SPEAKER_02This side of Country Live with Trav and Kiesta. Slam a coffee, then grab another cup, and tune in Monday mornings on 95.9.
SPEAKER_06If you are tuned into this side of Country Live with Trav and Kiesta, powered each and every day by Fix It Forward Auto Care. Stay true live coming up October 6th and 7th, right here in Fargo. It's going to be a two-day event. I can't wait to hear all about this. We did this last year. It's back again this year. And we've got the captain in the uh captain of the shipping studio here.
SPEAKER_03Yes, we do. This event is led by Dr. Tip Johnson. So thank you for being here, Dr. Tip.
SPEAKER_04You're welcome.
SPEAKER_03I love it when you get to just talk about the gifts that you bring to their room and the reasons to be in the room and really the feeling that I would say you create. I mean, you don't give it to anyone, you just like lead us into that feeling and openness and vulnerability. So I could go on for five hours about it, but we're really here to listen to why do you think the listener today should buy that ticket to be in that room?
SPEAKER_04Oh, it's like the million-dollar question. You know, I've I I really see people in three different phases want to be there. One is the I actually feel like I'm kind of lost. I'm not really sure who I am anymore. Um, that could come off a pivot. That could come off like a relationship change, a money change, a job change. Yeah. Or maybe, I mean, I I know people don't always know. Like one of my one of my things is you are a woman with home, work, and a mission. Yeah. And it is our our duty, is like from my like God-given perspective, yeah, to follow the calling that you were given. And so I see people there, like kind of stuck, kind of lost. Like, hey, I just need to be in this room to like bring something in me, you know, like that spark that we feel. Um need a purpose. A purpose. Yeah. And I I'm um I'm I'm a reader. I'm a I have kind of like gotten away from a lot of the digital things. So I'm back to like that's great. Paper, yes, pages, you're such a good feeling, flipping pages in a book. Yes. And at the core of of my body of work is if we don't have a reason, I think we are in a world of hurt. Right. Depression and all all the things that lead into not being aligned to what you're really meant to do. And so some people are like, Tiff, this is that's the really deep. I'm like, but if we don't go here, and if somebody's not willing to go here, who who is?
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04And it's really rooted in in that faith, like truly the the the faith that's within you, you're co-creating with God into in terms of like what do you want to bring to the world?
SPEAKER_06You know, when I think of this, the first group of people I think of are those who retire. They've had a purpose throughout their life. Now what do I do with myself? You know, they don't want to feel like they're just wasting away for the last couple of years here.
SPEAKER_04What was really awesome last year was there were like 17-year-olds and 80-year-olds at the same table. At the same table. And I think we're missing this. I think we're missing generational growth, right? Like because look at the mill millennials, like the ones that are not on digital detox, they actually don't know their purpose either because they are there's so much noise. Right. And they're performing and they're producing and they're going, it's a rat race and they never slow down. Still don't really know who they are. You know, I think that's the whole this is the like fulfillment is the whole part of life at the core of it. There has to be some reason. Yeah. I do believe. I believe that I this is what I'm meant to to bring to the world in ways that when w a woman changes, everything changes.
SPEAKER_06Yes.
SPEAKER_03Well, and I was recently asked about your your coaching, and so um, just knowing that I've been involved in your world in different facets for many of years, asked me, and I said, unless you want someone to look you in the eyes and tell you the truth, do not work with Tiff Tiff, don't. Amen. And she was like, uh, her face was very confused. Like, uh, don't you like working with her question mark? And I said, Yes, but this person struggles with relationships. And I looked her in the eyes and I said, Tiff will look at you and say, It isn't the other person, it's you. You don't believe you're valuable, you don't believe you're good enough, it's not them telling you this. And then she started like having tears in her eyes, and I'm like, that's not that's not my place, but that's why you need to work with her. So I want you to elaborate a little bit more on that, like the intuitiveness of like I can say I'm fine to you, and then you give me a hug and you're like, Yeah, let's let's call. I'm gonna call you later because you're not fine. Because what is that? And like, how did you come to to find that about yourself? Because that's what you're trying to give to all these women. You had to work through that yourself. Thank you. That like makes me teary.
