The Acts of the Apostles | Week Five | Acts 18:9-10 | July 26th, 2026

This week Joel walked us through Acts 18, where Paul arrives alone in the loud, chaotic boomtown of Corinth by his own admission scared, in weakness and fear and trembling. He showed us the three gifts God gives frightened people: friends in Priscilla and Aquila who made sure Paul wasn't afraid alone, a promise in the night vision that "I am with you," and the assurance that God had already gone ahead of him, claiming many people in that city as His own before Paul had met a single one. We were left with the question of who the many people are that God already has in Nashville, still out there in the schools, job sites, recovery rooms, and shelters, and the reminder that when we're scared, God's got it.
