Episode 18 - Meditation and Compassion - A Coaches story with Ryan Sawyer
Our next guest is one of the most vulnerable and honest Dads you will hear on The Quarterback DadCast. True story, I was responsible for chaperon Ryan Sawyer as a new recruit out of Kent-Meridian High school before he would go on to have a great career as a defensive end. Ryan was my college teammate and he would go on to have a successful playing career. Later, Ryan would become a national championship football coach for the Eagles of Eastern Washington.
Ryan is married to his beautiful wife Heidi and they have two, healthy and beautiful children. They are the co-owners of IHP Coaching and their journey into growth together began when their marriage and family were on the verge of breaking. It was during this difficult time that they each recognized the parts that they were playing in the story of their lives and decided to consciously choose something different. Through their individual growth journeys, they found each other again and also embarked upon a shared mission to help others transform their lives, families, and relationships by sharing the tools that have helped them.
Today, we get to learn more about Ryan and his relationship with his father and how his career is evolving towards always being present.
