You're taking notes. The title of my sermon is Let It Go. Let it go. And you may be asking the question, what is it? I don't know. But you know. You know what it is. And not only do you know what it is, you know who it is. And you know what they did. And maybe it's even you that you have to let go because maybe you let you down. Maybe you hurt you, but you have to let it go. That we're called to forgive by God, and we have to let it go. You have to let go of the pain, the betrayal, the abuse, all the bad things that happened to you. You have to let it go, and I know what you're thinking. You don't know what they did. I may not know what they did, but I know what you deserve. You deserve freedom, and you get freedom when you let things go and you let people go that harmed you and hurt you. Come on, somebody. You have to let it go. So I want you to do me a favor. Look to your neighbor and say, let it go. Look to your other neighbor and say, Let it go. Look to your neighbor and say, Let them go. Look to your other neighbor and say, let them go. Awkward, right? Hey, you gotta preach. See, you preach to somebody today. You get home, you're like, man, I'll preach. I told somebody at church to let it go. Like, you preach your own sermon. But you have to let it go. Let go of the pain, let go of the frustration, let go of the brokenness. Let it go, let it go. Because sometimes you signed the divorce papers, but yet you're dealing you're still devastated. Sometimes the church hurt happened, but yet you're still devastated. Sometimes the friendships ended, but yet you're still devastated. And somehow you're still carrying what happened to you. And it's weighing you down, it's frustrating you, it's making you exhausted because you're carrying things you're not supposed to be carrying. You're dealing with things you don't supposed to be dealing with. And what happened is the wound could have happened 5, 10, 15, 20 years ago. But every time you hold it and don't let it go, that wound just re-injures itself. It just keeps re-resurrecting because you haven't let it go. All of a sudden, you leave somebody and you're out of this toxic relationship. And you're like, man, bless God, I'm out of this relationship, and this situation is dead. And then you see this situation walking out of Walmart, and then it just resurrects, and you're like, Lord, like I ain't gonna ask you to kill it, but I don't want to see it no more. You know what I'm saying? And you have to let it go. Before I start preaching, just one more time, I want you to just say out loud, say, let it go. You gotta let some things go. Let it go, let it go, let it go. When you let it go, you're gonna be better, you're gonna be healthier, you're going to heal, you're gonna be everything Jesus has called you to be. Let it go. And sometimes it's hard to let it go because they don't deserve it. But you do. If you have your Bibles, go to Matthew chapter 6. Matthew chapter 6. I'll give you guys a second to get there. Let it go. Man, it's hot up in here. What? Rotissery. Like, who won't dark me? It's hot. Ah my. Like I'm barbecuing in here. And I'm on the grill, it's barbecuing, I'm on the grill, it's hot. Man, we we apologize as a church. We should have turned that AC on yesterday. It's our fault. We are sorry. Went to church, got a good word, and they barbecued me. Praise God. So all the people that's like, it's always cold in here. This is your Sunday. We are blessing to you. It's always so cold. We got your back. We say, you know what, on your behalf, everybody getting cooked. Everybody. Man. But Jesus is still good. Praise God. Probably not a church appropriate junk, but I promise it feels better in here than it feels in hell. I'm just saying. But uh, probably shouldn't have said that. Okay, let's let's just skip back to the Bible. Matthew 6, verse 12, and it reads, And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. We're gonna jump down to verse 14. For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your father forgive you your trespasses. Let's read verse 14 again. For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your father forgive you your trespasses. Wow, wow, wow. Um, as I sit here and I think about this and and I read this, you know, um it's it's cool, but but but if we would be honest, we don't like this. We don't like this verse. And the reason why we don't like this verse is because we're like, but but God, you saw what they did to me. You saw how they treated me, you saw how they hurt me and harmed me and abused me, and you're saying that I gotta forgive this person who hurt me, and if I don't do it, you're not gonna forgive me. And sometimes that verse is hard to digest, sometimes it's hard to comprehend, sometimes it feels unfair. And you like, I don't want to forgive them. They don't deserve to be forgiven. And you may be right, they may not deserve to be forgiven, but you deserve to be free, and you cannot be free until you forgive them. And I know you're