'm an old man, I got nothing to lose. Like, yeah, but our age, you should be like holding your shit. You know what I mean? You should not be doing this behavior.
SPEAKER_01This yeah, I mean, it was it was fine that he was like, I didn't care that he was going out on dates, but it would have made more sense to me. And I also probably wouldn't have checked my ass to Staten Island. I would have been like, oh, you can you wanna date, that's fine, but you're gonna have to come to me. Right. But so I wouldn't have done that. So I was really annoyed at that point. Like, I can't believe you didn't tell me that shit. Like, you knew this and you didn't tell me. And he was like, you know, I don't even know that I believe that uh that he robbed the banks. I was like, Yeah, who would make that up? So then recently Facebook suggested that Roger and I be friends, and I was like, get the fuck out of here, Facebook. But now, but now I knew his last name. So I Googled that shit. Oh, and um I could not find any evidence of the bank robberies, but I found like an old, I couldn't even find it. The website was not no longer functioning, but the the Google part said like um it was some sort of um like whatever the town was, like their newsletter or whatever. And I guess all the good works that he's been doing after his prison sentence, they were talking about that. Like, you know, even after being incarcerated for nearly 20 years, Roger blah blah blah has managed to yada yada yada yada. So he was in prison for that length of time. And I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that it must have been for the bank robbing that he's got to.
SPEAKER_03I mean, listen, I actually had a date with a guy who before he even gave me his name and asked me for the date, he's like, listen, I was in jail, I was part of the Latin Kings, I did this, this, and this, and this. I was like, and listen, I grew up in Brooklyn. I'm like, shit, all right, whatever. I yeah, he put it out there. Kind of exciting I would have gone out with him. I would have gone out with him, and I did, and it was a great day that kind of we were vibing and all this stuff, and then I'm like, I finally got his last name. So I see Captain on my own, girl. There was shit that he did not tell me, and I was like, eh, put the brakes on, blocked, and called it a fucking day. We're not gonna go into what what I found. So you know what?
SPEAKER_00It sucks though, because that on one hand, right? First, on first impression, you're like, wow, that's okay. I respect you, you're putting it out there. Right. You're you're being you're respecting me by telling me, but I feel like we should have known better than to just believe him. I but you know, we oh, you're telling me the stuff that you want me to know, and you're hiding the other stuff, right? Right. The hiding stuff that makes not want to let you know where I live. Go in or let you know that I have 20 children around me.
SPEAKER_03Right. And that was the soft stuff. Well, he told me we were the easy stuff to deal with, uh right. But that being said, so yeah, bank robbery, that might have been the easy stuff. You don't know what he actually went for. So give me his last name after we go offline, and I'll do digging. I got you because it may be something more.
SPEAKER_00I'm about to give you a list of just finding a couple. I got you. I might I don't know if I never thought of this before. Yeah, it doesn't matter.
SPEAKER_01Their name is I kind of want to know the the the any future endeavors, I will pass along. This one, it so doesn't matter because pass them on. I pass them. Yeah, it's it's never, it's never gonna happen. He made you go to Staten Island.
SPEAKER_03He did. That on its own deserves repercussions.
SPEAKER_00I lived in Staten Island for like a decade and I didn't want to go there.
SPEAKER_02So that Staten Island parking lot is real.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, and by the parking lot, she means the SIE. We go to Staten Island parking lot.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, no reason for the traffic whatsoever. As soon as I hit Staten Island, I know I'm stuck. Like um on my way back from wherever I'm coming. Yes. And I have to get through there. Where are you, Staten Island? How long are you gonna be there for the rest of my life?
SPEAKER_00We live in Jersey now, and my husband commutes into the city for work, not every day, but like most days. And he's like, Oh my god, it's so much easier commuting from here than from Staten Island. It's faster, it's easier. And I'm like, that's really fucking sad. That you're going from one borough to the next, but it's easier from Jersey. From another state. And it's not like we're in Jersey City, where it's like, oh, right through the tunnel or path train. I mean, we're in central Jersey, but still a bus ride, but it's like, no, he's like, no, it's easy. Even my dad who lives in Yonkers will come here and be like, oh, it's so easy. I'm like, that's sad. Everybody hates Staten Island.
SPEAKER_02Whenever I go visit, I avoid crossing through Staten Island. I avoid the Verenzana Rongos. I'd rather cut through the Holland Tunnel and then take the turnpike down. So much easier.
SPEAKER_03That's bananas. I don't know. If I ever move back to New York, I'm never driving again.
SPEAKER_00No, you're just gonna come kick these people out and move into their house.
SPEAKER_03By their house, okay.
SPEAKER_00And that's it. You don't you don't need to drive. You just you have me, and then the kids are gonna be driving by then. So you'll just right?
SPEAKER_03I mean, I'll keep my I'll keep mine. I like I like my nice car. I love my baby. I love her. This is my fifth wife.
SPEAKER_00This is nice car that I want.
SPEAKER_03Cassandria knows. I have this. This is my fifth CRV. I love her. You know what?
SPEAKER_01I gave up. I gave up my CRVs. I did, I did. I went to Hyundai, and quite frankly, I'll never go back. My Hyundai, I love this car so much. Sounds amazing.
SPEAKER_00That's like my aunt has. She loves it.
SPEAKER_01I love that car so much. I never thought I would like another car the way I like my CRVs, but I'll never go back. This car is amazing.
SPEAKER_03Dit chat. I mean, honestly, I probably won't leave my CRV because she like, and people at work were like, you should get the no, no, no.
SPEAKER_00She works for a TV dealership. I'm like, fuck no.
