This week’s message continued our series “The House God Is Building,” focusing on how the Holy Spirit gives spiritual gifts so that the church can actually be built up, not just inspired. Spiritual gifts were framed as grace‑gifts given “for the common good,” never as spiritual trophies, and the sermon named both the beauty of the gifts and the real harm that can come from manipulation, pressure, or chaos related to them. The heart of the series and this message is a third way: a community that is open to the Spirit, anchored in Scripture, accountable in practice, and gentle with people’s stories, where love, not spectacle, is always at the center.