saying sorry, you're just saying, preacher, let them off the hook, let them off the hook for how they harmed me, let them off the hook because they weren't there for me, let them off the hook because they didn't raise me, because I wasn't loved like my sibling, because I was hurt, because I was lied to, because I was betrayed, because I was stabbed in the back. Are you saying let them off the hook? No, I'm saying let you off the hook. Because you not forgiving them is holding you on the hook, it's harming you, it's devastating to you, it's taking away from you, and it's also and it's also causing God to not be able to forgive you because he said he can't forgive you of your trespasses until you forgive them of their trespasses. And I know they wronged you, but you got to remember you wronged God. I know they hurt your heart, but you hurt the heart of God. I know they did something to you they shouldn't have done, but you've done something to God you shouldn't have done. And God is saying, if you will let them go free, I'll let you go free. If you let them out of their prison, I will let you out of your prison. And you're like, How can I do it? And the reason why we struggle forgiving is because if we would be honest and stop and think. When we don't forgive somebody, inside of our heart, it feels like justice. I can't stand you, and it feels like justice. I'm mad and it feels like justice. And it feels like justice. We feel justified by holding on forgiveness. But the truth of the matter is it's not justice, it's actually self-harm. Because what you do is when you don't forgive somebody, you allow them to live in your soul rent-free. The person that you didn't forgive, and this may stress you out a little bit, the person you didn't forgive lives in you. And not only do they live with you, but like a backpack, you carry them everywhere you go. You're in your new marriage and you're still carrying the people that hurt you. You're in your new life and you're still carrying the people that hurt you. You have your own family now, you're still carrying the people that hurt you. You have a new job now, you're still carrying the people that hurt you. You had a new church now, you're still carrying the people that hurt you. And now you're saying, God, I'm weary, and God is saying, Yeah, because you won't let go, and you're holding things you shouldn't be holding. You're saying, God, I'm frustrated, he's saying, yeah, because you won't let go. You're saying, God, I can't sleep. He's saying yes because you won't let go. You're holding things that you have to let go. You have to let it go. There's a prophet in Disney, prophet Elsa, she said, let it go, let it go. The prophet is saying, You have to let it go. Let it go, let go of the pain, let go of the frustration, let go of the shame, the embarrassment they caused you. Let it go. Let it go, let go of the weight, and you're gonna be able to breathe easy. That's why the Bible says, Lay aside every weight. This is a weight that's on you. Lay it aside so you can sleep again at night, lay it aside so you can have peace. Lay it aside so anxiety can leave, lay it aside so frustration can leave. Let it go. And I know you're like, well, Pastor, I just supposed to let them get away with it. No. Because I want you to know if somebody hurts you, they didn't get away scot clean. You don't hurt God's people and get away with it. And you may not see them struggling because they may be smiling on social media, but I tell you, they have trouble sleeping at night. I tell you, they have trouble, they have frustrations and anxieties. Until they make it right with God, they'll never have peace because of what they did to you. They didn't get away scot clean. God is too just for them to get away scot clean. God is an equalizer, he evens the score. The Bible says, Vengeance is the Lord, and he will repay everything that came against you. If you don't. But if you repay it, God can't repay it, and if you fight it, God can't fight it. And if you try to vindicate it, God can't vindicate it. But if you would sit back, you would see the battle is not yours, the battle is the Lord's. Let it go and let them go. Because the danger is if you don't let it go, and if you don't let them go, you actually open up a door. The Bible says that forgiveness gives way to the devil, that the devil has a right to you. So somebody harms you, and because you won't let them go, the devil now has a right to come harm you again. And all of a sudden, you keep re-injuring the wound because you would not let them go. Let it go. Let them go, let it go. And maybe you're in this room, you're like, Pastor KJ, I ain't got nobody that I ain't forgiving. Is there a person that can walk in this room right now and you wouldn't speak to them? Is there a person that if they came and sat in this room, you wouldn't, you would you get knots in your stomach? Is there a person that they came here all of a sudden it feels like the wound is ripped open