We explore listening beyond the words as a practical presence skill for relationships, conflict, and workplace communication. We talk about tuning into vibrational frequency through the heart, and why overthinking can quietly sabotage connection by stacking filters, expectations, and judgment between you and the person in front of you. You’ll hear how curiosity opens the door to deeper listening.

We also get specific about somatic awareness and discernment. Then we walk through a longer “breaking energy” practice to use before a difficult talk, plus a faster reset you can do on the spot when you’re caught off guard. If you want stronger emotional intelligence, better active listening, and calmer relationships without forcing outcomes, this is a grounded place to start.

Welcome And Today’s Focus

Michael

Hello and welcome to The Relevance of Now with William Linville. My name is Michael Connell and I'm here with William. Hi, William. Hi, Michael. How are you, my good friend? Fantastic. How are you? I am great. Thanks for asking. You're welcome. William, today's podcast, we're going to go into relationships with others and specifically listening beyond the words. And when we talk about listening beyond the words, we're talking about conversations with others. But also we'll dive into listening to what our self-talk is saying and diving deeper into what it's really saying. When we say listen, what are we actually listening for beyond the words?

William

We're listening to the vibrational frequencies. So you go into your heart. So right now, let's just all bring our consciousness through the heart and just feeling what's in your heart. Just feeling and asking your body to vibrate faster and faster. Where you can feel your cells speeding up and speeding up. And feeling your body's vibrational frequencies increasing and increasing, getting rid of all the mental noise, closing your eyes, focusing your eyes towards your third eye, and just feeling the presence of your higher levels coming into and through the physical form within your heart. Through your heart, through your solar plexus, through your creator chakra level vortex, all the way up through your throat, through your third eye, and just really feeling the warmth, the energy flowing through, where you're open to receive the vibrational frequencies of everything going on within yourself, where you're actually listening for the fluid vibrational frequencies, where you're actually able to hear the vibrational frequencies of what's going on around you rather than just the words, you're able to hear what's beyond the words, and within yourself, you're able to go beyond the idle chit-chat and being able to hear what's going on through your subconscious into your creator consciousness and the fluidity of it. And the stillness within yourself, and the openness and the receptiveness within yourself. And how does that feel, Michael?

Michael

It feels so peaceful that when I'm imagining having a conversation with someone, how much more receptive I would be.

William

Exactly, and being able to hear beyond the words to actually be able to hear what's really being said.

How Thinking Blocks Listening

Michael

Yes, and what I'm noticing is there's a real curiosity here. Yes. And what does thinking do that would interrupt true listening? f

William

By creating all these barriers and filters. Like waiting for a certain response and putting up all these filters and barriers of what you resonate with, don't resonate with, how a dear one fits into your comfort zone, and all the filters around a comfort zone rather than really hearing where another dear one's coming from. Rather than putting them in all these boxes and putting up all these filtrations made of judgment.

Michael

And how that could easily be blocking the ability to feel the vibratory frequencies of what they're saying.

William

Absolutely, buddy. Absolutely. And putting up all these filters to block it due to their own perceptional judgments.

Michael

And you've mentioned before about using the solar plexus as a tool for discernment. And what does the body tell us when something's off, even if the words sound funny?

William

Your solar plexus starts to tighten up, then it starts to lock up when something's off. So it's like a filter to let you know that something's not accurate. So it starts to tighten up.

Michael

And where in the body do we feel the vibratory frequencies when things feel right?

William

Well, you feel it in the solar plexus, but you also mostly feel it in the heart. And your heart expands. And it opens up and emanates. And your solar plexus opens up and expands. Same with your creator chakra level vortex.

Breaking Energy In Conflict

Michael

And what I hear you saying is a key aspect of listening beyond the words is being in the relevance of now in our presence and having that ability. And when we're in a work setting or a difficult conversation, someone's coming at us or upset at us, what's a simple practice that we could shift from thinking to listening?

William

By bringing your consciousness to the heart and breaking energy with them. So you take your left palm over your right palm, right in front of your heart, slide your palms across each other, bringing your left palm into your heart, pushing your right palm out, pushing away the situation, pushing away the whole world with your right hand, then dropping your hands, bringing your consciousness through the heart, letting your heart open up, and then bringing your conscious from the heart through your throat, up through your third eye, all the way up through your crown chakra level vortex, up through the astral planes of consciousness and the mass collective consciousness, all the way to the sun, bringing a stream of consciousness from the sun, all the way back down through the astral planes of consciousness, all the way down through the mass collective consciousness, down through your crown chakra level vortex, down through your third eye, down through your throat chakra level vortex, down through your heart, down through your solar plexus, down through your creator chakra level vortex, down through your root chakra level vortex, down through your upper legs, lower legs, through your feet, down through your shoulders, your upper arms, your lower arms, through the hands, just breaking energy with the whole world and allowing yourself to fill up with all of your creator consciousness. That's how you break energy with it, and you start feeling more and more of your connectedness, or you start becoming free from all of the energy of others, or you've broken energy and you've allowed for your creator consciousness to come through.

A Fast Reset In The Moment

Michael

Awesome. That practice is a longer practice that maybe we could be doing before we're interacting with another. What if we get caught off guard and all of a sudden we're in the conversation and we're noticing our solar plexus are tightening or we're not really in our presence? Is there something we could do in a short period of time in the moment to assist ourselves in being in our presence and moving from thinking to listening?

William

Yes. You take a breath and you welcome in your higher levels to take command and you bring your consciousness through your heart, and you just feel right into your heart, and you feel your heart. That's a quicker way just to break energy with what's going on. So you bring your consciousness from your solar plexus into your heart, and that's where all the lower level energies dissolve. Because when you bring your conscience through your heart, all those other energetic hooks, those energetic cords start dissolving. And those lower energetic frequencies dissolve. Because your heart starts to remove them. And you ask your body to start vibrating faster and faster. Your vibrational frequencies start speeding up and speeding up, where all those lower frequencies dissolve.

Michael

Yeah, I can see that and feel it.

William

And the faster your body vibrates, the more immune you become to the lower frequencies.

Michael

What will change in our relationships and our lives when we stop from thinking to listening with our whole being?

William

You start to notice that all your relationships, they start to work, they start to flow, and everything in your life stream starts to fall into place, and everything starts to flow within yourself and within your world. And more and more pleasurable and supportive.

Michael

Wonderful.

William

Absolutely. Because it's your natural state you're stepping into. It's not natural to get hung up on all these lower levels. And your body's speeding up vibratorily, which is its natural state.

Michael

Resting in this presence, it feels natural, as you said. It feels vibrant.

William

Absolutely, buddy. And it's your natural state rather than all this lower level stuff and carnal level stuff.
