Today, we sit down with Dr. Nate Hearne, who was introduced to us by the fabulous Megan McCann, who saw Dr. Hearne speak earlier this year. She loved his story, and I believe you will, too, in this powerful episode! He is the author of "Friday Night Lights: Untold Stories From Beyond the Lights."
Dr. Hearne and his wife are now empty nesters after having five children. Dr. Hearne shares a powerful story of diversity and how he broke down the barriers of speaking to new audiences. Dr. Hearne was one of eight children and his parents were extremely hard-working, supportive, and loving. You will hear about the adversity he went through as a child, including finding cardboard to keep his shoes usable. Just wait!
Dr. Hearne also shares a powerful story of a teacher (Mr. Hays) who was a huge inspiration in his life. One of my favorite quotes he shared with us is "Holes in your shoes are not an indicator of the man you will be." Dr. Hearne is a teacher, coach, father, and leader who preaches for all of us to get uncomfortable so that we can grow, believe, and set goals!