again and you are reliving everything again, and now you're feeling all anxious and frustrated and mad? You probably haven't let them go yet. Because they shouldn't have that kind of power over you, they shouldn't have the power to shift your mood, they shouldn't have the power to change your day, they shouldn't have the power to change your attitude. Let them go, let them go, they're not worth it. Let them go and gotta deal with it. And the reason why you have to let them go is because you deserve to be whole and you become whole when you let them go. And I know you feel justified by not forgiving them, but I want you to notice unforgiveness is like you drinking poison expecting the other person to die. When the poison harms you, it hurts you, it breaks you, it fatigues you, it worries you. Let them go. Let them go, let them go, let them go, let them go. And when you let them go, you're gonna grow. And God is so beautiful that He said He'll give you beauty for your ashes. Which means God says when you let them go, He's gonna bring something new, new peace, new joy, new restoration, new healing, new faith. Let them go. Oh, come on, somebody. Can we give King Jesus a shout of praise? Let it go. You have to forgive them so God can forgive you. Vengeance is the Lord. Let it go. And so many times we hold grudges and we hold frustration and we hold all these things that we just have to let in. Verse 13. Then Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests, the rulers, and the people, said to them, You have brought this man to me as one who misleads the people. Talking about Jesus. So the chief priest, the rulers, and the people, the crowd, said to them, He said to them, You have brought me brought to me this man as one who misleads the people. And indeed, having examined him in your presence, I found no fault in this man concerning those things of which you accused him. No, neither did Herod, for I have sent you, for I have sent you back to him, and indeed nothing deserving of death has been done by him. I will therefore chastise him and release him, for it was necessary for him to release one of them at the feast. And they all cried out at once, saying, Away with this man, release to us Barabbas, who have been thrown into prison for a certain rebellion made in the city and for murder. Pilate, therefore, wishing to release Jesus again, called to them, but they shouted, saying, Crucify him, crucify him, crucify him, crucify him. And let's jump down to verse 33 to see Jesus' response. And when he had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the criminals, one on the right and one on the left. Then Jesus said, and this is a famous quote from Jesus Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. Let's read again. Then Jesus said, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. Wow. Wow. If anybody on planet earth had a reason to not forgive, it would have been Jesus. You guys ain't forgiving somebody that lied on you. You're not forgiving somebody that hurt you. You're not forgiving somebody that betrayed you, somebody that didn't have your back. He's asking the Father to forgive people that's killing him. If you have one person that you are probably justified, in my opinion, which thank God, my opinion, don't matter. Only his does. To not forgive, that's the person that's murdering you. Somebody killing you, you ain't gotta be, I forgive you, like, nah, bruh. I'm gonna hunt you if I could. But he forgave people killing him. And then look at the wisdom of Jesus to be able to do this. A pure heart can't just get you to this level. You gotta have wisdom. And he said, forgive them, for they know not what they do. Jesus didn't just look to the situation, he looked through the situation to the intent behind the situation. And what Jesus saw is he saw that it was intentional, but it wasn't their intent. Something can be intentional and not be someone's intent. What are you saying, preacher? They knew they were killing him, it was intentional. They meant to kill him. Hey, hey, hey, give, hey, give us Barabbas, kill Jesus. Give us Barabbas, kill Jesus, crucify him, crucify him, crucify him, crucify him. They knew what they was doing. It was intentional, but it was not their intent. How do you know it wasn't their intent? Because Jesus knew it wasn't their intent. He said, Father, they know not what they do. They didn't know what they was doing. Why? Because they didn't know that they was killing the person that created them. They didn't know they was killing the person that knitted them together in their mother's womb. They didn't know that they was killing God, they thought they was just killing a man. They didn't know that they was killing the savior, they thought they was just killing a stranger. They didn't know, they didn't know that they was killing the king of the universe. They didn't know if they actually knew who he was, they wouldn't have killed him. Even the Bible said if the princes of this world