King David is now king of the house of Judah, but there are hold outs from King Saul who want to have his son king over the house of Israel. This will bring about a civil war of both houses.

The men of Jabesh Gilead retrieve king Saul and Jonathan from the Philistines.

Abner and Joab who are captains of the houses of Israel and Judah go to war. Abner is defeated.

John Chapter 2 verses 15-17.

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