SPEAKER_04Well, I started as a chiropractor, and this this sounds weird, and I know that weird things are usually cool. Yeah, weird is always cool. Yes, weird does this does sound weird. I started adjusting people's dark. And so when I see people on the table, I want to bring them closer to light, closer to God, closer to fulfillment, closer to purpose. Yeah. And so this is not what people talk about in character. Yeah, right. Um, but to me, that's the whole essence. The essence is you were made for more, you were born for more, and not to seek and not to search, and not to believe that you aren't that already. But there's something in you that's calling you forward. I even think of the second person in what what I see this next person is life is always already really good, but there's a soul tapping on the glass. Yeah. On like ping ping ping. And so I've for some reason always had that intuition. I've always felt people and read people. I've overstepped many times to be like, I see you and I feel you, and oh, they're not quite ready for that. Yeah, right. And so this room is about really like having that be the foundation of of the whole, the whole part. Like we have forgotten as women, men too, yeah. I would say the language of our body. We've forgotten our own voice. Yep. We don't know what feeling alive like really feels like, even from the outside. Oh, yeah. You're living like you're living an extraordinary life, but there's something. There's something in you. Whether you don't think you have it, whether it's starting to sparkle, or whether you want to scale that thing, like you want to bring that out. That's what I do. Yeah, that's who I am.
SPEAKER_03I got a question here. We got a hand raise. No, I love it. It was like that was exactly the answer I was like going for. I wanted that to be the message you gave.
SPEAKER_06You dabbled on it here. And if you look at your your live event here, which you can go to staytrumovement.com. Uh, it says for women who don't want to choose between wealth leadership and home. Now, why is the focus on women? We as men here, I know. What are we no, I just want to know what are we missing as men that we're maybe not doing enough to support the women in our lives that uh they feel like they aren't finding that purpose? Why is this event focused on women? What what is going on with with women that you don't feel the men need to be a part of this particular event?
SPEAKER_04You know, this has been one of my biggest struggles. Yeah. Because last year I I contemplated everyone. Yeah. Actually, my mastermind initially, like four years ago, I contemplated both men and women. Um, people are like, yeah, you should do relationship mentorship. I'm like, nah, I don't I feel like that. But when a family changes, this is my one of my core beliefs and my my core teaching is your you gotta get your home right.
SPEAKER_06Yep.
SPEAKER_04Yep. You gotta get your home right. And a mission can still happen without your home. And work purpose can also happen without your home. Yeah. But to your point of why women, yeah, um I well most women are the co-regulator for their kids. Right. Well, most women are their co-regulator for their man. Sure. Yep. And we don't that I I'm not necessarily saying that's probably how we want it. Right. But the the amount of pressure that we feel in all of the roles with losing our sovereignty. Right. That is the core part. Right. You dudes are really like very most of you are very clear to say, like, I like this and I don't like this, I want this and I don't want this. Sure. I actually don't really care what you think. Right. Yeah. We do not do that. Right. And so it's like building this, how do you build a a family, a life, a community? Yeah, while not losing yourself in the process. How do you climb the ladder of your of your business or your your in with your employer without losing yourself in the identity of the achiever and and all the things that go with that? I can speak to I quote totally lost myself slash found myself in my business. Like that was the thing that made me realize, oh, I got so much more.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04And then I needed to re-identify with my husband. Yep. And then I needed to re-identify as a mom and not make those roles be the only thing that we are. Right. So in this society, most women do work. Yeah. Right. Like we do have, maybe not a purpose, but we feel like we have to. Right. So from a man's perspective, man, if you can see that woman as the fierce feminine that she is, she will begin to come alive.