had known, they wouldn't have crucified him, they wouldn't have done it, the demons wouldn't have done it because his crucifixion led to resurrection, not only his but yours and mine. They didn't know who they were killing. Because had they known, they wouldn't have done it. And I just want you to know you can't just look to a situation, you have to look through a situation. Because many people that hurt you, it was probably on purpose and it was probably intentional, but they didn't know that they was harming God's daughter, they didn't know that they was hurting God's beloved, they didn't know what they were doing because most of the people that broke you is because they were first broken. Most of the people that betrayed you is because they was betrayed. Why? Because hurt people hurt people and broken people break people and rejected people reject people and persecuted people persecute people. They didn't know, and you gotta have the wisdom and you gotta have the foresight to see through a situation. They didn't know, they didn't know, they didn't know, they didn't know, they didn't know, they did not know. Jesus said, Father, forgive them for they know not what they do. And this is the perspective that Jesus had. And I just want you to know that you have to forgive, you have to normalize forgiving, you have to make forgiven a habit. You have to forgive because you need forgiveness. I remember my mom told me I was young, I was acting all high and mighty, and I'm perfect, and I don't do nothing wrong. And my mama came to my room, she brought me revelation. She said, Boy, I just want you to know your poops stink too. Now I don't know what that got to do with forgiveness, but here's what I think she meant. I think she meant that you ain't perfect, that you make mistakes too, that you do things wrong too. Your poops stink too, and I want you to know it stink. And you may be in the bathroom, like, I don't smell nothing, I smell nothing, we smell it. And some of y'all walk around with an attitude, talking about I don't smell nothing. We all smell your attitude. Walking around full of pride, I don't feel nothing, I don't smell nothing. We smell that pride. Walking around being mean and hateful, and you like, I don't smell nothing. We're like, we smell the hate coming off of you. Just because you don't smell it, don't mean it ain't there. You have become desensitized to yourself. Your poop stinks too. You need forgiveness too. You need the grace of God too, you need the mercy of God too, you need the forgiveness of Jesus too. If you can't forgive and you're a grudge holder, you may want to slow down on getting married. Because you want to know a secret to a great marriage? Two people that's good at forgiving. I am one of those people where I like everything a certain way. If I put something there to be there for a hundred years, if I put it here, it's there. You can count on it, you can bake it, you can talk to me. I've been another state. I'm like, it's right there to the left, 20 degrees away from the sink. 20 degrees. I can give you, I can give you the the the pinpoint of where it's at. And God said, Okay, boy, I got you. I'm gonna marry you your opposite. My wife is gonna put something in a different place her time. And I'm walking around the house having to forgive her. And I see why Jesus said 70 times, seven, because that's how many times she put myself in a different place. I'm just like, where's my coat? I love her and I forgive her. Where's my keys? I love her and I forgive her. Where's the water? What's in this now? What's better over here, honey? No, it's not, it's better where it's been. Well, the keys no longer gonna hit them. The keys over here. When did we have a committee meeting over this? It's better. Love you. And I just forgive, forgive, forgive, forgive, forgive. Just like she gotta forgive me. She'd be like, hey, do you want anything? You want any pizza? I'll be like, oh no, I'm all good. She gets her pizza. I'm like, hey girl. I just get like one bite. I get a whole slice, and she's like, You said you didn't want no pizza. I said, that was before I smelled it. And she gave me all her pizza. And she's just frowning, then she'd be like, I love you. And I'm like, she just forgave me. Marriage is all about forgiveness. It's all about forgiveness. In the middle of the night, he's nowhere. You just like, I forgive you in the name of Jesus. I forgive you. I'm tired, but I forgive you. Then every now and then you ebb on him and you're like, oops, he wake up, huh? You're like, um, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. No, you ain't. You did it on purpose. Forgiveness can be hard, but you gotta master it. And I want you to know this. You were actually, even though you were born in sin and saved into iniquity, you actually came to this earth with a large capacity to forgive. That unforgiveness is actually learned and developed. You came to forgive them. I'll tell you how I know it. It's because kids