We are starting 2022 hot! Any hoop head from the early 2000’s era will appreciate this one. J.R. Giddens is our first guest of the year (and season 3) for an episode that you don’t want to miss.
Giddens was a McDonald’s All-American in a STACKED class that featured LeBron James, CP3, Charlie Villanueva, Kendrick Perkins, Luol Deng and MANY others. He played his college hoops at both Kansas and New Mexico before being selected in the first round by the Boston Celtics and went on to have a great career in both the NBA and overseas. He shares great stories about growing up in OKC, LeBron James, Kevin Garnett, the business of professional basketball, wild experiences overseas, coaching and MUCH more.
Big thanks to Coach Giddens for taking the time to share his story and of all his experiences in the game. He was truly as real and candid as it gets along with plenty of laughs. Don’t you dare ask if he has “hung it up” though. He still has the bounce, the game and, competitive fire and we have a feeling we will see him back on the court real soon. No better way to kick off season 3 and the new year.