SPEAKER_03Whatever you're saying, no.
SPEAKER_00She's up in her Honda.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, with my Honda plate. Yeah. I'm like, no, why would I, why would I trade this bitch in? And no matter what year I trade in it, I always have positive equity. Why the hell would I get rid of that for this crap? That when I drive off the lot, it's now worth half of what it was worth five seconds. No, get the fuck out of here. I just ask the phones. I don't want this shit. My heart, like I feel so I hate to say that your story gave us a whole new like opportunity, but you gave us a whole new opportunity.
SPEAKER_00I have I have I have another follow-up question.
SPEAKER_03Yes. We have a lot of follow-up questions. Oh, and no, it's like a story. Because of the story.
SPEAKER_00Okay. No, no, well, for right now, I just I have one. I have one follow-up question, Agnes. You said that this is the follow-up you got from your friend, your real estate friend. How long ago was the follow-up?
SPEAKER_01Um, it was maybe it was a couple of weeks after that.
SPEAKER_00Like, because he and then the date happened like Mother's Day weekend.
SPEAKER_01The the date happened Mother's Day weekend, the follow-up happened maybe like three or four three weeks after that, I guess.
SPEAKER_00Okay. All right. So this is like super, super recent, and that sucks that that your your so-called friend sat on that information for a few weeks.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I mean, I guess he didn't think that maybe he didn't want to ruin anything for me. Like, if it was gonna be something, I you know, why put his two cents into it if, you know, this ended up being like, you know, the love of my life? If I said, oh, it was great and we're dating and we're falling in love, you know. So I get that piece of it. You know, he didn't want to ruin anything, but at the same time, I'm like, dude, no, you you know something, you say something, something.
SPEAKER_00Did he run any financial background checks on the guy?
SPEAKER_01He did, but I didn't even go there. It didn't matter.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, not that I'm I'm trying to be like, oh, well, is he loaded, but like at least he's here. No, no, he he alluded to legit.
SPEAKER_01Um, he alluded to the fact that maybe his credit wasn't that great because he's like, you know, makes sense because he said he was having a tough time finding something, and um, you know, but I I think that it was more of what Roger wanted to spend versus maybe what he had to spend because he was getting um allegedly he was getting like moving expenses from his company, um, which I believe because if they want you to come work there, they want you to move, they like you know, companies will relocate you. So he had his moving expenses that were being covered, and um, he was getting a raise. So I don't know that you know he he didn't have the money, he just didn't seem to want to spend the money. And New Jersey rent and Massachusetts rent, I think are two very different things. So New Jersey, yeah.
SPEAKER_00New Jersey actually has the highest cost of living, right?
SPEAKER_01He had a huge apartment in Massachusetts, and you know, now he's looking at these little apartments that they want, like, you know, $2,300 for a month, you know.
SPEAKER_00For um don't tell Agnes that.
SPEAKER_03Every time she says Lisa wants me to move back home, and I'm gonna go.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, no, no, wait, hold on, hold on, hold on. Stop. You have a chronic illness, you qualify for disability. Okay. Okay. My friend lives in apartments for low income. Disability equals low income. Her apartment, she has a three-bedroom apart apartment with a little balcony, parking. It's beautiful. I have a qualified. I have a three-bedroom townhouse with a basement.
SPEAKER_03Yes, it was $1,100.
SPEAKER_01That's she's not going to leave her babies. So unless I then I have my grandbabies. Right. My daughter, my baby.
SPEAKER_00Now, if she wants to use that as an excuse, then fine. But the first thing that she always says is three-bedroom townhouse. See, it's not, it's not her babies, it's her apartment. It's a gift. No, well, we'll take. Listen, you let Krista know she got one too. That's it.
SPEAKER_03Honestly, if I had found something comfortable, you got more babysitters here. If I okay, honestly, if something was like a lot better and I could swing it, Krista and the babies would actually be like tied up in the back of my car and we're driving. So that's not a point. I mean, she wouldn't have an option because I'm she needs me.
SPEAKER_00So she's like, And don't make me have to put on blast, the non-babysitter issue you have over there, okay? And lack of support. Because over here, even my kids would be like, Yeah, we'll watch your kids.
SPEAKER_03They haven't washed them yet, you know. They're two boys.
SPEAKER_00It doesn't matter.
SPEAKER_02I'll watch away over here. The section eight application opened up, and you would be highly qualified for that application as well.
SPEAKER_03I want a three-bedroom townhouse, the backyard, and a basement.
SPEAKER_02And you'll get it 1100. And you'll get it. You can probably pay less if you especially get section eight. And it probably could. Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_00Mm-hmm. She's just being stubborn. She's blaming it on her apartment and then her and then her daughter. And then it's not even, oh, I can't leave my babies. It's I have a nice apartment. I love my house. Yeah, see?
SPEAKER_03I love my house. I do love it. But it is in Wisconsin. And then listen, in Wisconsin standards, I'm 35 years old. I don't give a fuck. How did you get to Wisconsin from New York? My aunt, my mother's sister, she lived here with you know with her family. Um, my mother had a stroke. I was about to go on disability. I was waiting for this because New York disability was giving me a fucking, like working, trying to get it on the East Coast is fucking crazy. Mother had that last stroke. I'm like, you know what? Fuck it. So day one, I was like, you know what? We're gonna move two weeks later. I was on my my um the moving truck was already gone. I was set. So we moved out here. It was a lower cost of living, family support. My ass. Um, to be fair, I got my disability like that with the judge out here. I learned how to drive. I'm 10 years younger. Um, so it wasn't it wasn't bad. It wasn't a bad move. It was the best move of the time. It worked out better because getting disability and I was still living in the east coast, I would probably I couldn't afford a box on Fifth Avenue.