SPEAKER_06Oh, absolutely. I mean, when my wife and I go to a restaurant, I mean, I let her say, we ordered fries, not mashed potatoes. Somebody's got to tell the waiter, it ain't gonna be me. She's very much the get it done kind of gal. But I, you know, that's what I wanted to know because we men need to make sure we're playing a supportive role back to our wives. We're always hearing about how women support their husbands, even with their own full-time careers and their full lives. We as men need to know what we can do to support the women in our lives so that they can continue to find their purpose and and move forward with that momentum as well. Because one of the people that I have the most respect for in the world is my wife, especially after what I went through earlier this year, and everything that she had to go through along with me, my my hat's off to her. Salute to her. She's just been absolutely phenomenal. Yeah. Can't do it without the women.
SPEAKER_03I think more men need to ask the question that you're asking. Yeah. And that's really it. And I think more women need to hold their ground for the expectation that they've set for their home life that they want. Right. The personally, that's something that and I went to Save True Alive last year. I was one of those that caught a beach ball and had to talk to the microphone, had to, got to, whatever. You just threw it right to her, didn't you? No, but that, okay, so that was just a godwink of like share that, share this in the microphone.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And it was like a lot of, I'm not even gonna look at her because I'll start crying, but there was like that moment of if you don't start doing something, you're gonna fall to the wayside of what your life is dragging you behind. So you gotta start making decisions. Absolutely. And now today, like there's been some crazy things that we just talked about off air in my family, where it's to Jason, I'll say, I don't need this, right? I don't need feedback, I don't need anything other than you just to listen with your mouth closed and your phone down. That's it. But for a woman to say that to their husband, I need you to sit there and listen with your phone down, that takes courage. Right because you're telling an equal partner what to do. Then you're putting yourself in that, in that, you know, I don't know what it's over role, yeah, better mothering or whatever, mothering role, which we don't want to do to her husband. So back to that original thing, Trav, is kudos to you for just being curious of what you can do to support.
SPEAKER_06I feel good about myself already, because you mentioned one thing that I make sure I do when my wife wants to talk and you know she would like to be heard. I mean, we always want to be heard when we're having a conversation. I will put that phone down, fold my hands, and I will look right at her in the eye while she's talking because that's a lot of the time where we, uh-huh. Yep, yep. It is what issues. You might as well not say anything then. Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_03Well, hundred percent. And I'll at the end of if you're doing that, I would encourage a woman if you're talking and your husband's not painting, just say something crazy, like, oh, and that unicorn flew by. See you later. Yes, and then walk her through the week. Yes. Because, like, if you want to be truly listened to, you just have to set the expectation. And that's what this event will do. It will give you the your mission, it will provide what you want as the expectation.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And then she's gonna make those boots hit the ground that day. I love it. I love it.
SPEAKER_04There's a lot of like on the floor stuff this year, different than last year. That was probably my greatest feedback. Okay. The floor means kind of my kind of my magic.
SPEAKER_03She's like, she's walking around with a microphone.
SPEAKER_04I'm walking around with a microphone and doing breakthrough work, right? Because I believe we are meant to not not only remember who we are and what we do, and this is this is a constant evolution through life, but we gotta build it. Yeah, stop thinking about it. So day two is really about building it. And I even think the the third person that walks in is her life is extraordinary, and now she wants to shoot the moon. Like that's jargony talk, but yeah, I think we all know what that means. Like, let's go. Let's bring people with us and let's do this thing.
SPEAKER_03Yes. So and why not today? So October 6th and 7th, is it at the Avalon again? It is at the Avalon Event Center, one of the best venues. Nine to five both days. Yeah. Get your tickets, stay true movement.com.