are really good at forgiving. They are so good. They be mad for a little bit and then they good. I'll watch my daughter, and her mom will literally give her a little spanking, then a little wrist spanking. I ain't not the kind I got, but I got. You know what I'm saying? Like mama was like, I'm like, girl, did you tap dance? The way I got God. But kids are resilient, they forgive. Five minutes later, she's like, I love my mommy. I love her so much. I'm like, huh? I will say it's harder for her to forgive me. She'd give her mama three minutes. It takes 30 to forgive me. I'm like, see how fast she'd give her mama. I'll just be cutting my eyes and mom and daughter vibe. But kids came on this earth with high capacities to forgive. Animals are the same way I used to raise dogs. And I remember I had this dog and I stepped on his foot. He was came back out with a biscuit. He was like, You forgave me that quick, that fast. They let it go. They let it go. But you want to know what you do? You hold it for years. And you don't let it go. And your inability to forgive and let things go is being weaponized against you by the devil. He's weaponizing your grudge holding. He's weaponizing you not forgiving nothing. He's weaponizing you not letting things go. He's using it against you. And you're like, how does the devil keep coming in my life? It's because your unforgiving heart is a key to your life to the devil. Hunters wanted to know how to capture these monkeys that were stealing their vegetation. One of the guys did his research and he came up with a philosophy he found out about monkeys. And he found out that if a monkey received something free, they couldn't walk away from it. If a monkey got something free, they couldn't walk away from it. I guess monkeys love a bargain. So what he did was he had this fence around his property. And inside the fence he had cups lined up. That was in the fence with fruit in it. It was tight cups, so the monkeys would come, they would slide their fingers in the cup, they would grab the fruit and make a fist. And when they tried to pull their fist out, their hand would get stuck in a cup and it couldn't come out. And it was staggering because the monkeys would sit there for hours until the hunters came and they would still be sitting on a fence, pulling on the gate, trying to grab this free fruit. All the way to the point of them being captured. They would get captured because they would make a fence that had no chains on their neck. They wasn't fenced in. They were captured because they couldn't let go of the free fruit. And many of you guys are being attacked by the devil. You're being attacked by the enemy. You're being attacked by people, and the enemy is coming, picking you off because you can't let go of what they've done. You can't let go of the betrayal. You can't let go of the pain. So you are stuck in the zone being attacked by the devil because you can't let it go. He keeps rewounding you because you can't let it go. He keeps destroying your marriage because you can't let it go. Your relationships with your kids are destroyed because you can't let go what mama did to you. And because you can't let it go, the enemy is using your inability to let it go and walk away. He's using that to weaponize everything in your life and to make you pay an expensive cost. Church, let it let it. What helps you let it go is perspective. Perspective is what God gave you to redirect the pain. See, the reason it hurts so much is because of your perspective. See, it hurts so much because you were my parents and you were supposed to love me and you felt me and I'm hurt. Okay, that's one way to see it. Let me give you another perspective. Your parents were hurt too. They were failed too. And they're struggling, giving you what they never received. And most of the time, when your parents are not giving you something, it's because they didn't get it. And maybe they're a hundred times better to you than their parents was to them. Maybe they gave you a hundred times more than what their parents gave to them, and maybe it's not enough for you, and maybe conversations need to happen. But you have to know that usually when people can't give you something, it's because they don't have it. When they break you, it's because they are broken. You have to have perspective because sometimes when people attack you, they're not attacking you, they're actually attacking themselves. And you have to see it. And I grew up, my parents are heroes, and and they've made mistakes like everyone else's parents, but I had to eventually see you're more than just my dad, you're a man with flaws who needs prayer and healing and Jesus and mentorship and discipleship. And I'm gonna pray for you and intercede for you because you need it, because you were broken, and just because you're tall and grown with a beard doesn't mean there's not a little boy in there still crying. We have to let it go. I received so many messages this week, so many messages, people