SPEAKER_02Well, you could probably be able to transfer that now.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah, absolutely. No, one thing, because it's federal. Actually, I can actually move out the country and come back and forth and still get my disability. So, yeah. Actually, I was looking at my stubborn. She's being annoying.
SPEAKER_00I am. We're just gonna have to go over there. It's only a 14-hour drive. We're gonna have to go over there, just grab them all, put them in the car, and that's it. And then that's it.
SPEAKER_01Wisconsin.
SPEAKER_00I can ask you.
SPEAKER_01Get out of here.
SPEAKER_00See?
SPEAKER_01I know. I'm ready to hear Amy's story.
SPEAKER_00You guys, if you are enjoying this episode and these stories, use that text us link in our show notes to send us yours. We want to hear your words updates. And if you do, add it, tell us what can happen.

SPEAKER_00Use that button, people.
SPEAKER_03She said text us.
SPEAKER_02Okay, Amy. All right, so I'm gonna give you ladies a choice because I have two really bananas. Um, so you'll get to choose either P or R. I'll give you the names: either Peter or Robert. I say Peter or Robert. One of those two. There's three of you, so the voting, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Xandria. Uh Robert sounds like a fuck boy, so I'm gonna go Robert.
SPEAKER_00Okay, let's go Robert.
SPEAKER_03I think I'm Peter, I thought Peter, and like for Peter. So I'm like, okay, that's not like an interesting story.
SPEAKER_02All right, so Robert's story. All right, so in it's actually kind of sort of very not similar to Xandria, but it's kind of going down the same alleyway. So I met him through MySpace. Oh exactly. We're gonna pull this back. Met him through MySpace, which is just like back in the days with mi gente and all of that. Um, yeah, mi gente is where I met my baby daddy. Um, but yeah, through MySpace and met him, and we had a good rapport going back and forth, and then eventually we're like, oh well, let's you know, meet up. He was in the Bronx, I was in the Bronx at the time as well. And um, so it got time. I I met up with him at a restaurant in the Bronx, and you know, so far everything's going to be the guy was really, really good looking, a lot shorter than I uh than he looked in his pictures, and pictures he looked kind of tall. He literally was my same height. I was just like a little bit of a turnoff for me, you know. Short people like big things. Um and I was like, all right, we'll overlook that because he was like really, really cute, and you know, he was a nobody, too. And um, so we went to the restaurant and had a really good time, you know. And and then once the conversation started, I'm asking him questions, but literally 90% of the conversation was all about him. Barely any questions coming my way. So I'm starting to see a few little, you know, narcissistic uh red flags coming up. Um, yeah, so we get towards the end of the dinner. Um, we went to a nice little Cuban restaurant, and um, so we asked for the check, and the waiter comes over, and then he takes the check and he slides it over to me. What? And I'm like, and I looked at him, yeah. Xandria. Xandry's like all it. Yeah, he slides the check over to me, and I said, and I looked at him and I said, Okay. Um, and so then he's just like, Yeah, he's just like, I love the fact that you know you're a teacher and you know, you're doing so many great things. He's just like, I love you know dating nowadays because you know, women are so empowered and blah blah blah, you know, and so women pay for the checks. I'll pay for mine. I was and I was just like, you know what, I'll pay for my half. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_00But who who said okay, all right. I mean, uh listen, I gotta interrupt here because my my father pretty much raised us. Amy knows my father. My father didn't raise us to be like waiting for a man to do correct whatever, but my father also raised us then vita de paga. Like you invite, you pay. So that's it. Like, you don't you don't invite somebody to a date and then expect them to pay for you.
SPEAKER_02Well, like apparently, this person, he certainly did. And and I'm just like looking at him like, um, I'll pay for my house. I said, because you know, I don't need you again, you know, it's I was raised the same way. It can be that better. Yeah, but I mean, we we mutually put this whatever together. But I'm just like, you know, 50-50. I'm just but but it was just it completely threw me off. And I'm just like, okay, but then the excuses that he gave was just, you know, again, the cherry on top. He's just like, yeah, because you know, you're you're you're you have your master's degree, you're a teacher, and this and this and that, and like buttering me up. I'm a teacher, I'm not Rockefeller.
unknownI know.
SPEAKER_01I don't see my givea fuck. I don't give a fuck.
SPEAKER_02Sorry. No, but he's like, but he's like, you're independent, you got your own place, you have your own car. And I'm just like, yes, I do. What does that have to do with the price of milk in freaking Wisconsin? You know, like forget about it. So, you know, listen, I I offered to pay for half of the check, and and this it became a thing. And the waiter comes over to collect the money, and I'm just like, we're not ready yet.
SPEAKER_01So wait a second, wait a second. You you offered to pay for your half, and he said what?
SPEAKER_02That's what he was saying. He was just like, no, he's like, Don't worry about it. He's like, You'll do it this time, and then I'll catch you on the next one. And I'm just like, absolutely not. And I'm like, absolutely not in the back of my head. I'm like, there will not be a next one. I'm just like, so listen, like we sat there for literally almost half an hour just trying to finish.
SPEAKER_00Yes, and I don't know how you didn't throw the money on the table and walk out.
SPEAKER_02So that's eventually what I wound up doing. I wound up taking out Ash. I put my, you know, for however much was mine plus the 10th. I told the way that this gentleman is going to give you his half of the money. This is my half of the money. I walked out, you know. The dude the next day, very next day, he calls me. And he's just like, so when are we going out again? I'm like, excuse me.
