Well, folks, it's the end of July, and a deal isn't in sight. The issue right now isn't so much whether or not stimulus checks will be in the next relief bill given that stimulus checks are one of the few areas in which Republicans and Democrats actually see somewhat eye-to-eye.
No, the issue at this point is actually getting the next stimulus relief bill PASSED. And it appears that neither the Democrats nor the Republicans are willing at this point to make the compromises necessary to make that happen.
