The House God is Building | Week One | Luke 14:25-33 | January 4th, 2026

This Sunday, as this sanctuary turns 100, we remember a century of prayers, suffering, joy, and faithfulness through every major cultural and personal upheaval, and we recognize that God has been faithful in every generation. Scripture reminds us that this building is not a museum but a living house made of people, “living stones," and that Jesus calls us to move from being spiritual renters to fully owning our apprenticeship to Him, counting the real cost of discipleship. As we begin a new year and a new chapter, the question before us is not what this church will preserve, but what kind of people we will be as we go all in with Jesus, trusting that surrender leads not to loss, but to true life and a real home in God’s Kingdom.