SPEAKER_04I imagine you have some guest speakers for something like this. We do. Yeah. We have a beautiful lineup this year. Um, Hunter Pinky, you know, absolutely. Yeah, so Hunter and his mom. Um, he has keynotes that he's like, Tiff, I'm gonna do a different keynote, and I want my mom, Katie, with me. Yes. Oh my gosh. Um, so him, um, and then I have four main stage to two other um like breakout rooms. Yeah. And yeah, so I'm doing breakout rooms. Okay, cool. And it is like bringing the um one of the things about women to your point of like, how do I so when I said feminine, it's like how do we help each other be more creative? Yes. And so so much of day one is going to be kind of back to our childhood roots of of creating, of like honestly, coloring where he went, we're gonna have brands and markers and paper and cool. Um, so this is an opportunity to shut the noise out to the point of phones, yep. Shut the noise out um and truly create something through you, right? Yeah, let not sit there and listen. And that's that's one thing about like how I feel about speakers, even last year. But this year is pouring into the experience as it just compounds, right? Yeah, as we just continue to do it so that on day two you really are clear about what you might want to build, and maybe one thing that lit you up and that you felt this little twirly gurgle, that that feeling alive, just one thing. People will have many things.
SPEAKER_06I got another question. Yes, the gal to my right here. All right, so I've I've I invited Kiesta to be a part of this show a couple of years ago because I knew of her value already, but I wanted more for her. I wanted more for us. And so now, as co-hosts, what can I do to make sure that I'm bringing value to her in her role here? So she feels like she's growing with this radio show. She's getting more out of this, she's getting support from her team member here. Just off the top of your head, knowing what I've said here, what are some things that I can do to make sure that she feels like I've got a a even more firm foot in the foundation of this radio show?
SPEAKER_04Well, Kiesta's brilliance is out-of-the-box thinking and innovation. And so um, she'll be bored if you're not asking her, like, what are the things that I have not even like thought about? Right. How could we what are the collaborations? What are those partnerships, and not only through story, but like you think different than most people, um, even just since I've known you in the last few years of like how you're taking your power and then creating it, not necessarily for yourself like you used to, because you probably preserved more, right? Like you protected more, to the point of that's what we win and women do. Yeah. When we don't feel heard, we protect, right? And then it looks selfish, right? And then it looks put off, you know, like that's not a good thing. We're the problem. Yes, but we are the problem. Yeah, exactly. Right. So it is like how how you create, which I imagine just in this conversation, Trav, you create a beautiful space for people to rise and to to step into that next iteration and that next evolution, and like connections and beauty and magic and innovation is her.
SPEAKER_06Absolutely. Fantastic. We're gonna work on that.
SPEAKER_03Well, hey, you already uh I'm MC Papapalooza, we're back for Junktoberfest. You do throw me into a lot of fun stuff that does challenge me. So you're already doing it. So thank you.
SPEAKER_06Love it. One more time. This event coming up October 6th and 7th. Stay true, live, gonna be at the Avalon. Yeah. You're gonna be there? Hopefully. Yeah. Better be. I hope you see. This is what happens.
SPEAKER_03Well, then I'll be there.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Yay! If if I gotta buy her ticket, we want to send her.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but now I'll just invite my boss to come with me, and then she'll say, Yeah, of course we'll do this. That's that's one thing that was magic last year.
SPEAKER_04There were teams there. Yeah. And there will be teams like. Oh my gosh. If you can get your your friends, your whatever team you got, like doesn't necessarily need to be a work team, but your family, your friends, your people, yeah, when they go through this together, it's kind of like um Jesse Itzler talks about you will have the most connection with people when you do something really, really hard. Right? You run a marathon, you do a hundred-mile things. Yes. Compared to having coffee with somebody every single day. You will have more connection with them. So that's how I think of it about this event, too. How do we create enough like challenge and unknown and edginess to be like, I will never forget this moment and this day with you?
SPEAKER_06Love that.
SPEAKER_03I love it. You will never forget. Exactly. So if you don't have your tickets yet, stay true movement.com October 6th and 7th. Thank you so much for being here today, Dr. Dev. Welcome. This side of Country Live with Trav and Kiesta.
SPEAKER_02Slam a coffee, then grab another cup, and tune in Monday mornings on 95.9.
