The First Gospel Sermon, Pt. 2- “Both LORD and Messiah": Acts 2:22-36

In this sermon, we dig into the core of Peter's first Gospel sermon, which is an early version of the Kerygma (the foundational teachings of the Apostles for evangelism and defense of the faith). We explore Peter's arguments about the historical nature of Jesus' life, death, resurrection and glorification; the use of the Psalms to indicate someone greater than David; God's plan for salvation; and the dangerous climax of it all- that "God has made Jesus to be both Lord and Messiah." We also take a brief moment to embarrass Chris' wife by discussing her experience with childbirth, but that'll make sense in context. Maybe.