like, man, I love the way you handled this thing on cheers and jeers. And man, I'm praying for you, and I'm sorry you were under attack, and I'm so sorry you went through what you went through, and I'm sorry you were under attack. And some people I replied back to, and I said, I thank you so much for caring about me, your concern, and your testimonies. I was like, But I was never under attack. I was never attacked. Hey, no one never said my name. They mentioned our church and they said that we didn't help them, and the premise of that wasn't true because we helped this person plenty of times, even in that exact situation. We helped, maybe it wasn't what they wanted, but we did help, and I'm not bashing anyone, but I was never attacked. I was not attacked. Our church wasn't attacked, most of the comments outside of two wasn't an attack on our church. I was not attacked, we wasn't attacked, radiant church wasn't attacked, the church was attacked, not our church. You can't attack us because you don't know us. You can't attack us if you've never been here. They didn't attack us, they attacked the church. So the question is so why did you respond to everybody? Because I'm not just a part of Radiant Church, I'm a part of the church, which is the bride of Christ, and I'm gonna love the bride and serve the bride and defend the bride. Why? Because if I love my king, I got the love of his bride, and I was standing together for his bride, and everyone that says something is not our enemy, they're my mission field. They're not an enemy. If someone chooses to be an enemy to me, fucking, I have no enemies. Why? Because I was an enemy in the foe to God, and he forgave me, and he died for me, and he bled for me, and he let me off the hook when I didn't deserve it, and I'll do it for everybody that comes in my path. You can't attack me if you don't know me. And this is why Jesus said, Forgive them, for they know not what they do. How could they know what they're doing if they didn't even know who he was? The only person Jesus could have truly felt betrayed by was Judas. Because Judas actually knew him, and he still chose to not feel betrayed. Jesus didn't see betrayal as a right to have unforgiveness. He let it go. Why? Because Jesus is saying, How can I not forgive the people I'm dying for?

Come on.

SPEAKER_02

And Jesus said, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. And Jesus had such a heart to forgive and such a mind of wisdom that as they was nailing him, he was forgiving them. As they was pinning him to the cross, he was unpinning their sins from the cross. As they beat them, he forgave them. As they spat on him, he forgave them. As they put a crown of thorns in his head, he forgave them. As they lasted him on his back, he forgave them. As they kicked him, he forgave him. And stumped him, he forgave him. Why? Because I came here to die for you, and I'm not gonna let you cause me to disqualify that. When people attack the church, we don't attack back, we love back and serve back and pray back and intercede back. Why? Because they're the reason we do it, they're not our enemies, they're our mission field, they're the reason why I preach, they're the reason why I come, they're the reason why I stay up late and I prepare these sermons and I preach like I'm a dying man, talking to dying people. They're the reason I'm gonna attack them. They're the reason I'm a preacher. If they didn't feel this way, why would God need me and why would He need you? We gotta quit taking things so personal, it's not an attack against you. Hey, I'm not the main character, Jesus is I can't feel attacked. I'm not important enough. I'm not relevant enough. He's the author, and if he forgave who was killing him, I could forgive someone lying on me. I could forgive someone attacking me. I could feel someone that betrayed me. I could feel someone that abused me, I could forgive someone that felt me because Jesus forgave me when I did all that to him. I want to show you something in the Bible, and if you didn't heard nothing else I said today, please don't miss this. Don't miss it, don't miss it, don't miss it. In the Old Testament, whenever the day of Passover would come and they would sacrifice a lamb for their sins, the family would get the lamb four days before Passover, where that lamb was slain for their sins. Which means for four days they would walk with that lamb and develop relationship with that lamb. And I'm sure the kids would play with that lamb and fall in love and fall in love with that lamb and they would spend time with it and they would examine the lamb, they couldn't get any lamb, they had to examine it and make sure it didn't have spot, wreck, or blemish. It was a blameless lamb so it could be worthy to carry sin. This is what they did in the Old Testament, and I'm sure the kids would play with that lamb, and when the Passover day would come, I'm sure the children would be like, Dad, why do we have to kill this beautiful, blameless