Most people know the quote “You’re the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with”. You hear it, you feel it, so you get over yourself and spend multi 5 figures on a mastermind, a new coach and whatnot.

You feel growth and inspiration, but even when you’ve done all of that - there's a secret layer to this nobody talks about openly: I’m talking about those rooms you’re in you can't easily leave.

Because they’re your home.

Maybe it’s your mom, your partner or your best friend from high school.

When you spend enough time with someone who is playing a smaller game than you, you won't just feel it in your mood in the moment itself. You will subconsciously start filtering your goals through their ceiling, you will stop sharing your dreams out loud and slowly you’ll start playing a smaller game without realizing this is happening.

My friend recently explained this to me perfectly: this is what we call getting enrolled in someone else's world. It costs more than most people realize when you cannot simply walk away from someone who’s - probably unintentionally - dragging you down.

This episode also covers what actually shifts when you step into the right room, and why it's almost never about the strategies you learn in bigger rooms.

If you've been wondering why your ceiling keeps moving down even as you grow, this one is for you.
