Not In My House (A Basketball Podcast)
We have a strong love for basketball and the doors that it can open outside of the game itself. We love to give current and former players, coaches, artists, and historians their recognition and the platform they deserve to tell their story and teach our listeners about the game and applying lessons we learn from hoops to everyday life. We don't care for hot takes, we don't care for debates but we do care about giving back to the game and giving people the recognition they deserve for their hard work, dedication, their experiences and their knowledge to give our listeners and ourselves a better understanding of the game, the business, and life beyond hoops. We also like to have have fun! Any Questions? Suggestions? You can email us at Notinmyhousepodcast@gmail.com Much Love to you all! Twitter - @NOTINMYHOUSEpc Instagram- @not_in_my_house_podcast
Not In My House (A Basketball Podcast)
Johnny Fayne: SIU & Carbondale Legend
SIU is finally represented on this podcast! We got SIU & Carbondale legend Johnny Fayne on the show today for one of the most fun episodes we’ve had. He was one of the first names that former guest, Stephen Bardo, brought up when talking about the best to come out of the area, and Zach’s dad had the chance to play against Fayne so this one was a special treat.
Fayne was a decorated high school player at Carbondale Community High School and a key member of those early 80’s SIU teams. The strong frame along with his amazing handle and guard skills made him a TOUGH cover for all of those that he went up against. Fayne tells us about Attucks Park, Larry Bird, Earl Monroe, Dominque Wilkins, Kevin McHale, Dodge City CC, SIU, Derek Harper, Paul Pressey, Fresh Start Facility Services, and MUCH more!
BIG Thanks to Johnny Fayne for all of the laughs and amazing basketball and business stories. We of course have respect for the amazing players in the game of hoops, but we really admire what athletes do AFTER the ball is done bouncing. The success of Johnny Fayne after basketball is what we should all strive for.
Thank you Johnny Fayne!
