Show Notes

In today's episode, we are blessed to speak with one of my FAVORITE college football teammates from CWU!  His name is Michael Talamaivao and he is a father, husband, and great friend!  Hie immigrated from American Samoa and would grow up in West Seattle before going on to play Defensive Line for the Wildcats.    Both of Mike's parents were teachers and he talks about the impact they had on him as he would get into education himself.

You will hear his raw and vulnerable story of coaching high school football and why he decided to walk away and focus on his marriage and being a present father.   The pressures of always being on and the feeling of not being present are what led Mike to do what he does now as a social worker.

We shared many laughs during this episode and also would talk about the power of not being perfect, forgiveness in our relationships, and unleashing more vulnerability within us.   Lastly, we talk about our culture and the true meaning of honor and respect!  I hope you enjoy this episode and please share with others who you feel might benefit from our conversation!