SPEAKER_03Excuse me, wait, wait, wait. I can't when are we going out again?
SPEAKER_02Yes, I'm just like, um, that is not happening. He's just like, no, and completely like disillusioned, like, just I don't even know what happened there, like a total brain fart. He continued, and I'm like, listen, this is he's like, but you know, we can be friends, we can go like listen, we're never going out. I'm like, that's not happening. All right. Eventually I wound up blocking and deleting him, right? And but guess what? Like about two, three years ago, guess what pops up? This is why I started laughing, Xandry, when you said that, because it pops up on my list as a recommended friend. It was him. Mind you, this happened over 50, about 15, 15, 16 years ago when that happened. And out of all he's been trying to hit me up on Facebook. I'm like, Delete, delete. I'm sending me friend requests, and I'm like, absolutely not. Absolutely not. He's a nurse now, he makes good money and all of this stuff. And I'm just like, he's still gonna expect you to pay. Hello, no, thank you. Um, Facebook.
SPEAKER_00I swear to god, Facebook has jokes when they recommend people when I have to do it.
SPEAKER_01Because they were looking for you because they when they some of the people messy.
SPEAKER_00Some of the people that Facebook recommends are people that I'd like to find the right address for. Agnes knows what I'm talking about, but not people I want to be friends with. But no, we could guess.
SPEAKER_03I would definitely I would not pay my rent to fly out there to take a ride with you. If we found the right house. Well, listen, but listen, social media is different than it was before. I got skilled.
SPEAKER_00We could, I could yeah, but but like I don't want to be friends with this person. People you may know. Friend suggestions. No, thank you. And I'm sorry, no, I have no interest.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I can I seek have a motherfucker. I will find them across the country and look at their records.
SPEAKER_02And he keeps like, you know, you can block and delete, but well, at the time, I didn't have a black band delete on Facebook because we were never Facebook friends. This was way back in you know, right, the age of dinosaurs and whatnot. But I'm just like, out of all people, and he jumps into my messenger, he's just like, Oh my gosh, I can't believe I found you. You're even more beautiful than before, and all this and that. Let's go, let's catch up. And I'm just like, ew, I'm just like, block, report, delete. I'm like, all of it, get out of you, yeah, all of it. The audacity, seriously. What do we always say?
SPEAKER_03What does a broken always have? The audacity. That's what they audacity.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I'm just saying, not even like a half, and I don't even know what happened that day, whether he paid his bill or whether he was washing dishes.
SPEAKER_00I have no idea. I kind of want to know that. Like, but I wasn't waiting around to find out. Listen, the next the next time he sends you a message on it on Facebook, you should just ask him, hey, by the way, what did happen?
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Like, did you wind up paying for your half of the bill or were you in the back cleaning dishes?
SPEAKER_00Is that why you're calling me now? Because you you want to refund?
SPEAKER_02Oh, Jesus. Okay.
SPEAKER_03He would have he would have been the type to cat like to like send you uh like a Venmo request. Like, can I have half of the money, please? Like, that's the type that I bet he does that not to girls. He probably like Venmos, I need the money for my drink because I didn't get any from you. Like, here's the money I spent on you. I didn't that's terrible. Do they see remember that guy, the Chicago guy, the yacht guy? Yeah, weirdo. He wanted we was a meetup, and you want to meet up like 10 o'clock at night. We didn't meet up.
SPEAKER_00You met him on a dating app and you started talking. You you know, you hit it off talking.
SPEAKER_03The short version of this dating app talking. He wanted to meet up because he was off. I was off. Great. So I'm like, what time? He's like, oh, 10 o'clock. I'm like, at night. In Chicago. In Chicago. I said, listen. Which is which is like an hour away from her. I said, you know what? In theory, okay, but by the time I get back home, it's gonna be like three o'clock in the morning. Can we do another day? He goes, Well, you could sleep over. I was just like, that's not that kind of party. He's like, Oh, you're playing games. Fuck like I was like, Oh, I felt dirty. I went, I took, I need a shower. For some reason, I felt dirty. He because he's assumed, like, oh, you're just playing games now.
SPEAKER_00I'm like, I was like, Oh, I'm gonna get a phone call. Oh from Jay.
SPEAKER_03Wait, he wasn't even a booty call. Yes, I didn't even meet him. We never even met each other yet. He had not even right, like I can I'm down with the booty call, but at least a first thing.
SPEAKER_00At least let me make sure I like you first, right? Right, that's neat, at least once. Agnes goes on a date once, and she had told me she was like, Oh, I have a date, so and so, whatever. Okay, right, no problem. I get a phone call from her, I answer, and I can't all that guy from years ago. Oh, she's not speaking. All I hear is like muffled sounds, and I can hear like I can't really hear the conversation, but I can hear that they're speaking. And I'm like, oh my god, is she in trouble?
SPEAKER_02And I'm kidnapped, is she in that trouble?
SPEAKER_00Like a dumbass. My ass is still on the phone listening, trying to hear like I butt I butt called her. She butt called me. Was a good thing because I went to go pick up and I after the day was going fine, everything was fine.
SPEAKER_03Clean and after I got done with them, I was I want to go call her and let her know. I'm like, how is she on the phone already?
SPEAKER_00I stayed on the phone. I didn't know. I thought maybe she's gonna be in trouble or like she needed, like you know, and I'm just like, I don't know, I'll stay on the phone. I don't know. Let me tell you about a body, right? Then then there's times where you had to deal with. I'm trying to be one a certain dun dump dunum, and I'm like, let me get the address of where you're going. And if I don't hear from you in 10 minutes, I'm calling the cops.
