The Acts of the Apostles | Week One | Acts 16:6-10 | June 21st, 2026

This week Joel walked through Acts 16:1-15, where the Holy Spirit repeatedly closes the doors Paul had carefully planned to go through, shutting down Asia and then Bithynia before redirecting him by a nighttime vision across the sea to Macedonia. He made the case that a closed door is often neither failure nor punishment but God's guidance, and that the faithful posture is open hands and moving feet, holding our plans loosely while staying ready to run the moment a new direction becomes clear. He brought it all to the table by pointing back to Jesus in Gethsemane, who surrendered when the Father closed the door on the cup of suffering and so became our open door into the Kingdom.
