Well, welcome to the Live to Shoot podcast. My name is Jeff Dole and I've been a life firearms dealer for the last 18 years. In this podcast we talk about all things related to Second Amendment, as well as anything else going in the world, a sports story, or anything else that I might find interesting. So welcome, welcome, welcome. This is the podcast where we stand tall for our God-given constitutional protected right to keep bear arms, no compromises. No apologies. Just straight talk about the Second Amendment is the backbone of of our freedom. So folks, today we've got a fired up episode for you. We're diving into the work of a legal warrior who's shaking things up at the Department of Justice and putting the Second Amendment infringements in her cross airs Harmit di. She's the new Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division, and this is a game changer and we're gonna break it down, down. So grab your coffee, your range bag, and let's get into it. So let's set the stage. You know, so for too long, you know, the second amendment that we've talked about has been treated like a, the redhead stepchild of all the Bill of Rights. Anti-gun politicians, activists, judges and bureaucrats have chipped away at our rights passing laws that infringe on our ability to defend ourselves, our families, and our communities. But the tide is. Attorney and Harmit is leading that charge. So if you don't know Harmit, lemme give you just a quick background on her. She's a conservative attorney from California. Yes, California. She's a fierce defender of our civil liberties. She's been a thorn in the side of the antica settle for years, and she's taken on big tech censorship, fought for free speech, and now as head of the DOG Civil Rights Division, she's made it crystal clear. The Second Amendment is a civil right and she's coming for the jurisdictions that violated. Now let's talk about why it matters. You know, for decades, the DOG Civil Rights Division has focused on everything but the Second Amendment, it's all about voting rights, housing discrimination, you name it, important stuff. Yes, but where was the love for that? Right to bear arms? Nowhere the division was stacked with attorneys who saw the two A as a nuisance, not a cornerstone of liberty. Now in her harm meet. In an interview with Glen Beck she dropped a bombshell under her leadership. The Civil Rights Division is expanding its mission to protect the Second Amendment, she said, and I quote, second Amendment issues are civil rights issues. Boom. That's the kind of clarity we've been waiting for. And she's not just paying at lip service, so she's putting in rogue states and cities on notice. So let's break down what she's doing. Army team is going after jurisdictions that openly flaunt Supreme Court precedent and the Constitution when it comes to our right to bear arms. Think about places like New York, California, Colorado, where anti-gun laws pile up faster than spent brass at the range. She's talking about states and cities that pass restrictive gun laws, ban so-called assault weapons, or make it impossible for law abiding systems to exercise their rights harm. Harm, meets messages you won't get away with it. And she's got the Supreme Court on her side. Decisions like Bron and Heller have made it clear that the right to keep a bear arms is that individual right, and the government can't just wish it away. Our mates leveraging those rulings to hold anti-gun legislators accountable, and she told the daily caller, her division will focus on defending the Second Amendment alongside other priorities like fighting antisemitism and ending race bias discrimination in employment now. Here's where things get spicy harm. Meets leadership has caused a stir big time since she took over in April, 2025. Over 200 attorneys, about 75% of the civil rights divisions have either resigned or taken buyouts. The established immediate spinning it like it's a crisis, whining that harm meets, reshaping the division to push Trump's agenda. Cry me a river. Our Meek's response, she's unfazed. She told Glen Beck over a hundred attorneys decide that they'd rather not do what their job require them to do, and I think it's fine. That's the kind of backbone we need. Look. If those attorneys can't handle defending all of our civil rights, including the Second Amendment, then good riddance harm's building a team that's energized. Lawyers who are ready to fight for our freedoms, not obstructed them. And she even said she doesn't care about their politics. She just wants people who will do the work and that, I think that's leadership. So let's zoom in on what that means for us. The law abiding gun owners harm rates focus on the Second Amendment, could open the door to new litigation. For years, two, A cases were dismissed by court that didn't see gun rights as civil rights. But now the DO J's Civil Rights Divisions backing us up, we've got a fighting chance to challenge unconstitutional laws and courts as ammo land has pointed out, this ship means Second Amendment. Civil rights can now be litigated. He says, and they won't, and they weren't before. Take Colorado for example. Post on X or buzzing about harmony, taking aim at what some call the Jared poll. Polis gun bans, laws that restrict, carry and infringe on our gun rights. One owner said that the civil rights divisions under harm could crush rogue legislators, but it's not just about lawsuits. Harm's sending a cultural message. The Second Amendment isn't up for debate. It's a right, it's not a privilege. She's calling out the hypocrisy states that claim to champion civil rights while stomping on our right to self-defense, and she's doing it with a full backing of fraternal General Pam Bonding and the Trump administration. So this is a top down commitment to restoring our freedoms. So, but outlets like, you know, M-S-N-B-C, New York Times, they're all clutching their pearls, accusing harmony of weaponizing the civil rights division to push cultural war agenda. They're mad because she's priority things like keeping men outta women's sports and ending woke indoctrination in schools. Oh, and she's defending the second amendment. Sounds like a win to me. But before we wrap up. About, let's talk about why Harmony's work is personal. For many of us, the Second Amendment isn't just about guns. It's about sovereignty. It's about telling the government, you don't get to decide how I protect my life, my family, and my community. Army gets that she's not some our ivory tower Bureau Catt, she's a fighter who's been in the trenches taking on powerful interest to defend our liberties. When she says jurisdictions that fly out the constitution, watch out. That's not just tough talk. That's a promise. And for every governor who's been harassed by red flag laws denied a carry permit and told the error, AR 15 is too dangerous, our meat dealing is a beacon of hope. So folks, that's it for today. Our meat's out there fighting for the good fight for us, and we've got our back. We've gotta keep the pressure on. Call your representatives, join your gun rights groups, and stay hit the range and stay sharp. Remember, the second Amendment is gonna continue to be under attack, but with warriors like Harmit and our corner, we're not just defending it, we're taking ground. So remember, this is a. Ongoing battle. And if we're gonna have to continue to fight, fight, fight, because it just takes one rogue legislator or one rogue judge to weaken our second amendment, right? So if you've loved this episode, share it with people. We've gotta get the message out. We gotta tell people about how to, we've gotta protect our second amendment. Email me, message me, text me.
