We are joined by Kathie Barstnar, the Executive Director for NAIOP Colorado and Whiting Management Resources, and Stephen Shepard, the Executive Vice President of Denver Metro BOMA to discuss HB 1286, a bill whose aim is to improve the energy efficiency of commercial buildings. The goal of HB 1286 may be laudable, but the method is misguided. Kathie and Stephen walk us through the challenges with this proposed legislation and how it can be improved to the benefit of all.