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_00Like, hello, Wisconsin police. I need you to come pick up that body.
SPEAKER_03I don't know where it is, but I know there's gonna be a body.
SPEAKER_00I'm like, where what is the address of where you're going? And I'm like, hear from you in 10 minutes. Otherwise, I swear to God, I'm calling the cops.
SPEAKER_03I am that friend. But look, I gotta say, it's kind of fun now. Like date, I don't say fun dating, but I feel better dating here. Only because the gun laws are a little bit more free and I can carry conceal. And I do. Uh so I feel a little bit better about I still do like public meetings, at least if this is where I'm gonna be at. I still do all that, but I'm more afraid about getting blood in my car or bullets because the CRV is precious.
SPEAKER_00She does. Yeah, I mean there's leather seats now, so it's easier to clean it. So your your car is red, so if it's on the outside, it might match. Good point. Yes, there's that. Don't get it inside.
SPEAKER_02No, like a little shower curtain liner in the car. Ah, do the dexter move.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I'm loving it.
SPEAKER_02Recycle reduce reusing recycle.
SPEAKER_03There you go. I'm gonna keep that in my like I have like a basket, like that winter, like just in case that extra coat, all the supplies in the back of my car. I'm gonna add a shit litter to that bitch. Kitty litter, yeah, litter.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, a little lime for the smell. We're good. I got some badge. I'm going to thank you. We need to stop before the CIA is like, um, have you heard about this podcast? We need to disclaimer.
SPEAKER_03We are just joking. We should have a disclaimer before every episode. Um, I've got some real doozies. Well, Lisa. I've had, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I don't have any.
SPEAKER_01So that's but I have I mean so many consider yourself lucky, girl.
SPEAKER_00I think I need to get a divorce so I could go on a date.
SPEAKER_01Like, you know, it is so hard, and I don't know why it's so hard. It's just I wish that we could take dating back to the way it was in the 90s. Or somebody had a friend, nobody's got a friend anymore. Nobody's got, you know, a brother, an uncle, a cousin, nobody's got anybody anymore that they are willing to introduce you to and say, hey, I can vouch for this person. He is the nice man, he is not going to murder you. You should go out with him. There's none of that. Nobody has anybody to introduce you to anymore. You are left to the devices of the internet where any fucking weirdo, strange old, axe murderer, slash, you know, psychopath is out there waiting for you. And that's all you have to go on these days.
SPEAKER_02I have to give you props, Sandria. You and Agnes, because I'm gonna tell you something right now. My son is now 13. That was probably the last time I dated. I refuse. I refuse.
SPEAKER_03I just started dating with my when my daughter got 18. I like my daughter was like on her own, like you know, doing her own thing. That's when I I just started dating. Maybe my mother passed away two years ago. I just started dating like a year and a half ago. Because I'm like, okay, I guess I'll try now. And I'm like, uh-uh, uh.
SPEAKER_00I told Agnes, this is my plan for later in life. If I am ever single, if I find myself single, what else?
SPEAKER_03Right?
SPEAKER_00This this is my plan, is that I plan to date a married man. That's my plan at this point right now. I kind of want to be that bitch. I convince you. I want to be I convince you. And let me hold on before you judge, let me tell you the reasons. It's a good reasons. I don't want anything else but my needs met. I want him to satisfy me and go home. I want him to not bring me flowers, I want him to not accompany me to weddings, I want him to not expect anything from me. And if he gets out of hand, I'm gonna be like, don't make me have to tell your wife.
SPEAKER_03Don't I don't want no love, no like, go home. You might not even kiss me in the mouth. Like, I'm I'm straight from your woman at this point.
SPEAKER_00No, I just want to save money on batteries, okay? Just go home. If you get out of hand, I'm gonna tell your wife. You want to buy flowers? That's wonderful. Give them to your wife. I don't want them. I want to sleep in the bed with my dog who I see is hanging out with Amy, where she was cheating on me.
SPEAKER_02She's right there.
SPEAKER_00She's right there. So that's it. That's my plan. And Agnes is like, actually, that makes a lot of sense. I was like, You see, I don't want to break up a marriage, I just want him to practice with me and then go home. That's it.
SPEAKER_02You just hit um, you just kind of sort of touched upon the other story that y'all ladies didn't choose.
SPEAKER_00Oh, see, Peter. I said I said Peter. All right, let's hear it. Let's hear it. Peter, let me tell you about Peter.
SPEAKER_02So I've already made my decision anyway.
SPEAKER_00So go ahead.
SPEAKER_02I was working at the Java Center. This no internet, no nothing. This was in person. There was a construction site across the street. Every day I would pass by cutie. Cute construction worker every day, passing by. Hey mamita, whatever, whatever, you know, kicking it to me. And I'm just like, thanks, cute. I kept going, ignored him. After a few days, I'm just like, you know, we start talking. Eventually, we exchanged numbers. We went out on a few dates. Right. Great kisser, great, you know, everything. So one day he invites me over to Queens to his house. So I said, you know, we had already, it had been already like a month or so. Went over to the house, and I'm giving you the condensed version. So we're sitting on the sofa, we're kissing, things are getting hot and heavy, and this chick walks in. It was his wife. I told you Pete it was a good story. And then she I think I've heard the story. Yes, I've told you that story. So then she turns to him and she tells him, Wow, she's even more beautiful than you told than you mentioned.
SPEAKER_03Hold the fuck up.
SPEAKER_04I said, I know. Amy wins, Amy wins, Amy wins.
SPEAKER_03Okay, she's okay. What else happened? At this point, you did what at this point? Do you finish?
