Trusting God Blindly
Life doesn’t always go as planned. When uncertainty hits—whether through job loss, health struggles, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck—it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. But even when everything feels out of control, God is still in control.
In this episode of Made for More Ministries, we dive deep into trusting God in uncertain times. We’ll unpack biblical truths from Proverbs 3:5-6, Isaiah 55:8-9, and Romans 8:28, exploring how to shift our mindset, find peace in the unknown, and lean on God when answers don’t come easily.
If you’re struggling to see what’s next, this episode will encourage you to hold onto faith, shift your focus from fear to God’s promises, and trust that even in the waiting, He is working for your good.

Welcome to today’s episode, where we’re diving deep into something that every single one of us has experienced at some point in life: uncertainty. Those moments when life feels unpredictable, when it seems like nothing is going the way we planned, when we look around and feel like everything is falling apart—those moments can be overwhelming.
Maybe you’ve found yourself thinking, “When it rains, it pours.” It feels like as soon as one thing goes wrong, everything else seems to follow. It’s in these times that doubt, fear, and frustration creep in. We wonder if God is really there. We ask why things are happening the way they are. We search for answers but find none.
But here’s the truth: Even in the storm, God is with you. Even in the moments when you don’t understand, He is working. Even when life feels out of control, He is still on the throne. And today, I want to encourage you with some biblical truths about trusting God in uncertain times, how to shift your mindset to find peace, and why no matter what you’re facing, you are going to be okay.
When Life Feels Unpredictable
Life is full of twists and turns. There are seasons of joy, but there are also seasons of hardship. And sometimes, it feels like those hard seasons just won’t end.
Maybe you’ve lost a job. Maybe you’ve received bad news from the doctor. Maybe you’re dealing with relationship struggles, financial stress, or simply feel stuck in a place of uncertainty, wondering, God, what is going on?
In these moments, it’s easy to feel like God is silent. But I want to remind you of something powerful: God is not absent in your struggle. He is fully present, even when you can’t see what He’s doing.
Proverbs 3:5-6 says:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
This verse is key. So often, we try to figure everything out ourselves. We want control. We want certainty. But God is telling us, Trust Me, even when you don’t understand.
When It Rains, It Pours
Have you ever noticed that when one thing goes wrong, it feels like everything else follows? It’s as if you’re in a season where nothing is going right, and you can’t catch a break.
Here’s what I want you to remember: This is just a season.
Life is full of seasons—some good, some bad, some confusing—but no season lasts forever. Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us:
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”
You may be in a season of struggle, but it will not last forever. The rain may be pouring now, but the sun will shine again. And more importantly, even in the middle of the storm, God is covering you.
Think about the story of Job. He lost everything—his wealth, his health, his family. It was a season of immense suffering. But even in his pain, God was still present. And in the end, Job’s story didn’t finish in despair; it finished in restoration.
Whatever you are facing right now, this is not the end of your story.
God’s Plan is Greater Than Our Understanding
One of the hardest things to accept is that sometimes, we don’t get the answers we want. Sometimes, God allows things to happen that don’t make sense to us.
Maybe you’ve been praying for a door to open, and it remains closed. Maybe you’ve been hoping for healing, and it hasn’t come yet. Maybe you’re questioning, God, why is this happening to me?
I want you to hear this loud and clear: Just because you don’t understand doesn’t mean God isn’t working.
Isaiah 55:8-9 tells us:
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
We don’t always get to see the full picture, but God does. He knows what He’s doing, even when we don’t.
Think about Joseph in the Bible. He was sold into slavery by his own brothers, thrown into prison for something he didn’t do, and spent years in hardship. But in the end, God elevated him to a position of power that saved an entire nation from famine.
If Joseph had judged his story too soon, he might have thought that God had abandoned him. But the truth was, God was preparing him for something greater.
And the same is true for you.
How to Trust God When You Don’t Know What’s Next
Trusting God when life is good is easy. Trusting Him when life is falling apart—that’s where faith comes in.
So, how do you hold on to faith when everything feels uncertain?
1. Shift Your Focus from the Problem to the Promise
Instead of focusing on what’s going wrong, focus on God’s promises. Romans 8:28 says:
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
God is working, even in your pain. Even in your waiting. Even in the unknown.
2. Remind Yourself That God Has Already Won
No matter what battle you are facing, the war has already been won. Jesus’ victory on the cross means that no hardship, no uncertainty, no struggle is greater than God’s power.
John 16:33 reminds us:
“In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
You may feel like you’re in the middle of the battle, but the outcome has already been decided—God wins. And if you are in Christ, you win too.
3. Take It One Day at a Time
Sometimes, we get so caught up in worrying about the future that we forget to live in today. But Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:34:
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
God gives us enough grace for today. You don’t have to figure out the whole plan—just trust Him with the next step.
4. Surround Yourself with Truth
When you’re struggling, surround yourself with godly encouragement—worship music, scripture, prayer, and community. Fill your mind with God’s Word instead of negativity.
Psalm 46:10 reminds us:
“Be still, and know that I am God.”
When the world feels chaotic, God calls us to stillness, to trust, and to lean on Him.
Final Encouragement: You Will Be Okay
No matter what you’re going through, no matter how uncertain things feel, you will be okay. Not because of your strength, but because of His. Not because you have all the answers, but because He does.
God sees you. He knows what you’re facing. He hasn’t left you. And even though you may not see it right now, He is working all things together for your good.
So today, take a deep breath. Give your worries to God. And trust that even in the uncertainty, He is still in control.
Thank you for tuning in today. If this episode encouraged you, share it with someone who needs a reminder to trust God in uncertain times. And remember—no matter what life throws your way, God is still on the throne, and you are never alone.
Until next time, stay encouraged, stay faithful, and keep trusting.
