Visions of Saint John Bosco
"Saint John Bosco, better known as Don Bosco, is one of the great apostles of the Nineteenth Century. His ministry was to the children of Turin, in Northern Italy, victims of the Industrial Revolution in that country at that time. Don Bosco was God's gift to the Church of that century. The magnetism of Don Bosco reached out and touched souls all over the world. He was one of the most multi-faceted diamonds, the Lord has ever given us. In addition to being a pied-piper to the young, attracting them, embracing them, protecting them, guiding them, he founded a Religious Order, was an author, a super church-builder, as well as a visionary and prophet."
While there are so many cuts in the diamond we call St. John Bosco, so many aspects of the life and ministry of St. John Bosco that we could write about, we want to limit ourselves in this book to his visions and dreams, his prophecies of Heaven, Hell and Purgatory. Most of these were connected with his ministry to the children of his oratory; but we can all take lessons from these messages he received from the Lord. We're going to paraphrase the dream, because there is just so much to cover, but we do recommend you read more about him.

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton
“He is more within us than we are ourselves.”
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, or as we knew her when we were children, Mother Seton, is the first American-born Saint we have written about. She was born in New York City, just as we were. When I was a child, I attended a Catholic parochial school, St. Athanasius in the Bronx, taught by those beautiful Sisters of Charity. They wore funny little bonnets which covered their heads, like the pictures you see of Mother Seton, not the type we typically identified with Nuns, especially after having seen Ingrid Bergman in “The Bells of St. Mary.” These good Sisters of Charity would read to us from the Lives of the Saints two or three times a week as I recall. These were exciting stories of holy people who had lived good lives, set an example for the world, and went to Heaven. Usually, there were Miracles attached to their lives, or apparitions of Our Lord Jesus and His Mother Mary.

Saint. Thomas Aquinas is so outstanding. The Lord has given him the ability to take very complex matters, such as the differences between animal, human and Angel, and break them down into logical, extremely understandable terms. He was particularly enraptured by Angels, as are we. He made a study of them. I have to believe he got a lot of help in his research from the Angels themselves, in the form of Angelic inspiration, or possibly by a direct line.
We pray they will be as kind to us, as we try to explain their culture, and their role in Salvation History in general, and in our lives, more specifically. Strangely enough, it's easier to salute their power and accomplishments, than it is to actually explain them. However, we have an urgency to try. We want you to feel as strongly about them, as close to them as we do, and as in love with them as we are, so you can take advantage of the dominance the Lord has given them on our behalf. They're just waiting for you to ask them to use their strength for you. Sometimes, they don't even wait for you to ask. You know, when something wonderfully impossible has happened to you, it's usually the work of your Angels. If ever there was a time when we needed the Angels, it's now.

Saint Therese of Lisieux
Pope Pius IX. He was elected Pope at one of the most crucial periods in the history of the Church, and remained at the helm of the ship of the Church longer than any Pope before or since, 32 years. He is responsible for many great things during his papacy, including, but not limited to the Dogma of Papal Infallibility, the Dogma of the Immaculate Conception of Our Lady, the short-lived Vatican I, and his ongoing battle against the elements who were out to destroy the Church, namely the beginnings of the New Age movement, and the liberals all over Europe, but especially Victor Emmanuel in Italy, who not only plotted to steal the papal lands, he ultimately forced our Pope to end his pontificate as a self-imposed prisoner inside the Vatican walls. These and many other attacks made against Pope Pius IX, lovingly called Pio Nonno, caused him much grief throughout his Papacy, but the Lord kept him in charge for for 32 years for a good reason; there was a job to be done! God knew Pius IX could get the job done!

There are many stories that can be told of a mysterious voice warning you of danger, of something or was it someone interfering in the knick of time.
As we started to write this book on Angels, we found ourselves remembering incidents in our lives we had long forgotten.
Could it be our Guardian Angels reminding us? Why not?
The Life of Saint Thérèse of Lisieux
“If God grants my desires, my Heaven will be spent on earth until the end of time. Yes, I will spend my Heaven doing good on earth....
I will return! I will come down!”
Saint Thérèse of Lisieux is one of the most powerful Saints of the Twentieth Century. We have never prayed for the intercession of another Saint who lived so close to our time. She died in 1897 at the age of twenty four, and was canonized in 1925. When she died, she was virtually unknown, even in her own Community.
Within two years of her death, the power of her intercession began to be felt all over Europe. Prayers and novenas were made to her for favors, which were answered in abundance, usually preceded by the reception of a flower. She called herself the Little Flower of Jesus, a name which has remained with her until today. The swiftness of time in which devotion to this Saint grew, would be called in secular terms, a phenomena. We call it a Miracle.
On March 15, 1907, Pope St. Pius X, in a private conversation, called her “The greatest Saint of modern times”.

Our Saint was born in the beautiful countryside of Verdu in Catalonia, Spain in or around 1581. There's not much known about his childhood, other than he was born of a distinguished old family of Catalonia. However, his family instilled in him the love of Jesus and the love of his fellow man. Otherwise, how could he possibly have dedicated his life to helping the poorest of the poor, the lowest of the low. From an early age, it was well known that he was destined to live his life for the Church. So when he was old enough, he was enrolled in the University of Barcelona.

The Crowning of Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth
The Coronation
When we begin the Fifth Glorious Mystery, we use the title: "The Coronation of Our Lady as Queen of Heaven and Earth, of all the Angels and the Saints." As far as we can recall, we have always prayed this mystery under the title, "Queen of all the Angels and the Saints." But now that we think of it, we didn't really pray the Rosary much until we came back to the Church in 1975, and by that time, we were so in love with the Angels, and with their roles in our Church and our lives, we just naturally included them in this mystery