SPEAKER_02Do you leave? So at this point, I'm like in shock. Like, what the hell is going on? And he's just like, no, me and my wife may have an open marriage, and you know, I have to fill her fantasy of having a melancholy with another kind, and this was my turn, and she wants to fulfill my fantasy of having sex with two women. Listen, let me just tell you the girl.
SPEAKER_04I wish I could see her face.
SPEAKER_02Let me tell you, the girl dropped that gorgeous. She was like a model, beautiful. Okay, not an ounce of anything on her. Beautiful, beautiful. And I'm just there, like, what the hell do I do? I'm the best motherfucking. I'm out of West motherfuck. Like, what the hell do I do? Okay, we're just the same. The three of us had fun.
SPEAKER_04I was about to say, did you do it? Did you do it?
SPEAKER_02You better have.
SPEAKER_00Like, that's the only exception.
SPEAKER_02After that, I was like, but after that, I was done. You know, I'm just saying only right answer. That's it. You know what I mean? Oh my god, oh my god.
unknownYeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03I mean, sorry, I made my decision before this story, but listen, I'm gonna tell you, I gotta tell you, I told you Peter was gonna be the good story because you know Peter. Peter, I know I should have known.
SPEAKER_00Umber because the the Rob that I knew was a fuck boy, and somebody who was like my friend, he sent her to a mental institution because she fucking went crazy after being with him. So I was like, Robert gotta be a good story.
SPEAKER_02Oh my gosh. Did you text the pictures of Robert?
SPEAKER_01Did you see him after? Like, because he still worked at the construction by no, no, thankful, thankfully, I did it.
SPEAKER_02But after that, I separatized because I was just like, Yeah, we don't want another repeated episode of this. But I was just like, you know, I think in part, I you know, I I was nervous. I was in a place where I because I didn't even try at that point, I wasn't even driving. I don't think I even had my driver's license then. Okay, so I'm out in freaking West Bumblef. And I'm just like, okay, what happens if I say no? You know, I'm just like, but um no, but you say yes, and then you got a story for the rest of your life.
SPEAKER_01Hello.
SPEAKER_02But yeah, I thankfully after that I didn't see him anymore. But um, yeah, I was just like, nope, uh, after this, we can't.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, that's awesome. That's awesome. That's a good that's a good story. That's a good story. Um I'm I'm happy with that one. I'm I'm happy.
SPEAKER_02Listen, at least that one had a happy ending, you know. They could simply end literally.
SPEAKER_00I'm we hope. We don't know. She just said fun, she didn't say happy ending. She said a good time.
SPEAKER_03I mean, unless I'm having a good time, we're not having a good time.
SPEAKER_02Listen, it was a first experience, but me, I was the only newbie there. Apparently, they weren't, but um, but it was a good experience.
SPEAKER_01I probably ran that story on all the women. This is true, and I'm gonna tell her that this is a this is true, that's a really good story.
SPEAKER_03You know, but it's a great story, and it's consensual. Everyone's just like it was rocking with it. Yeah, that's a wonderful I mean the one I had, they end up breaking up because they kept getting because she thought that he was sleeping with me on the side, and like I said, I've never seen this man.
SPEAKER_01But the funny thing is, I was messing with her on the side, so I don't know why she broke up with good for the goose is not always good for the gander, but Sandra, you know the person. Oh, wait a second. Oh, I know. Well, I'm gonna go.
SPEAKER_00But you know the accusations usually come from like but to be fair, also having with another she was cheating with on him with another dude, you know. There, and there it is.
SPEAKER_03That's what it was because he and I was so incestuous, wasn't it?
SPEAKER_01I mean, except for me, I I was probably the only person not doing anything with anybody, but um just all around the board, all across the board.
SPEAKER_03It was it and yeah, and for the most part it was fun because everyone kept it professional at work for the most part, you know, it was cool, it was fun, and people, you know, it didn't cross over much, except when there was like sexual harassment issues, but that's besides the point. That's the point.
SPEAKER_01Amy wins, Amy wins.
SPEAKER_00Well, I I have to make a decision, and I think that um Agnes and I are doing dishes tonight.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, me, yeah. I think that Andrea and Amy are tied for first place.
SPEAKER_00I'm I'm not even gonna choose between you guys.
SPEAKER_03No, I can I concur, I concur about that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you and I are doing dishes, and not that your story wasn't good, but you and I are doing dishes.
SPEAKER_03No, I'm listening, I cannot beat no, no, no, I already knew.
SPEAKER_00No, but also I want to smack you for going to the guy's house. I was 18 is stupid, okay? I don't care. You might do it better.
SPEAKER_03See, and that's also the same age I had the threesome too. 18 was a pretty good for me. Hold on. Yeah, I wasandria.
SPEAKER_00Have you ever met Mona? Had you had you ever met her? My mother?
SPEAKER_01Oh no, no, unless you meet her in old navy at some point, I'm sure.
SPEAKER_00You don't know. Uh okay, Agnes. But Xandria knows that my mother called and curse out Robin. Well, then that's because she knows of them. Okay.
SPEAKER_01I know, I know Agnes's mother was a you don't mess with her type. You don't know.
SPEAKER_00Right. So the fact that you did that shit and you grew up in your mother's house.
SPEAKER_03I also yeah, shut the fuck up, Lisa. I was stupid. Because I'm not wrong. You're not wrong, but uh I mean, in hindsight, yeah, it was stupid, but at the time there was no butt. He really gave like he gave up, he didn't give off like I'm gonna go in your basement. Like, there was plenty of people that I saw. I'm like, yeah, no, I'm not fucking with you. This guy was just like, I didn't he just want he just wanted a wife and children.
