Not In My House (A Basketball Podcast)
We have a strong love for basketball and the doors that it can open outside of the game itself. We love to give current and former players, coaches, artists, and historians their recognition and the platform they deserve to tell their story and teach our listeners about the game and applying lessons we learn from hoops to everyday life. We don't care for hot takes, we don't care for debates but we do care about giving back to the game and giving people the recognition they deserve for their hard work, dedication, their experiences and their knowledge to give our listeners and ourselves a better understanding of the game, the business, and life beyond hoops. We also like to have have fun! Any Questions? Suggestions? You can email us at Notinmyhousepodcast@gmail.com Much Love to you all! Twitter - @NOTINMYHOUSEpc Instagram- @not_in_my_house_podcast
Not In My House (A Basketball Podcast)
Mike Atkinson: NBA Performance Coach
Our Reno locals are going to love this one! Mike Atkinson joins the show today for an episode to remember. It is always a big deal and special thing for us any time that we can represent Reno on this show and this one is truly as special as it gets!
Atkinson grew up in Reno, NV where he was on some amazing, nationally ranked Galena High School teams. He went on to continue his basketball journey at the college and professional ranks before becoming one of the most well respected professional basketball performance trainers in the world. Mike takes us back to where it all started and shares great stories about growing up in Reno, Galena, JuCo experience, Missouri Valley College, Globetrotter tour, journey in coaching/training, Aubrey McCreary, Eric Musselman, Chris Brickley, Black Ops Basketball and MUCH more!
We can’t thank Mike Atkinson enough for taking the time to share his basketball story with us and all of the amazing things he is doing in the training world. He has made such an impact by just being authentic, himself, and having a true love and passion for what he does and it’s a beautiful thing to see. We enjoyed this conversation so much and continue to enjoy the impact he is making in the basketball world.
Thank you Mike Atkinson!
