Our next is a fellow alum of Central Washington University and a former college teammate from our days playing football for the Wildcats! Coach Maul grew up in Tacoma and attended Bellarmine Prep HS before going on to star as a Captain and starting Linebacker for the National Championship Wildcats in 1995.
Coach Maul and I talked many memories of CWU days, the ultimate responsibility of being a father, as well as diving deep into the social issues regarding racism that still goes on to this day. We talked about the power of being patient and staying true to the process.
Coach leaves us with three great action items as a father:
- Say I Love you Often! Actions will follow Words!
- Encourage vs Discourage
- TIME = Tell me what they want to do for the day!
