Not In My House (A Basketball Podcast)
Fred Roberts: BYU Legend & NBA Player
Show Notes

BYU is represented once again on the podcast! BYU legend and former NBA player Fred Roberts joins the show! No Eric today so Fred was stuck sharing his hoops journey with just Zach for an episode filled with great stories from an amazing era of hoops!

Fred Roberts was a standout high school star from Bingham High School In South Jordan Utah. He went on to play on that incredible BYU squad that starred Danny Ainge and of course our Not In My House alumni’s Greg Kite and Devin Durrant. He was selected 27th overall in the 1982 NBA Draft where he went on to have a successful 13 year career in the NBA. He also played a few seasons overseas where he was a Spanish Cup Winner. Roberts shares great stories about growing up in Utah, choosing BYU, Devin Durrant, Greg Kite, Danny Ainge, Edgar Jones, George Gervin, John Stockton, Karl Malone, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, coaching and MUCH more!

We can’t thank Fred enough for taking the time to share his story and for having to deal with just Zach today. This was truly an honor to learn from someone who played in our favorite era of hoops and who played with and against some of the best players to ever play the game. Aside from basketball, Fred has been giving back by teaching and coaching which is a special thing to help and connect with the youth. Don’t sleep on this episode!

Thank you Fred Roberts!
