This week I sat down with Chuck Garrison on the roof of his practice building, with carpenter bees buzzing, and kids playing in the background. In addition to his time in Pipe, Zen Frisbee, Small, Evil Wiener, The Bad Checks, and Superchunk, we also talk about a lot of Chapel Hill music scene history, why Charlotte has never seen the success of the triangle scene, and how my old band once payed tribute to one of his. After we packed up, Chuck remembered some things he forgot to talk about, so some sort of part two is already in discussion!