SPEAKER_00And you know and his mother along on the date.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, and his mother along that part, that's the crazy part.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_01That's brought his mother to the date.
SPEAKER_02No, I've never had that situation.
SPEAKER_00I already knew Andrew was gonna be. Hold on a second. Having you had that that that experience twice, didn't the guy bring his mother to Chicago? Oh, that was different.
SPEAKER_03It wasn't a date, like he was just a friend. No, no, no, no. Hold on, it wasn't it wasn't a date. I'm sorry. No, it wasn't a friend of mine. But he brought his mother. Okay, there was a a friend, like a friends of benefits, we're mostly friends.
SPEAKER_00Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_03They were in Chicago. He his him and his mother were in Chicago for a wedding, and they're like, hey, we're gonna be in Chicago, you know, we're gonna be for a wedding. Or do you know we were thinking about something by no Wisconsin spent a couple days over there? Sure. So it wasn't like he was coming to see me with his mom. They were in the area, and he's like, Hey, let's hang out.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, but he was telling you she and he brought his mom to dinner.
SPEAKER_03We were all going out hanging out. She had her own room. I had and he had his own room. So it wasn't like it was a date, it was just it wasn't a date.
SPEAKER_01Still a little weird.
SPEAKER_03That's still a little weird. Thank you. It was a little weird. That's still a little weird. Also, when you're going, like she knew that his her grown ass son wasn't a fucking virgin. No, I wasn't.
SPEAKER_00Of course not, but let him take the bitch he's fucking to dinner by himself.
SPEAKER_01That's weird. It's still weird, I was showing them around service, let them go out.
SPEAKER_03I was showing them actually, it normally we it wasn't like we're dinner. We were actually spending the whole day together showing them around like the different sites. It wasn't like let's go on a date with you and your mom. We spent the whole day together, showing them around. It's weird, Agnes.
SPEAKER_01It's weird.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I know.
SPEAKER_01It's weird.
SPEAKER_03Okay, but that wasn't as weird. I just not as weird. No, maybe the part is I just at this point I was never gonna see her again, so I really didn't give two fucks what she thought about me. There's that.
SPEAKER_01I'm like, no, no, that's not what she thought about you. It's weird on her part. Like, why are you going to this? Like, what?
SPEAKER_00Right. Exactly. Why are you inviting yourself and saying yes, I would like to go? Like, no, no, no, no, you guys have fun. Thank you. Yeah, but no, weird.
SPEAKER_03Well, I don't know what's in her head or in his head. I mean, there's also a man who has like nothing but female friends, whether he sticks with them or not. All he has are female friends, so it might have been like it's par off the course with him, first, first, you know. I don't fucking know.
SPEAKER_00I don't know. I know I know a man like well, I know a man who used to have only female friends. You know what happened to that guy? I married him.
SPEAKER_01So real.
SPEAKER_00Now he has one male friend. Oh go ahead.
SPEAKER_01I have I have another story. This just happened recently. Um, I not somebody I not somebody I went as far as to go out with, but the conversation. So another Facebook uh masterpiece. This guy picked me up, and he, you know, it it always goes bad when it starts out with how beautiful you are. Like, okay, dude, yeah, I appreciate that. That's great. You know what? I'm cute, but listen, it lay it off. Like you could calm it down, right? So he says, Can I call you? Okay, fine. So he calls me, but he waits like hours. I go to bed at nine o'clock, number one. So when he called, I was asleep. I call back the next morning and I'm like, Hey, sorry, I missed your call. And I mean, it was Matt early. So I didn't expect him to be up, but he was. And he said, Oh, I just woke up, you know. I said, Oh, okay, no problem. And then dead silence. Like, did you die? So that's my new thing. I always say, if if I don't hear back from people, I assume they've died because why else would you not reach back out to me? Right. So I'm like, okay, cool. He died, right? A week goes by and he calls me, and I was like, I was on the phone with my friend. I said, let me see what this dude is talking about. Because it's been a week. We get off the phone and he starts talking to me, and already I was like, oh no, no, no, no. So he starts talking to me about different things, and he's asking a lot of questions, but it's very weird. It's like, um, oh yeah, I I work, uh, I have a really good job. I work at Stony Brook. Have you ever heard of it? Of course I fucking heard of it. What's wrong with you? And I was like, Yep, I I yep, I've heard of it. I think so, maybe possibly. So he's talking about that, and he's talking about where he lives, and he's it's a very it's just weird. I don't know how to describe the weirdness, but the way he's talking to me, it's like I don't live here. He's like, Yeah, I live in a town on Long Island called blah blah blah. And I was like, Yeah, okay. What like what? And you know, he's talking to me about where he lives and where he works and what he's got going on, and he's got this music business outside of his uh, you know, real job. He's got this side business and blah blah blah. And he goes to church, he's very involved in his church, and I was like, Oh, okay, you're in a cult. That's the right, that's already right. So you're in a cult. I got it. Because I said he started saying, like, oh, have you ever been married? And I was like, No, I've never been married. And he goes, Okay, good. And I was like, Good, why? And he's like, I said, Why is that good? And he's like, Oh, because you know, in my religion, if I wanted to marry you, I couldn't marry you if you were divorced, you know, you'd have to be a widow. And I was like, What what religion is this? And he's like, Yeah, you know, it's just you know my religion. I was like, no, no, no, what's the name? And he's like, Okay, well, it's called it's called holiness, and I was like, What? What holiness, you know how in the Bible God talks about holiness, he you know, he doesn't reference all these other religions that man created, he talks about holiness, and I was like, uh-huh. Yeah, so tell tell me about this, and he goes, Yeah, we don't drink, we don't smoke, we don't curse, we don't watch porn, you know, we're really dedicated. And I was like, Okay, well, listen, I do all of those things, all of them, I didn't do all of them.
