As U.S. potato grower prepare to gather (virtually) for the 2021 National Potato Council Annual Meeting, Feb. 22-25, we sat down with 2020 NPC President Britt Raybould to discuss some of the ups and downs of the past year, including the industry's unprecedented efforts in D.C. to support family farmers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Raybould serves as chief financial officer of Raybould Brothers Farm in Rexburg, Idaho. She previously served the NPC board as First Vice President and Vice President of the Legislative and Government Affairs Committee. She was the third generation of the Raybould family to serve as NPC President and the first female president in NPC’s 73-year history.

In addition, NPC CEO Kam Quarles called in to talk about the upcoming Potato D.C. Fly-In and the policy priorities growers will be bringing before lawmakers as the industry comes together to Stand Up for Potatoes on Capitol Hill.
