Culture Shift

Report + Support is the first product from Culture Shift, an anonymous online reporting system, which also offers support for those experiencing harassment. The Report & Support System helps universities to keep their populations safe by giving them the opportunity to seek support or (as recommended in the UUK Guidelines), report harassment anonymously.

Originally developed in collaboration with the University of Manchester, the platform is now being rolled out to Universities across the UK.

In this podcast, you’ll hear from Vicki Baars, Strategy and Review Manager - Sexual Harassment at Goldsmiths, University of London. Her role at Goldsmiths focuses on reviewing the current policies and processes with the intention of improving the institution's prevention of and response to sexual harassment, violence, and misconduct. Vicki has managed the successful implementation of Report + Support which went live at Goldsmiths in February 2018.

Our co-host is Gemma McCall, Director of Culture Shift and Project Lead for Report + Support. Her role is to raise awareness of the platform and its benefits to HEIs across the UK.

Between them, they’ll be able to answer any questions you might have if you’re thinking about putting the Report + Support system into place in your University. They'll cover everything from what cultural shifts will be necessary, to giving advice about involving different stakeholders within your institution, and what happens between giving the go-ahead, and the system actually going live.