SPEAKER_03Oh, it's actually a movement. Holy shit, I had to Google it. Like, I holy shit. Oh, it's a really I'm good, thanks. Right. I feel like all religious are cults, but that's just a cult, it's a cult, Agnes.
SPEAKER_01It is called now. You Googled it on your phone and they're coming for you.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, they gotta knock on your door. Bring it because this is listen, Satan doesn't come over here, okay? To bring it. He doesn't buy his cheese in Wisconsin.
SPEAKER_00No, Satan doesn't want to go to Wisconsin.
SPEAKER_03No, right? He's like, it's fine.
SPEAKER_01Bring it if he wants it. You want it, bring it. So after he said that, I was like, yeah, okay. I was like, listen, let me let you go. He's like, why what? Where are you going? And I was like, Yeah, no, I got some things I need to do. Um, you know, I I go to bed pretty early, which is true. I said, So I got some things I need to take care of, but yeah, I'm gonna let you go. And he's like, Well, can I call you again?
SPEAKER_04I was like, Yeah, sure.
SPEAKER_03Block.
SPEAKER_01He's like, when can I call you specifically? I was like, oh my god. I was like, you can call me February 31st. I'm available all day. I'll be tomorrow, knowing damn well you are gonna be blocked by as soon as we get off the hang of the phone. You feel free to call me tomorrow. And so, yeah, I don't know why I'm still trying to meet someone off of. Facebook, but because it's just so hard.
SPEAKER_03I kind of want to do the Facebook dating just to get some more stories. Like, do it.
SPEAKER_01Do it. Do it. Originally, when it first came out, I did it, and all I was getting with people that needed green cards, right? So it was like you were from the Well, how much are they paying? Seriously. That was my question. Not enough, not enough. But I'm just like swiping. I'm like, okay, listen, you no, no, no, swipe, swipe, swipe, swipe, swipe, swipe, swipe. And then I shut it down. I turned it off for a while, like a year, and then I turned it back on when I said, okay, let me try this again. And um it's just, it's just, yeah, one story like this after the other. Like I thought my daily history has been bad. At least it's been pressing for all. They just get better and better of the bullshit, the bullshit that happens. And I swear to god, every one of these guys ups and dies within you know two days of them. They just do that. She said it just ups and dies.
SPEAKER_04I love it.
SPEAKER_00Can I just say that? Agnes and I have been doing Love is Blind as a bonus series. And doing wait, doing this recording and talking to Xandria, I feel like I'm in a pod.
SPEAKER_04I'm trying to be her.
SPEAKER_00I don't know what she looks like.
SPEAKER_01I'm trying to do that. Well, the next if you if you ever decide to invite me back, I will be camera ready. Okay. Yes. Today I was fresh out of my bed and looking crazy. Girl, you have to see this some mornings.
SPEAKER_03We're like, some mornings we're like, we only I only darkened my eyebrows and comb my hair because other people were coming on. Any other time, we're like, yeah, it's bad.
SPEAKER_01So yeah, if you decide ever to invite me back, I will be camera ready, I promise. Right now I look like a crazy person.
SPEAKER_03Thank you. I'm so glad that you're willing to do this again because most people are like, oh, not these two bitches again. Um question my profile picture. Do I have to change my Facebook profile picture to only me? Because right now it's me and my brother and my mom when we were kids. I should change it to just me, right? If you're gonna go into the dating app, absolutely it should be a single.
SPEAKER_01So when you when you go on there, um you put you pick the pictures that you want. It does, it's not your profile picture unless you send it to someone.
SPEAKER_03Okay, cool. All right, all right, because I mean I have cut, I mean, the pictures that I like are maybe like a year or two old, but that's still relatively new. Oh, I love you. She loves me. Can I teach you, Lisa? I was telling Lisa, I am because I was getting ready for a marriage since 316. So it was all of us. It was me, Alex, and Lisa getting ready together, not getting dressed, but you know, rap girl getting together. I said, I'm the only single woman that has a wife and a husband.
SPEAKER_00I'm sitting in my bed watching TV, and she's helping him pick out clothes, she's trimming his beard, and I'm just like, I think it was me.
SPEAKER_03I got Lisa and me, Lisa worked it together. We figured it out. Right, and then she helped me get dressed. Like, I felt so loved. My daughter doesn't need me. She does, she's like, you know, watch the kids, and it's nice to be needed. I'm a sister wife without all the heartache and the pain.
SPEAKER_04Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_03Uh I mean, I don't get the sex either, but it's okay. I know I get the alcohol, so it's okay. It works out fine. You get the alcohol, yeah. I'll take alcohol over sex at this point.
SPEAKER_00Why some days, you know, the alcohol doesn't talk back.
SPEAKER_03No, alcohol always comes through. Because there's been times I had some experiences, and I was just like, okay, that could have been an email because that doesn't she didn't, she wasn't she didn't feel shit. So I'm like, why would why why? What was the purpose of this?
SPEAKER_02And this is why I stay out of the dating field. I can't, it's just too much. There's too many cycles out there.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_02Oh I commend you, ladies.
SPEAKER_03I actually would just want to do it now to get more funny stories for our podcast because I don't I don't I'm not even looking for love anymore. I'm on that message. I don't want to get off anymore because I'm not getting off. I don't want love, I just want the funny stories to my podcast. That's it. Because everything's research purposes, yeah. There you go.
