The Cost of Discipleship | March 16th, 2025

This past Sunday, we explored the cost of discipleship and Jesus’ call to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Him. Scripture shows that Jesus didn’t lead with promises of blessing but with the reality that following Him requires full surrender. Like the rich young ruler, we often struggle to let go of the things that compete for our devotion, whether wealth, comfort, or control. But Jesus calls us to release these lesser loves, not to burden us, but to free us for a deeper life with Him. True discipleship isn’t about loss—it’s about discovering the fullness of life that can only be found in Christ.