lamb? And I'm sure the father would probably say, This lamb has to die so you don't have to. Come on, and I just want you to know something. Four days before Calvary, that Jesus would be crucified, he came on the scene four days before he would be crucified as the Lamb of God, and he lived among the people, and he walked among the people, and he answered their questions, and he went to their temple, and he was with them four days before they would have to crucify him. Why? Because he was filled with fulfilling the picture of prophecy because they picked their lamb out four days early, the Lamb of God came on the scene four days early. Now, when I read the scripture, don't miss it, it said that Herod and Pilate examined him multiple times and they didn't find him guilty, they found him innocent. Why did they find him innocent? It's because in the Old Testament, when they examined the lamb, they had to be sure it was blameless. So when Herod and Pilate examined him, he had to be blameless. With no fault and no guilt, they would have to find him blameless because if there was fault on him, he wouldn't have been a spotless lamb. He had to be innocent to die for your sin. He couldn't be guilty. So just like they got an innocent lamb, our lamb, when he was examined by Herod and Pilate, he was found innocent. Because if they said he was guilty, he was no longer worthy to be a sacrifice for you and I. And they he fulfilled the prophecy of Passover right there. But he also fulfilled the prophecy of atonement because on the Day of Atonement, they would bring two goats to the Day of Atonement, and one goat would be slain and killed and executed for the sins of the people, and the second goat would be a scapegoat, and they would place the sins metaphorically on that goat and they would let him go free in the wilderness. Well, when Jesus came, he was fulfilling atonement because Jesus and Barabbas was before the people, and Jesus was the innocent goat, and Barabbas was the guilty goat, he had committed murder, but they let Barabbas go and they murdered Jesus for a murderer because Barabbas got to leave us the scapegoat, and Jesus was the goat that died and paid for our sins, and he was innocent, and Barabbas was guilty. I don't want you to miss this story because I want you to dig in a little deeper. Barabbas's name was actually Jesus Barabbas. There was two goats, one was crucified, one one is the scapegoat, but they were two of the same goats. And now, as Jesus is finna do atonement, you have Jesus Christ and Jesus Barabbas. Jesus Christ and Jesus Barabbas. And Jesus Barabbas got to go free while Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross. Barabbas means son of the father. There were two sons of the father here. One got to leave free, and one was crucified. I want you to know that you are a son and a daughter of the father, and Barabbas represented you. And Barabbas got to go free, though he was guilty, and Jesus paid. And I want you to know you are Barabbas. That you get to go free while Jesus paid. And people have messaged me and they're like, Pastor, you didn't deserve that. And we know the truth. And maybe in this situation, maybe I didn't do what they said I did, but I want you guys to know I'm still guilty. I've committed many sins, I've hurt many people, I've wronged many people. I'm not a hero of no story. I'm a guilty man. I'm guilty as charge. And no matter what they said, I could never get offended because deep down in my heart, I know I'm guilty. There's hurting people I walk past. There's people that need prayer I didn't pray for. There's people that needed help and I didn't help. There's people that needed to be loved and I didn't love. And even if I didn't do that one, I did many other ones. I am not an innocent man. There's only one innocent. And yeah, they may have slandered us on social media, but he was slain in person. They may have tried to destroy our reputation, but they destroyed his body. They may have drugged out our name, but he was drugged through the dirt. They may have hung us out to dry, but he was hung on the cross. I'm not a hero. He's the hero of this story. He's the only one innocent. He's the only one that was innocent and was treated as if he was guilty. He was the only person that had the right to unforgive, to have unforgiveness. And he said, Father, forgive them for they know not what they do. In Radiant Church, we have to be the same way. We have to forgive people for they know not what they do. And we have to be a light. We have to be a light because we serve Jesus. And I just want you to know that He was crucified and He was innocent. You're guilty.

And I'm guilty.

So when we go through persecution and hardships, before we can feel sorry for ourselves, we have to look at our innocent king who was slain, and we have to get the revelation and the gratitude in our heart and be able to say, There's no one like the Lord. There's no one like the Lord. There's no one like him.
